Shameless Self Promotion!
Posted 14 years agoSo its time to shamelessly self promote. First off, let's shamelessly self-promote this new thing I'm involved in: Writing for the Geek-Life website. Marron, our sultry Web Mistress of Voodoo Walrus, reigns over the Geek-Life site and has recently coaxed me into being a semi-regular contributor. My first offering it a review of the movie "Rubber" and can be found at http://geek-life.com/2011/07/15/the.....review-rubber/.
On the more furry side of things though, I have two brand new. all original pieces of art up for sale over on Furbuy! One is a fully realized graphite piece of a very busty, and very well "armed" pirate badger with an option to have it colored if bidding gets high enough.
The other piece is a basic piece of linework with various options to make it more awesome as the bids rise. It features a mouse, and elephant, and some major size difference.
You can find both of those at http://www.furbuy.com/seller/thebadgergrymm.html
Also, I'm still offering up a couple of slots to anyone who has previous commissioned me with graphite sketch pieces and would like to get them colored. Flat colors for $15, and full on extra shading and highlight and such for $20! If you're interested, comment below to claim a slot and I'm note you to get the proper info exchange going!

Any Past Graphite Commissioners Interested In Color? 3 Slots
Posted 14 years agoFigure I'd do another one these offer since they're quick, easy, and really, really fun!
Basically, if you've ever commissioner me for a graphite sketch commission in the past, and you'd like to get it colored, now your chance to get them digitally colored! It doesn't matter if I've sent you the original already or not because I back up old commission scans. So I can easily whip out the full size, high rez file and color it up!
To give you a visual smutty not at all safe for work sampling...
Graphite: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5333337/
Digital color: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5987632/
Fully colored with additional shading and highlighting to really make it pop! Or if you'd prefer I could just do a simple flat color layer instead!
Also, I'm going to consider this a sale off! So the price for flats goes from $15 to $10 and the price for full on shading and highlights and such goes from $25 to $20!
So, in short:
Three slots available to get old (and recently finished!) graphite commissions colored!
$10 for flat colors
$20 for full on extra shading and highlight and such.
First come first serve and if you have two pieces you want colored and want to be greedy and snag multiple slots, I'm cool with that.
So comment below and lay claim to a slot if you're interested! I intend to have these done within 48 hours of them being paid for!

Sweet Jegus, you're gone a week and stuff builds up
Posted 14 years agoLast journal was me speaking too soon. Now I'm back and slowly getting back into the groove despite lingering muscle pain and ache that's more annoyance than "ow ow oh god, just cut the limbs off and be done with it already".
I always hate it when I lose my productivity and response momentum though. It always feels so weird to reply to notes and such for commissions with the equivalent of "Yeah.. hi... sorry that you gave me all your info, your money, and then I disappeared for a longer while than I said... stuff... came up. But I'll have a wip scan to ya soon!"
Urhgh. At least my notifications aren't too out of hand. Gone a week and half with only 612 new submissions to clear out? I think that's pretty good. Okay. Need to go start drawing dragons and comic commissions now. Hopefully some of you will be sated by me throwing up a few Voodoo Walrus while I work on the... sexier things in the queue!

General Update (Where the fuck did Grymm go?)
Posted 14 years agoBeen a bit MIA as of late. Felt a bit under the weather and productivity has ground to a halt as of late and I despise that. I'm getting things back on track though. I'm hoping by this weekend I will have been a dent in the massive amount of notes and emails I have piled up. In the meantime, Voodoo Walrus is still updating Tuesday's and Wednesday's thanks to the the auto uploader/updater. Cause i sure hell haven't had a chance to crosspost the pages here or on my other galleries. I'll be back with new goodies next week for sure.

Color in MY Graphite Commissions?! Five Slots Available
Posted 14 years agoTHIS IS PRIMARILY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE COMMISSIONED ME FOR GRAPHITE COMMISSIONS IN THE PAST!
Hi all! I've had this brought up to me a couple of times before and I rather dig the idea so I thought I'd throw it out to all of you who have commissioned me for graphite pieces in the past!
Would you be interested in getting your graphite pieces digitally colored?
It would be a lot like how I do the Surrealis Grymmoire pages
Graphite: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5352850/
Digital color: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5712647/
Fully colored with additional shading and highlighting to really make it pop! Or if you'd prefer I could just do a simple flat color layer instead!
I'm going to go ahead and open up four slots for this and say its going to be a price tag of $15 to just get flat colors and $25 to get the whole shebang with extra shading and highlight and such! Gonna go ahead and say that for now, five slots are open for this. So if you'd like to take advantage of this, comment below and claim a slot and I'll get back to you via note!

Any Voodoo Walrus Fans Here?
Posted 14 years agoI know at least a few of my followers here enjoy the Voodoo Walrus webcomic that I and CreepKnight create ((EMBRACE THE WALRUS. VOODOOWALRUS.COM
"Voodoo Walrus: Making people say "What the buggery is this?" since 1837!")). But I also know that for a lot of my fans, its not their cup of tea either for the lack of furry characters, the oddity of it, or for the standard "I don't get it" reason. And that's cool. I get that.
But I'd love to know just how any of my FA fans might also be Walrus Embracers too, cause CreepKnight and I are planning something pretty big.
In the coming months, we're planning on rolling out three completely new chunks of merch. Two PDF volumes collecting all of what we're dubbing "Year Zero" (All the black and white Walrus pages up to the "Hobogeddon" story arc", and "Year One" which gathers the entire storyarc and all the pages from 2010. Each volume will also include all new cover art, exclusive never before seen art, salvaged conceptual stuff, and original scripts, along with bonus stuff from the original incarnation of the site like the bios, the FBI Files, and the original Ferretman comic which at times has been a major plot point for the Walrus.
The other thing we're rolling out is the Voodoo Walrus pen and paper Role playing game. Even now CreepKnight is knee deep in crafting the rule system and in the coming weeks, the real life Voodoo Walrus crew with be play testing the game. Once done and refined, it will also be available as a PDF.
We're going to be looking at a price tag of $10 for any one of them, $18 when you buy any to or them, and $24 if you buy all of them together!
So if you're a Voodoo Walrus fan, please hit the site proper at http://voodoowalrus.com/ and toss out a comment or two of "WOO! VW RPG AND COLLECTIONS I WANT I WANT! Or just comment about your love for the Walrus. Or fuck about with the other commenters on the site. They're special.... And... entertaining.

X-Men First Class
Posted 14 years agoSo late last night CreepKnight, Mirth* and myself had nothing to do. CreepKnight, in his infinite wisdom, suggested catching the midnight premiere of X-Men First Class. I was... weary. I had sat through each of the original three X-Men movies and grew progressively sick of each until the third did nothing but rape by brain and leaving they terribly taste of creative violation sloshing around in the back of my mouth**.
I hated the leather. I despised Halle Berry. I grew disgusted with the focus being on Wolverine and Wolverine alone and the short end of the stick given to the rest of the characters. There are no words to describe how much disdain I had for every single bit of overdramatic, cheesy, unnatural dialogue they crammed into those movies.
I love the X-Men. I have since CreepKnight introduced me to the old Fox cartoon back in the early 90's. But I also despise the X-Men. Because for every fantastic X-Men related thing, there's a horrible thing. For every 90's animated series, and Wolverine and the X-Men, there's an X-Men Evolution. For every Age of Apocalypse, there's a Secret Invasion or Civil War tie-in. For every Grant Morrison's run of New X-Men, there's a stint of Uncanny X-men by Chuck Austen***.
So you can understand my trepidation of going into a movie that, from my perspective anyway, seems to be a prequel to the shitty movies that progressively devolved into utter tripe.
But apparently, but every shitty run of Marvel film adaptions, there's also a nugget of pure, unrelenting joy. Because X-Men First Class was an X-Men movie done right. It took everything the trilogy did wrong, fixed it, and apologized for it by being AWESOME.
Its basically a reboot. And that's possibly the best part. Outside of a few elements, it might as well have absolutely nothing to do with the other movies. And that's fantastic! That's just the tip of iceberg of goodness too.
They story is solid and well told. its not a shitty comic book type story. There's actual plot to sink your teeth into. The actors in this were amazing. The actual range that they showed blew me away. I never would have expected to see multiple characters in a movie like this being able to showcase a range of of emotions and personality traits without it being melodramatic or forced. There were no moments akin to "You know what happens to a toad when its struck by lightning*****?
It was just fun. That's what it was. And it actually brought my opinion of Hollywood up quite a few notches after years of me despising the film industry and refusing to go to the theater on the basis of I refuse to pay for yet another piece of overproduced, script that executives wiped their asses with, 3-D added in post production to ruin the entire film, garbage******.
This is a movie that not only should be seen, but that people should pay to see. Especially those people that actually lament comic adaptations not being good enough. Hollywood should be rewarded when it actually does things that aren't godawful. They need to be shown evidence that audiences can appreciate a movie that love and talent and skill was put into. Not just 3 hours of Michael Bay jerking himself off to explosions and lingering shots on military equipment. That they WANT good movies.
That's enough out of me. I have drawing to do.
You are all loved.
*If you don't know who CreepKnight and Mirth are then you haven't bothered to look at any of the Voodoo Walrus stuff I've ever posted or visited VoodooWalrus.com and you really, really should. Seriously. VoodooWalrus.com folks. Its the best webcomic you're not reading.
**Now that I think about it, that may have simply been bile back there.
****Horrible, out of context, and incorrect duplicated Bible verses, in MY X-Men? Its more likely than you think!

The Grymmish Process
Posted 14 years ago"Grymm you're kinda weird. I don't get you. You don't join in on any drawing memes. You NEVER draw your fursona. You open commissions and then it might be weeks before we hear any progress. Entire spans of time go by where you're uploading nothing but Voodoo Walrus and Surrealis Grymmoire pieces. What's your deal?"
Its possible you've silently asked yourself something along these lines before in watching or dealing with me. Worry not friends, for I have an earnest answer for you.
I'm a Space Wizard. A dual wielding, wand slinging Space Wizard who is often called upon to travel into deep space to the battle Dr. Cthuloid's Slime Wolves. I leave my trusty assistant/butler/housebadger Professor Kaboodles here on Earth to upload old, long finished Voodoo Walrus pages as they go live on VoodooWalrus.com proper.
Then after weeks of blood and sweat and tears and slime wolf gore, I return and diligently work to finish the old commission while taking new ones to pay the bills and fund wand repair and badger chow.
Actually... No.. That's a terrible lie.
The truth is... art is hard. Mentally hard. And dependent on too many things.
To say that 2011 has been a a difficult year for me would be a massive understatement. I'm not going to go into details, I'm not here to give anyone a sob story or look for any "Its okay Grymm! Things will get better!". I'm just here to explain things objectively.
See, due to worry, stress, general melancholy, and my own brain being the occasional sack of shit, artwork took a shot to both kneecaps for a while. And nothing hurts art production more than that. The kind of brain malarkey that whispers terrible things to you like "This pose isn't dynamic enough." You have no idea what you're doing." "That doesn't look right." "Why do this now when you can work on this other thing that's so much easier?". The brain sludge and the whispers and the uncertainty join forces and the next thing you know, I've disappeared from being social for a while.
But here's the awesome thing. I'm back. The brain sludge has been cleared out. There's still the worries, but they're worries I have no control over so there's no point in letting them impact upon my work. The proof's in the pudding (even though I would never want to find any proof of anything in my pudding. Nor would I really want pudding. Well, maybe butterscotch pudding. Butterscotch pudding might be good... wait... back on topic...). I've uploaded at least 8 pieces in the past week and only two have been Voodoo Walrus pages. The rest have been commissions. I intend to continue this trend. A new commission going up at least every other day if not everyday. It depends on things like commissioners getting back to me and time taken for corrections and such.
Also, I'm going to start keeping a public listing of active commissions and the status of each so people can see if their stuff has been started yet or not and generally so they know they haven't fallen through the cracks.
I've also restarted work on one of my side projects again. ConQuest of the Aerolith-Mortis. My dystopic, snarky, post-apocalyptic, sci-fi/cyberpunk/steampunk/fantasy hybrid comic project. I'm currently retrofitting the script and improving it to make it more in line with what it should be. Ridiculous and all too willing to spit in the face of classic fantasy tropes. But that's going to be a project that's going to be simmering for a while. The script's getting revised, CreepKnight and I are going to go over and refine it and I'm going to work on the pages in between everything else and then we're going to launch the whole thing on its own site once we have a nice back log of pages done.
I have spent entirely too much time being down and second guessing my skills. Time to make up for it. Now I'm going to go and unpause this episode of MST3K "The Slime People" and listen to it while I conceptualize the rest of the commissions that are currently on the to do list.

Sale Price Commission Slots Open!
Posted 14 years agoDoing something a bit different this time! I'm offering up two different offers simultaneously to meet what people might want!
For those that are interested in simply getting a focus on characters without any detailed background imagery and want to keep the price a bit on the lower side of things, we've got three slots open for $35 each at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5823234
For those who would love to get their characters drawn but also would like fully realized setting for them, well we've got a sale priced offer regarding fully detailed background imagery too at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5820702 !
Still gonna be a bit before I can offer up sale price graphite sketches though, I still need to finish a few from the last batch!

So Apparently I'm an Overpriced, Talentless Hack.
Posted 14 years agoI tried to offer up one of my commission sales on another one of my gallery sites that I have almost never offered sales on before. Figured, hell, I shouldn't let just FA get ALL the fun. Offer up the Two character, full color, full background digital piece for $60 USD deal, right?
Had someone comment to tell me I was crazy, my style isn't worth it, I need more practice and they wouldn't pay more than $20 for what I'm offering.
I tired to be polite and counter with how these such commission take absolutely no less than 10 hours of time, not accounting for researching, warm-ups, and alterations. (Sometimes the color process alone can take 8 hours of siting at the computer straight.) Then when one of my awesome long time repeat commissioner called them on their ignorant bullshit, the person insulted them and told them they were stupid and ruining the furry community for paying people like me for "overpriced" art.
For maybe what was only the second time ever, I actually used a "block" function on one of my gallery sites.
You can insult me and call my craft, skills, and business practices into question. That's fine. I'll either shrug you off or mentally archive the comment as actual critique that I need to ponder over and better myself from.
But the minute you insult the people I have come to know, work with, and befriend over the nearly 10 years I'm been working in the online art community, that's when I can no longer laugh you off. That's when you fucking piss me off.
Opinions are one thing. Attacking people because you can have your way? Well that's just unseemly.
By the way, hi. I'm back. its been a looooong time since I had anything of interest to say here. Its been a very, bad year for me mentally. But I'm back. And I'm working to pump out the commissions even if it has been a bit since you've heard from me. I love you all. Commissioners and watchers alike. If I could I would hug you all and tell you you're wonderful. Barring that, I'm just gonna keep pumping out the commissions. Cause goddamn I feel like shit for taking as long as I have on some of these. Seriously, you have no fucking idea.
More soon. There's some stuff I want to journal about that I think will be of interest to you lovely folks here. But That's for another time. Grymm is back in a proper mind set again. let's fucking rock.

Please Read If You've Ever Commissioned me for a Sketch
Posted 14 years agoHi guys. I recently cleaned and rearranged my studio and was slightly disturbed at the sheer volume of art I have in my filing cabinet. This is good. Its proof that I've been working steadily for a while now, but its also bad because the HUGE cabinet is actually getting full.
A vast bulk of room is taken up by Voodoo Walrus pages and graphite/sketch commissions. So I figured there's only really solid solution, start getting the graphite pieces sent to good homes. Thus leading me to the point of this journal.
If you have EVER commissioned me for one of my graphite sketch commissions and you would like to actually have the hardcopy to hold in your hands, please note here on FA and let me know. Depending on your location I can mail it (or them since a lot of you wonderful people have commissioned me time and time again) off to you for either as low as $5 for shipping here in the US or $8 for outside the US.
Yeah, yeah I know, I know. "Fuck you Grymm for holding art ransom! You should mail it to us for free!" Believe me, if I had the funds to buy envelopes and cardboard and postage for all the art I have on hand and mail it to people I would. But I don't. So please, note me and let me know if you're interested in having your art sent to you.
Now, for the other side of things. To you people with no interest in having your hardcopy piece in your hands, or you just don't care, would you mind if I was to sell it off and share's its awesomeness with others who might appreciate it? Could you toss me a note with something akin "yeah sure, sell mine off! I don't mind!" It would mean more room and a few extra dollars in my coffers.
Now I know what some of you may be thinking. "Grymm, I want my art, but I'm broke. I need my five dollars to eat on the rest of the week. Could you please hold my art until I have the funds at some unknown time.?"
Yes. Absolutely. I completely understand where you're coming from. I don't want to come off as a assjack about this, its just my only thought as to how to best solve the problem of too much art. But again, you have to note me about it and let me know.
Most importantly, if you all have to let me know which pieces you want mailed to you/reserved for mailing at a later date. I work with a lot of people and sometimes I forget which piece is from which person after everything is said and done and a few months have past. So again, please get in touch with me and let me know your thoughts on all of this. I'd very much appreciate it!
I love you all.
(PS. For the record, now that I've actually thought of this, I'm going to start offering the option to have hardcopies sent out as soon as they're finished when people snag graphite slots in the future. I honestly can't believe I never considered any of this before.)

Original Art Auctions
Posted 14 years agoHey everyone! Last week I realized something rather troubling. I have entirely too much art in my art vault. Working steadily in the digital medium these past few years, and having a number of traditionally colored pieces that commissions didn't want the hardcopies of has left me with a massive load of inked linework and a number of full color piece.
So, I figured I'd start offering them up! This announcement's coming a wee bit late I'm afraid as the first round of auctions have been up a week and most are closing out today, but now that life is settling down, I finally remember to say something.
The first five auctions are currently up over on Furbuy. You can check them out at http://www.furbuy.com/cgi/listselle.....thebadgergrymm . There's still a couple pieces left, an ink piece and a full color piece that you might be able to snag for only $5 apiece.

General Update (Or... Grymm Got Royally Fucked)
Posted 14 years agoGreetings all. I've been silent for a long time. There's a good reason for that. The year so far as been crazy busy. Commissions, Voodoo Walrus, and recently dealing with catastrophes and prepping for an art show (speaking of which, if you live in the greater Richmond, Virginia area, come on out this Saturday to the Spiral art show at 8pm at the club Alley Katz. I'll be there with selections from the Surrealis Grymmoire on display.)
So, last month was a total crap shoot productivity wise. I'm not going to get into specifics but the short of it is, being a nice guy and trying to aid a family member in a venture that I had a terrible gut reaction against ended with said family member and I getting screwed out of money owed to us and no way to attempt to fight for it and me losing nearly an entire month's worth of time that would have gone to working on commissions.
That's currently being rectified as I'm not quite taking on new commissions yet and I'm attempting to plow my way through the previous workload. At least I was until a few days ago when my computer was nearing nuked by a particularly nasty piece of malware. Fortunately, I had a friend that's an IT pro and after two days of literally waging war with my machine, he managed to get me back up and running just yesterday.
So today, I start again cross referencing commission info notes and beating conceptuals images into shape.
(Its beautiful outside right now. The sun's behind fluffy white clouds and the sky is a gorgeous blue).
I will soon have the last run of graphite commission done though and the last run of full color commissions are starting up. So if you currently have a commission owed to you and you haven't heard from me? Don't worry. I'm working on the concept sketch. If you sent me a note wanting an update and haven't heard back from me? Send it again, because apparently there's been 2 or 3 notes I've been told that have been sent my way but I never saw. Same for email. If you've been expecting to hear from me and its been more than 5 days, poke me again.
As a last thought, I'm going to be putting together a couple new print bundles to help off set the fact that March financially raped my face. So in the next couple of days you'll probably see me upload a couple of themed print bundles. Probably one involving awesome busty sexy badgers pieces and maybe another one featuring some sexy, messy guy on guy love. Cause right now its just now fair to my current commissioners if I was to open the gates wide and say I'm opening sale commission slots again. (That said, if anyone wants to commission me at my normal rates and it understanding that it would be about a week before they'd see any work start up on it, I certainly wouldn't decline.)
OKAY. I think that covers everything. The TLDR version:
-No one has been forgotten, you will hear from me very soon commission wise.
-If you're an RVA native, some to Spiral at Alley Katz on Saturday, you can meet me see my art, see the art of others, meet CreepKnight, listen to CreepKnight and other rock out and see a myriad of other interesting art forms like fire spinning/dance, and girls that dancing suspended in the air by silk cloth.
-New themed print bundles will be dropping soon with a selection of 4-5 prints each.
I love you all. You're awesome and make it all worth it. Now I'm going to go get away from the computer and finish up a couple of these graphite commissions.

I'd LOVE to Get YOUR Feedback Concerning Art CD's
Posted 14 years agoHi everyone! I want to try offering up some archive art CD's of my work for sale but I'm not really sure of what the status quo for such a thing is so I thought some of you out there might know a thing or too. CreepKnight and I are also gearing up to offer the Voodoo Walrus archives up for sale in such a way too so I though this would help there as well.
So from what you've seen or know, is the art just kind of thrown willy nilly on CD's or broken up into nice seperate folders like "sketches", "full color pieces", "traditional", and "digital" style chunks.
Or maybe they're all hashed together as a PDF document?
Maybe a combination of both? Stand alone pieces as jpeg file, mulptile comic page projects linked together as PDFs?
Also, what's the usual price range? What would you consider a good price for a disc chock full of art, some of which you may have never seen from me before?
My next step is to start googling around for info, but I'd prefer to get the thoughts of those that would theoretically be the ones that would be buying such a product first.

Um. Hi.
Posted 14 years agoHi! I'm still alive! Busy. Very busy. As opposed to busty. Which I'm definitely the wrong gender for. But yes. Busy. And headachey. Stuff's comin'. Good stuff. Stuff besides Voodoo Walrus.
I need to get back to all these commissions now.
Bye!
I need to get back to all these commissions now.
Bye!
Huh? Wha? I'm alive! (Prints for Sale!)
Posted 15 years agoWorkin' m'kneecaps off in my studio. Unfortunately, you can't really tell. Its a lot of stuff outside the realm of just regular ol' creating an image and uploading the file. There's that going on too though. A HUGE GODDAMN PRINT PROJECT was recently wrapped up freeing up some of my time.
Its still not technically done... but its going to be next month before the customer is ready to start the other half.
On a related note, Voodoo Walrus is currently going through a remastering process. The first 70-ish B&W pages are being taken down and replaced with remastered and in some cases slightly rewritten versions. Feel free to take a gander and maybe get yourself hooked in the process.
http://voodoowalrus.com/
Also speaking of prints, I'd just like to toss out there that I'm currently well stocked for making prints if anyone's interested! Almost every thing in my gallery is available as a print.
For US customers they're $15 a piece. $20 for everyone else. Hold on. Lemme explain. That price different is due to shipping costs. So if you're ordering multiple prints, there will be a discount on those prices as it costs just as much to pack and ship 5 prints as 1 print.
Prints are 8.5" x 11", are pretty and glossy, and must meet my overwhelming obsessive compulsive quality control standards before I ship them out. They're wrapped in plastic, sandwiched between thick sturdy cardboard and then sent on their way.
Note me if you're interested. Paypal preferred, but a couple of other means of payment can also be arranged.
Now. I'm gonna go take a hot shower and get back to pumping conceptual images for sexy, smutty, glorious commissions.
You are all awesome and someone, somewhere loves you. No matter who you are.

State of the Grymm (Stuff an' Such)
Posted 15 years agoHiiiiiiiiii... (Imagine that being said much like the Joker says it to Harvey Dent in the Dark Knight)
So maybe you noticed... maybe you didn't... But outside of a lot of Halloween and Voodoo Walrus stuff... I've been kinda MIA for about the last month and a half. I have a good reason. The entirety of my October was overtaken with me working at a haunted hayride which was awesome but terribly for productivity artwise.
Then I spent a little over a week in an asocial, hateful, slightly depressed stupor of shattered sleep schedules and horrifying dreams that killed my creativity. I chalk those up to haunted hayride fallout.
Now I'm back in the saddle and furiously working on commissions, Voodoo Walrus, and a special commissioned project that's coming to an end soon. Its nothing interesting though. Its Voodoo Walrus related and involves nothing new art wise.
So yeah. I'm workin' the commish backlog and slowly getting back to people and getting progress scans sent to 'em. I'm aiming to have almost all of my current commission to do pile completed by the end of the month.
But for now, I need sleep.

Jibba-gabba hey jibba jibba
Posted 15 years agoNot dead. Close though. Skeletal and belligerent for half the month so far. Few more days of being such. Fueled by screams, cackling, pasta, sugar, and caffeine. Been dreaming weird things all month. Giant, horrifyingly obese old women of rancid smells. Ugly middle aged men. Too many people. Large overly happy men talking to their dream clones and plotting things.
I've been a friend, a fiend, a shepard, doctor, and an immaculate horror. I have dreamed of filling holes and tear the juicy face bits off my enemies with my teeth and laughing through the blood. Old creaking wood. Damp straw. The red glow of twilight behind the black of trees. Cane in one hand, technology stitched to the other. The cacophony of the masses ahead, the rumble of a tractor behind.
But I'll be free soon. And what glorious things I will show you.

LAST CHANCE FOR $15 HALLOWEEN COMMISSIONS
Posted 15 years agoSIX SLOTS WERE AVAILABLE. FOUR HAVE BEEN CLAIMED. ONLY TWO LEFT NOW!
So, who likes custom art? How about Halloween art? Right now, I'm offering a commission deal for Halloween inspired art. $15 5" x 5" pieces featuring either the commissioner themselves, or their original characters altered for Halloween. Perhaps vampire-ified. Or Frankenstein-anated. Or Zombified? Maybe even done up like a mad scientist. If you have an idea for how you'd like to be twisted, let me know! If you'd rather leave it to me, I'm cool with that too!
For $15 you'd be getting a 5" x 5" piece of fully inked, and digitally colored art. Once finished, the full size, high resolution file would be emailed to you for you to use in whatever way you'd like! And this would all happen BEFORE Halloween! So I people need to lay claim to these as soon as possible so I can get started! And if you'd like to be greedy and snag more than just one for yourself, go ahead!
So if you're interested, lay claim to a slot or slots by making a comment below or noting me!
I'll be honest folks, it'd really help me out if I got some takers on these. I'd love to do some Halloween themed art in this last week of October. Also, the sad fact is, I kinda need the extra cash too.
I'll be accepting Paypal payment for these seeing as how its quick and easy.

State of the Grymm
Posted 15 years agoSiiiiiiiiiick.
Not horribly sick. But sick enough. Mainly a lot of sinus shit. Currently self medicating and trying to take it easy seeing as how I need to be 100% again as soon as possible to get back on to commissions and be ready to start working as a narrator for the local haunted hayride later this week.
WHY DOES THE HUMAN HEAD PRODUCE SO MUCH GOO? WHHHHYYYYYYY?!

Because I'm a Comic Snob
Posted 15 years agoJust need to toss this out there.
I see an awful lot of comics on online galleries. Her and DA and some other sites. The thing that I keep seeing again and again though is people doing a semi-transparent fill on the word balloons. Does this aggravate anyone else besides me?
Its a two fold annoyance where I'm concerned. First off, its distracting to chunks of the art under the dialogue and sometimes people don't have the design sense enough to keep the text from melting into the coloring underneath.
Second, its pretty obvious that many do it only because they've seen someone else to do.
By all means, get experimental with word balloons and text, and font and bubble decoration and fills and strokes and so on. But don't just do one little thing different because you've seen some one else do it.
If you take from what others do, you're opening yourself up to picking up their handicaps too. Just because they do it, doesn't necessarily make it the only way or the right way.

The following was my response:
Yes, yes hello. I'm a 2' 4" Mexican/Welsh/Japanese/Pacific Islander medical dwarf with a mutant strain of tuberculosis MK. 3-02. I have an immaculately groomed neckbeard and I recently attained my goal weight of 400 lbs! I enjoy long walks along the beach, having my toe fungus scraped, and seeing how many small children can fit in a sack of gene-weevils. Tell me, are you currently involved or interested in being a dwarf's gimp slave? I could really use a new table. My old one died from starvation and bloodloss.

FOUR New Full Color Commission Slots are Open and on Sale!
Posted 15 years agoONE SLOT TAKEN, FOUR REMAIN!
Hey everyone! Its been a little while since I've offered up any full color commission slots sales so its about time! (Plus, to be perfectly honest, I could kinda use the funds.)
Anyway, here's the deal. Right now I'm opening FIVE COMMISSION SLOTS. FULL COLOR. NO BACKGROUND IMAGERY. ONLY $30.
Images like these for example: (Non of the following are work safe. At all)

Content wise, we're looking almost at a free for all. Clean, smutty, violent, funny, strange, surreal, I can do it all. Male, female, transgender, androgynous, I can do all that too. Any kind of furry species you want, I've either done, it or I'll see it as an interesting new challenge! Basically, if you think what you want, is something I might now do, ask me first. I'm almost always up for a new challenge.
Now if you are looking for a commission involving a lot more stuff than just two basic character, like you want props, and whips, and chains and background imagery and the like, that's not a deal killer, but it will cost extra based on what you want. Just talk to me about it and we'll see!
So! If you want to snag a commission slot, either stake a claim in the comments below, or send me a note saying you want one.
