It's only around six weeks till Christmas, and I need to get presents. Unfortunately, I have no money at the moment, so I really need to do some commissions to earn some. I mainly want to push my $10 commissions, because I can usually get those done within a fairly short amount of time.

There are two kinds.
1: Character sheet style commissions, which are the single most popular kind of commission I have. They're for people who want me to help design characters for them. I seem to be pretty good at designing "metal" versions of Sonic characters. These are in color, with shading, and a background design.

2: A regular, single character picture with flat colors, and either no, or a simple background.

I feel like drawing, but I don't have any ideas right now. For the moment, I'm only going to do one picture, but it won't be first come first serve. Just post an idea in this journal, and I'll pick one that I like. I might even do some others, if I really like them.

I'm not going to make a long list of what I will and won't do. I'll just say that I won't do loli/shota, scat, gore, or yaoi. I'm not really into that stuff, and the entire point is to draw something that I like.

Don't go into too much detail. Once I pick one, I'll pm the person for any additional details.

Do include a character reference. A character's design might be what gets my attention, after all. It can be an official character, or an original character. If it's not your character, I will ask the owner if it's ok to use it, first.

Some of you might have been wondering what the deal is with the avatar I've had for a bit. For those who don't know who it is, he isAction Master Thundercracker.

Basically I'll design a robot version of whichever character you specify, and make a reference sheet for it. Example

Ok, I'm gonna try this again. I'm in the mood to do some art trades. I'm gonna try about 3 or so at a time.

I've never done commissions before, so help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to charge too much, but I also want it to be worthwhile for me to do it. Here's what I've been thinking.

This is actually something I had started last year. It's a fan game based on my favorite comic book, Gold Digger. It's also my very first attempt at a full game. I got frustrated with a few things, and didn't touch it again until about a month ago. Hopefully I can keep it up, this time. Regardless, I will finish this thing eventually. I'll never quit messing with it completely.

The game itself is fairly simple. As Gina Diggers, you just gotta get deeper into the cave, grabbing treasure, and avoiding traps. The finished game will have a total of four areas, each divided into two sections. This demo has the entire first area. Roughly 25% of the overall map.

The current background music is only temporary. There are no sound effects at the moment, so I figured there should be some kind of noise. If you're wondering, it's the theme from Pitfall 2.

There are three save points so far. The Ginamobile at the very beginning, and one at the end of each section. If you enter a room and the music suddenly stops, that means you're in a save room. At the moment, all you have to do to save is touch the object. Save points have more than one purpose, though. They also refill your lives. If you lose all of your lives, it will automatically continue from your last save. So it's a good idea to save often.

Controls are simple.

Move: Arrow keys
Jump: Ctrl
Ctrl is also the "start" key at the title screen.

There's no pause, yet. I just haven't actually gotten around to doing it.

Tell me what you think. Inform me of any bugs you encounter. That sort of thing. I really need feedback on this thing.

Oh yes. One last bit of info. I suggest keeping your save file. You should still be able to use it with new versions of the game. It will keep you from having to start from the begining each time I update with more areas.

Know what's weird? I only have 39 watchers on DA, and I've been there since the beginning of 05. I joined here around the beginning of 06, but didn't actually post anything until about 6 months ago.
