I would've thought maybe a D10 at most, i have vague memories of playing with them while young, but really only remember maybe 5 or so answers, despite probably goofing around dozens of times with the thing.
I saw a short on YouTube about a D&D group's oracle being a magic 8 ball and none of the party members (in character) knowing what that even was. While browsing some of the comments, it was mentioned that the die inside one of those things was a D20, and I was like, "that can't be right...."
I had to look it up afterwards and here's what i found:

Now granted, that's for a standard 8-ball, so i'm sure there are some variations out there that have different types of dice and messages....

saw the movie finally, was a fun watch for the most part! some of the battles could've been longer/more interesting, feel like Kong got a better showing in that regards.I won't go into spoilers or anything, but i have to wonder if Shimo and Godzilla could produce offspring with one another....they seem fairly close species wise, though with Kaijus/Titans who knows how their reproductive habits work anyway :P

Thought it would be interesting for a Godzilla/Shimo hybrid, I'd be curious if such a creature would have completely different abilities from the parents, access to both of their abilities or just one of them.

I like the idea of gaining both of their abilities to be honest, and a mix of their looks.As for powers, dunno how a hybridization of Godzilla's atomic breath (or whatever it's now called) and Shimo's would work, perhaps the offspring would be able to encase things in crystal as well as blast things.

Ok, i said there wouldn't be spoilers, but don't read below even if i don't think it'd really spoil anything:

Even though she didn't show up for much of the movie, i really love that they brought back Mothra! She was pretty cool in this movie, i like that she was spitting out webbing, and i think she did a few power-blasts as well. shame she didn't use the stinger attack like she used on Rodan in the first movie. Ah well... I do like we got more of her overall though, a lot of nice shots from various angles and so on. I really like this design for her!

So over the last day or so, a random person messaged me over telegram, asking straight out if i wanted to be their "sugar baby". At first i wasn't sure if they were referring to RP or not, so i started asking questions, but i couldn't get any sort of real answer out of them. I refused and blocked after i gave them one more chance to give me some real reasons/information.

Came across the first episode earlier today, not sure if will be something i continue to watch or not, but i was seriously cracking up at the stuff going on. Might have to find a copy of the manga and look into that.

So i decided to work on a fairly ambitious project (for me anyway). I decided to 3d design and print a modular display for standard sized Hot Wheels/Matchbox/etc vehicles. The 3d design and printing seems to have gone well, and I've got a display mocked up that will hold 144 vehicles.

Now comes the hard part, figuring out how to wire up the LED's. I've never done anything like that before so i really need some help figuring out how to set the LED's up and so on. I've looked online and tried out a few calculators, but I'm not sure the ones I've tried are really for anything with this many LED's.

I bought two different types of LED's and a AC to DC power source (stats posted below). I'll only use one type of the LED's, i got two to experiment a bit with and see which type worked better. One's a micro LED with wire leads attached, the other is a small LED unit I'll have to solder wire to. The power source i got, had an adapter that had wire connectors on it, so i can just wire everything up easily once i figure out what route I'm going. I also have some resistors that came with the micro LED's, but may need to order different ones depending on what sort of setup i end up building.

the current setup for the display is 12 units by 12 units. Based on some of the calculators I've tried, one of the recommended setups is groups of 4 LED's in series with a 1OHM resistor, with those 36 units then wired in parallel. Hopefully I've used the terms there correctly :P
Again, i have very little experience with this type of wiring, so maybe the items I've already picked up aren't right for the project I'm trying to do, if they aren't, what alternatives should i look at?

So amusing to watch, for all those that love to play games to have fun :) young girl decides to just max out her defense and have fun in game, somehow manages to combine stuff in ways that break the game. Season 1's sadly ended with only 12 episodes, but thankfully they've hinted at a Season 2, though no release date as of yet. Hopefully a season 2 actually happens, i want to see what other chaos the MC and her friends get into :)

A bit darker then i expected, but still a very fun watch. Another young girl moves to a city where "beastmen" live, and finds a place there. Lots of mysteries slowly building up in the series. Sadly only 6 episodes available so far due to early release. "Official" release i think is next month. Also hoping this is going to be more then a 12 episode series, would love for it to be at least 24.

Not going to go into spoiler territory (i think, there might be vague hints, but that'll be it) just a bit of a breakdown, and where i see things going potentially

Sat down and binge-watched the whole mini-series and re-watched the teaser episode. Was rather interesting and enjoyable. Lots of questions raised, and only a few answered. The mini-series stands up pretty well on it's own, and i could see the series ending with just that. Though from what I've been seeing, there's supposed to be another season. There's a quick teaser for a second season during the end credits i believe of the last episode. now that doesn't mean that there'll actually be a second season, it does hint that something else will come down the line at some point. Could be another mini-series, or an actual season (or more).

Now, if they do go onto do a full season, they're either going to have to bring in a new main character, and re-tread what they did in the mini-series, or else they could bring back the original main character, and explore more of the history, lore, and mysteries of the Infinity Train. Stuff like who built it, where it comes from, how it chooses those who board it, etc.... They could also have sub-plots where new characters show up who are on their own journey of self-discovery, just like the original main character. Personally, i think they'll go with the second option, as there's so much more they can do with the series, rather then going back through the same story again.

Then again, maybe it'd be best to leave things where they stand, the series told a story, if a bit rushed, and ended. Unanswered questions? yes, but do they need to actually be answered? not particularly....

For more information, but generally, we got hit by a 7.2 early this morning, followed by a 5.8 aftershock. Lots of other aftershocks through the day, thankfully none quite as bad. Caused lots of damage, but i haven't heard of any serious injuries related to it. Some roads closed, and DOT is already working on repairing damages to roads and such. Power was out for a while, think about 5 hours average depending on area.

I'm safe and OK, though my office is a disaster zone itself. All my models, figures and books tumbled down. Going to have to sort through everything bit by bit. Am very thankful its just stuff that was damaged. Friends and family up here all are fine, just working through the cleanup.

Got a commission from  dragonfoxdemon with my elephantaur as a Paladin from a D&D campaign i'm in :) was suggested turn it into a YCH to help fill up the tavern, and i agreed. Anyway, if there's any interest, here's a link to it

Just got back from seeing the movie, quite a fun romp overall. Love some of the concepts they introduced! Looking forward to seeing how this turns out with the next Avengers movie!

So at the point in the film where they go into the Quantum Realm, on their return out, I'd swear i saw a domed city in the background. It's a blink and you'll miss it, but I'm wondering if anyone else saw that?

Man, can't believe how much work went into these things! All those amazing vehicles were fully functional for Mad Max, Fury Road!

So, i'm not a big Dr Who fan, but i do enjoy watching the show from time to time, and the specials are usually really fun to watch. I was browsing through youtube videos, and came across one from Day of the Doctor, where the War Doctor starts regeneration. Now I'd been under the assumption that the War Doctor as actually the first Doctor, and because of what he did, the others pretty much hid their memory of him. But the video mentioned that it went from the War Doctor to Eccleston's, The 10th Doctor.
Apparently, (and i just looked this up on google)
In his original conception of the show's anniversary special, Moffat had written the Ninth Doctor as having ended the Time War. However, he was "pretty certain" that Christopher Eccleston would decline to return to the role, which he did. As he also had reservations about making Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor the incarnation who had ended the war, he created a never-before-seen past incarnation of the Doctor, which allowed him "a freer hand" in writing the story, acknowledging that the success of doing this would be predicated on being able to cast an actor with a significant enough profile.
So, if this is the case, then the numbers from 9 onwards are off by one, though it's also stated that the character felt like he didn't deserve to call himself the doctor as he became a warrior in the Time War....
Doesn't this mean then that Capaldi's Doctor should technically be the last one? Wasn't it stated that they can only go through 13 regenerations? or is that wrong?

FC 2017 was lots of fun :) did a lot of suiting with the arctic kirin this year, managed to keep from bankrupting myself in the dealers den as well! :) Other then battling Con Crud (Is it still considered con crud if you're battling a cold even before the con?) but thankfully was able to repress most of the crud till after the con was over. Now just laying back and relaxing, recovering from everything and hopefully catching up on missed sleep.

Getting ready for flying down to FC next week. Looking forward to hitting the con again :) Will be sporting the Arctic Kirin suit again this year as well. Hopefully will get more pics and video while i'm at the con this year. Will probably spend more then i should at artists alley :P but ah well :)

I know i'm not the most active in the vorish community, and haven't really been for quite awhile, though i still drop in and enjoy it from time to time. Anyway, lately, to me anyway, it seems that there's been an increase in what's being called Perma-vore, where someone's character is permanently "killed" by being eaten by someone else's character. To be honest, I'm not sure how i feel about this. Practically speaking, that's exactly what would happen if vore was done in RL. The one eaten would be killed off, no reformation, no redo, dead, period.

I know there's always been those that enjoy watching RL vore, animals swallowing other animals and those that prefer everything remain fantasy. Which seems in a way to be translating into this whole Perma-vore vs Temp-vore thing going on lately. I've enjoyed RP's where I've "kept" others inside me for prolonged periods, either via absorption, standard digestion, or merely holding them in some part of my anatomy. They were enjoyable and i love the idea of having someone inside me like that. But that's just me. I don't want to say that what you enjoy is wrong, just because it's not something I enjoy.

That being said, for those that are going the Perma-vore route, i suspect a lot of them are using "throw-away" characters, either ones they probably purchased through an adoptable style auction or just created purely to be discarded at some point. The issue most seem to come across though is when an "established" character is used for Perma-vore, one that has developed "relationships" with other characters. I've heard where such characters disappear, and those that enjoyed their company have no way to contact them, profiles being completely deleted and so on.

Now, the whole, reality vs fantasy thing aside. Why would you choose to permanently discard a character you've spent a time developing and so on? that's what i don't understand. Especially if you've got a large group of friends that enjoy your company? You're basically cutting all ties with everyone who knew that character, and I'm guessing, hurting them in the process. Now, don't get me wrong, it's your character, you can do whatever you want with it. I'm not saying otherwise. It just seems to me, that if you do decide to rid yourself of a character that's been developed, perhaps some sort of talk with those you're "leaving" behind should be in order, or else some way for them to remain in contact, even if its with another character.

I guess i'm saying, as far as Perma-vore goes, if you're thinking of it, perhaps try and think of how you'd feel if someone you'd gotten to know decided to do it, and disappeared completely. Consider how your actions affect not just yourself, but those you've spent time with.

Sorry if this is a bit on the rambly side, i really shouldn't try to post journals when i'm sleepy :P I'd also like to note, that i'm not trying to single anyone out or anything. I've just been noticing more and more people for and against perma or temp voring characters, and figured i'd through out a couple cents worth on it.

Finally back from FC. Had a lot of fun, got to go suiting in my Kirin suit, both by myself and with some friends. Loved seeing all the other suits wandering around. Wish I'd had my camera with me more often :P Met up with a few people I knew from online and enjoyed meeting them in RL :) For a first con, I think FC was just right, it wasn't completely overwhelming and since we'd gotten there a day early, was able to slowly ease into the con rather then jumping right in.

Only issue I had (thankfully) is that my luggage didn't make the same transfer i did :( but thankfully it was rushed on the next plane and taken over to the hotel i was staying at about 4 hours after i got there. The trip back was completely uneventfull, if a bit long. No issues with luggage this time around.

Will try and post some of the sketches i got done at the con over the next week or so. Will definitely try and hit FC again next year. And might even try for another con later this year, just no idea which one yet. Gotta finish paying off the bills and such this trip accumulated :P but it was worth it!
