General | Posted 15 years agoIt's actually been a bit since I've had this one, but it's all thanks to listening to my music on my PC as I sleep.
Anyways, it was night time, taking place at an abandoned warehouse, still in good condition and was being used that night for a nice get together of sorts to party, have fun and all.
Well, at one point, we all had a bit of a karaoke contest where alot of us did actually perform some of the stuff that I was listening to. Had some girls singing songs with female vocals, males performing males of course, but soon, just as I was about to wake up, I went up for my turn.
The kicker here about this is the fact that the song I was singing to was a female vocal song called "Snow Light Shower" originally in Japanese, I was able to sing it, perfectly, in English.

I'll admit, with my vocal quality, I can get that high after some SERIOUS warming up to be safe, but even then, to be able to sing in PERFECT English of a song of another language (one I'm not too familiar with, yet), that's just REALLY weird for me. Ah well. Guess without knowing about it, I may unconsciously actually know the language. *shrugs*

....I had to post the link to one of my favorite anime themes with the fact that one of the best anime....no....just one of the best directors around has passed away suddenly.
Satoshi Kon, age 46 just died from cancer on Tues. He was definitely one of the best directors around who's done some awesome works, not just from an anime perspective, but from a film perspective. From the haunting/eerie feelings of "Perfect Blue", to the comedic/touching adventure of "Tokyo Godfathers", Kon has had a real good run for his contributions for film. While it does sound a bit stupid for some, it does bring about some strong feelings that now, as I've mentioned for my title, it's gotten a bit quiet in the anime/film community. Instead of going for the typical styles that most anime fans have grown to love and others loathe, Kon has gone in the way of REALLY focusing on the story, while at the same time, work on the art to truly make it all come to a head for it all. With such combinations, Kon had impresssed, not only those in the anime industry, but all around the world with the film industry.
He will definitely be missed, and I for one will definitely take some time to find his other pieces of works while I can.

First off, just a couple of days ago, by an off chance, I've watched a movie I haven't seen in YEARS. The last time I've seen it was on The Disney Channel before they became the way they are today. The movie I'm talking about....."The American Rabbit". It's definitely an old one and it's definitely for the young ones where at least it holds up for that range. But to at least see it after so long....I was happy! =^_^=
Now...the other thing I've got that I'm planning to do is that I've started to get myself set to head up to Anime Weekend Atlanta. First off, just a couple of days ago, by an off chance, I've watched a movie I haven't seen in YEARS. The last time I've seen it was on The Disney Channel before they became the way they are today. The movie I'm talking about....."The American Rabbit". It's definitely an old one and it's definitely for the young ones where at least it holds up for that range. But to at least see it after so long....I was happy! =^_^=
Now...the other thing I've got that I'm planning to do is that I've started to get myself set to head up to Anime Weekend Atlanta. *sighs* As much as alot of people have their qualms about what he's done for dubbing and editing anime, one has to remember, compared to what we know now, back then, it was REALLY a problem where for most shows to do what they now, it would not EVEN be shown at all back in the 80's.
I'll always have my fond memories of becoming the way I am today thanks to his influence for the industry, from being a kid watching what's now known as anime like "Grim's Fairy Tales" on Nickelodeon, to catching "true" anime for the first time on Sci-Fi (not Sy Fy >_<; )to buying videos and renting them at Blockbuster and Hollywood, it's with his part for bringing them to the US that alot of us got our start.

General | Posted 15 years agoYep. Not too much longer until it's my b-day. Kind of "meh" but at the same time, it'll feel not so bad. Just gonna use the time I can get real soon to hopefully be part of the next American Ninja Warrior and go on to hopefully Sasuke/Ninja Warrior 26.

For one part, I was in a field like on a level of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, where I had enemies coming at me. I had a reliable weapon of I believe an Aks-74u and was able to shoot one down no problem. However.....after shooting one down, 2 more came up with the one I shot down rising back up immediately, starting to shoot at me with glowing white eyes. I was able to shoot them all down, but soon they came back up....again. From there, I had run out of ammo and they were bearing down on me and I had no choice but to run away as fast as I could, dodging as much as possible.....and that's all I can remember.
In another dream, I was escaping what I guess was a supposed bad guy in an aqueduct type of area where I had to either jump so many stories high into the water or get killed point blank. Eventually, I did make the jump and was able to survive....even though I'm not a good swimmer, and swam to safety, out of the sight and range of the main bad guy. Reaching my temp goal, I hid behind some storage canisters to dry off and plan my next form of attack since I knew they'd try to come look for me. However, after a brief rest I actually meet up with Jaws from the Bond movies as he's the one sent after me. I did what I could to fight him, but didn't have as much luck as I'd hope.....and that was that one. ^^;
Finally, just recently, I was on some rescue mission, as if I was playing a FPS game of sorts, where I've received alot of damage in the beginning and thanks to a bit of a "bullet-time" moment, I was able to survive and started to make my assault with the help of Taokaka of Blazblue attacking the enemies head on.
.....once again....I really need to take it easy on whatever it is I'm watching or playing some before I do lose it. >_<;

One night, it dealt with me being, I think, some sort of Special-Ops trying to prevent a train from crashing in Japan. While trying to keep everything under control, for some reason, I have to make a jump from the moving train of about 50 MPH onto a smaller rail car to get to a junction point to keep the train moving just a bit longer to buy some more time. Well, I make the jump, not without REALLY feeling the thump of using my whole to assure I make it, and soon made it to the junction point. Making the switch, I do what I can to get back to the train, but soon realize that something's not right and had to jump out of a car thanks to something I've seen on G4's Attack of the Show. After jumping out of the car, not without a slight bit of pain, I soon run what appears to be a mall....in the 80's. ....yeah, like I said, it was surreal.
Just last night, after playing a round of Mario Party 8 with my friends, I was on a train, again, playing a little mystical game/adventure with Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist being an Antagonist by tormenting me and some "friends" as part of a little band, trying to do what we can to earn something (not exactly sure what it was exactly) so we can be back "home" and continue to play our music. Well, towards the end, we were all being chased by some "bad guys" with me lagging behind, doing what I can to earn one last piece before I am cursed/transformed into a frog and then trying to catch up with my friends. Getting on top of the train, I manage to meet up with my friends, ending my little spell and we all manage to defeat the bad guys. Soon, the game/adventure was over, we've won and soon start to play our music, with me being as friendly as I can, for some odd reason, I actually invite Envy to be part of our little group and we all enjoy ourselves to the music being played, with a song I was listening to while I was waking up that was beautiful and.....for some reason, imagined Envy actually singing.
...guess I need to take it easy on some stuff before it really comes true and haunts me. ;p

General | Posted 17 years agoThis one's for the Pokemon fans who are watching me, and might want to pass word along, but the voice actress who originally did Meowth for the show in the beginning, Madeleine Blaustein, just died recently at the age of 48. Nothing's been posted yet as to why she died, but to have someone who alot of us grew up with pass on suddenly is a bit of a solemn reminder that we can't take too many things for granted.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of Pokemon, I still enjoyed the show and had some fun with the game, so at least to honor her memory, I do plan on finding a Meowth plushie and will do my best to take care of the little critter.

This is something that I'm not sure has been posted from what I've seen, but as far as MEME's and everything else goes, I wanted to do something a little different.
Basically, I'm making a little direct challenge to everyone just for fun of making a pic sort of set in tone/mood to a piece of music.
If you're up to the challenge, or maybe need something to get over that artist block, feel free to give me a shout and I'll see about giving you that little challenge to maybe keep you on your toes to see how good you really are.
If you also know of someone who might want to take this challenge, pass the word along and we'll see how far this can go.
