Sup folks. I didn't intend to be one of those people who announces a commission opening and then drops off the face of the earth :v But work has been brutal for the last couple of months and I just have not had the will to get any writing done on pretty much anything at all. I have some hope for the future... But we'll see. For now all of my current thoughts are occupied by this year's impending Anthrocon, to which I will be going Thursday-Sunday! Like last year, I will be tagging along with  renzey and  ereau with the addition of  relkyon to our dragonsquad this time. Feel free to say Hi if you see me there! I'll try not to be too shy. x)

EDIT: Gosh I sound unenthusiastic don't I? I blame my mood this evening >_> I really did enjoy the first commission I took which is why I am open to the possibility of more! I guess I ended up focusing more on the caveats than the fun potential of HEYGUYS who wants me to write a story for them!? 8D But yeah. So by now those of you who read what I post will have noticed that I recently posted a story commission that I did for someone. More attentive observers may also notice that I have filled out the commission tab on my profile. This is not an illusion--I have indeed taken a commission from someone, completed it, and may take more in the future.

Understand, though. I have a full time job, and I don't get a ton of writing done, so I'm not going to be churning commissions out every week: I won't be doing many of them, and as much as I'd like to be prompt when being paid for something they may not be completed right away. What commissions I do complete will be done when work isn't taking up all my energy, and I will be very selective in choosing them based on my mood and my own personal interest in the concept presented to me.

That said, if you've ever wanted one, I suppose there's no harm in trying, unless you can't deal with me saying no. Who knows, maybe you'll get a slot sometime.

Sorry I've been quiet of late. Depression's been beating me over the head for a couple of months, and with it both my energy and confidence have gone into hiding somewhere far away. Even when I do feel like I have the energy to put some words down I keep getting that little voice saying not to bother, it's a dumb idea and it's been done before and it's not good and it won't get read, etc. etc. and thus very little has been getting done.

Ah well. It'll get better eventually.

In the meantime, here's a quick list of the stories that might someday break free from my brain. I hope. Just things to look forward to perhaps... In no particular order:

Did you know that How to Train Your Dragon came out more than 5 entire years ago? And that by this point most every furry has seen it, let alone heard of it (or seen the sequel, or the TV series, or bought the merchandise...)?

Did you also know that titling your submissions "How to [verb] your [species]" has been so consistently overdone that they have long ceased to be amusing or clever or even mildly original? (Also, why do so many people want to name their porn after a children's movie?)

Look, furries, I know the internet has trained you through memes to think that copying other people in this way makes you clever, but you're really not. You're just being uncreative and annoying. I'm not saying that every title has to be totally unique and original, but enough with the movie-title puns already. We get that a lot of people liked the movie because it was cute. That doesn't mean you need to title your porn art to mimic it. (Even if it has Toothless in it, but furries' love of sexualizing characters who never do anything remotely sexual is a subject for another time.)

Also I would like to propose that every time someone posts a pinup titled "Like What You See" or "See Something You Like" as many people as possible just comment "No." Because there's no way there's a submission title more ludicrously overdone than that one, and we have to break the habit somehow.

I've been having a lot of trouble with creativity and motivation recently. All these ideas keep stacking up in my head, but it seems like there's this fog over my mind that I just can't get through whenever I sit down to try to get some writing done. I can think about what I'd want to write when I'm resting, or at work, or etc... but when the time comes to put words on the page all my thoughts and energy go into that fog, and get lost, and nothing ever gets done.

It's frustrating, for me, and probably for you lot as well who want to see more of my work. Eh.

Anyone have good ideas for how to motivate a dragon?

Hey everyone! You may have noticed I haven't been getting quite as much art recently. Obviously such a situation is not ideal, so let's remedy that in the way that's cheapest and easiest for me:

A Draw Me Free Art contest!

That's right! Because why go looking for people who are open for commissions or spend my own money when I can just use my popufur status to just compel others to do things for me? Sounds great right? So lets get right to it. I need you, talented dragon artists of FA, to draw art of my characters, Hueroc or Ashar. Obviously you know the sort of things I want to see drawn of them; everyone knows me and everyone knows what I like, so get to work! Make sure to link your entries in the comments so I can know where to fap to them--I mean, find them and record your artwork in the entry list.

What's that? You're still not sure you should enter? Well just let me tell you about the amazing prizes in store for those who submit the best entries! I'll select 2 runners-up from among the entries, and make a journal announcing that they were almost good enough. A little exposure's good, right, and lots of people read a popufur's journals! So obviously that's a good prize. But if you win, well, it gets even better: I'll actually repost your art to my gallery! That way everyone can see how good your art is, because obviously everyone sees everything I post, and the exposure will get you so much attention and so many commissions, it'll be great! It's been a while since my last journal, hasn't it?

2014 was a decent year, even if I didn't get a ton of writing done. I got a lot of deliciously sexy art though, which inspired some shorter works, and while I'd like to get some more art as well hopefully I'll get some more stories done this year :3 I'd definitely like to do more, and now that the stress of the holiday season is past I hope to find the time to crank out a few!

I did a lot of chastity stuff this past year, and while chastity is super sexy, at the moment I'm feeling like some tight, squirmy teasing and orgasm denial. What d'you say? Want to read about some dragons and dragonesses moaning and struggling in lust as they're edged and denied release? <3

Well then. Anthrocon was a thing that happened. Still feeling pretty exhausted, but I definitely had an amazing time.  Azusis and  br0nz were great roommates, saw friends, actually managed to find the courage to commission art this time! I don't think I can manage to list everyone I saw and had fun with, but special thanks are due to  renzey and  micksam7 for allowing me to follow them around as much as they did.

Uh... all the stories I put up on FA are free? I've never been paid money to write. But if you're looking for something featuring your own character, you might want to look elsewhere. But if the right inspiration strikes I can be convinced...

Occasionally! But writing at the con is unlikely to happen.

Hanging out with other dragons, following them wherever they go! I don't have any specific locations in mind.

Bagels! And pizza! And junk food! And etc. Where, who knows?

I don't mind if I happen to be in a picture, but I generally don't hold still for them very long.

To have fun with my friends, possibly find a place to throw frisbee, and possibly to commission some new art for my hoard :3

Right off the bat, I assure you, there won't be any April Fool's jokes found within. No I'm not turning Hueroc female, or gay, or leaving FA forever, or asking for money because I'm not financially responsible, or 'causing drama,' or anything like that. Plus Hueroc takes threats to his existence--and his penis--and his butt--pretty seriously, and nobody likes it when the big red dragon is angry.

(Hold on, he's growling at me for even bringing up some of this stuff. Now where did I put his ball gag...?)

There, that's better. Anyway, it's been a while since I said anything here! My life continues to plod along, quiet and unchanging and uninteresting. I have been doing some writing, and I think some of it turned out extremely well, but it's not quiiiiite ready to post. Hopefully it will be soon! It's all about Hueroc getting tied up, of course, because it's just so much fun to watch him squirm, right?

(I guess I was asking for him to growl at me for that one, but it's a lot less worrisome when he's gagged. Plus dragons are so cute when they try to be all threatening and demanding despite being bound and powerless... <3 )

Offline, things are going okay. Still working hard at my job, still wishing my dragoness wasn't so far away, still need someone to throw a multitude of frisbees with. Been depressed the last week or so, but I think I'm starting to get better now. Hopefully feeling better will lead to Hueroc getting himself into some more trouble, because we all know how much he likes it.

(Oh you can stop trying to growl at me, you're not fooling anyone! If you really hated the bondage you'd fight a lot harder before the gear went on!)

So yesterday  Renzey dragged me to MAGFest.

(wooooOOOAAAAH!)

Anyway. >.> It was a kinda fun little thing, unsurprisingly similar to a furry convention, just with cosplayers instead of fursuits. Ran into a couple of furries Renzey knew, explored, played video games, etc. We also played Cards Against Humanity with some of his friends! Which brings me to the point of this little tale:

When we drew our initial hands, the very first white card I drew was "Struggle snuggles." The first one! Apparently the game knows me well. >.>

...now I need more struggle-snuggle art. *wigglewiggle*

When I write bondage, what do you like to read about most: a bound male? A bound female? Both male and female bound at once, somehow?

I can have a ton of fun with any of those options depending on my mood, I'm just wondering what my readers think about it. :3

Just a few bits of news from the world of the red dragon.

1) I have at last moved into the mystic new technology of the smartphone! It's nothing special really, just a means to use skype at work and drastically reduce my productivity by blathering at people.

2) My birthday is this coming Tuesday, the 24th!

3) On that Tuesday, my favorite band, Dream Theater, will be releasing a new album, Dream Theater. What a coincidence! Though it's already been made available to stream online, and it sounds pretty good. Really digging this track so far.

4)  nc100 has proven a most inspiring dragoness to talk to. :3 We've been conspiring more since we collaborated for Stored Away, and a fair bit of writing from me and drawing from her has resulted! The little story we've come up with has really sparked my creativity, and I'm hoping to have more of it ready to share with you all soon. :D

Someday I will write again.

I have ideas for stories to write. Clean ideas. Dirty ideas. Short simple ones, long, complex involved ones, some that are silly and fun and some that might be too serious for their own good... The concepts are there. The free time is (mostly) there, too, with my evenings and weekends generally wide open.

The energy is what's missing. I have no drive. I sit down at my computer and I don't want to do anything. I sit here, I annoy people on messengers, I browse the internet, I play the same video games over and over, but I'm just passing the time and not really doing anything at all. It's like there's simply no room in my head for creative thought. Heck even writing the journal is coming in stops and starts, staring at the screen for a minute or more between sentences. Something has just kind of broken my ability to string words together. String thoughts together.

Yeah, maybe a part of it is work. I was new to the particular field of engineering I work in when I started in March, and I've been trying my hardest to learn what's necessary to be able to do my job with as few mistakes and as little assistance as possible. That takes energy, that takes time, but that's just an excuse to be lazy, isn't it? Lots of people have full-time jobs and it doesn't stop them from pursuing hobbies or interests. I have things I want to do, things I'm interested in, and I just don't pursue them. Maybe I'm too passive. Too lazy. Too willing to let life just move along, let it carry me wherever it wants to rather than focusing on someplace I want life to go.

It could be depression, too. It's a mood I'm too familiar with, one that saps my drive to do anything at all, be it work or play or social interaction. With how tired I am all the time, the signs are there, but half of that is just never going to bed early enough and never sleeping through the night and never even catching up on sleep on the weekends. Whether depression makes me tired or tiredness makes me depressed is irrelevant; either way I can feel my mind being far too blank, too hazy, and unable to focus for more than a few moments before freezing up again. The rambling nature of this supports that, I'm sure. But it's another thing I've dealt with before and another thing I know I can work through, know I can solve. I'm just not.

I will write again someday. I have too many ideas not to, and every now and then, for just a moment or two, the drive to get those ideas out of my head and into words builds up inside me. It's been a long time since it's lasted long enough to put the desire to use, but I will again eventually.

I just don't know when.

Someday.

...Be interested in watching/hanging out to chat if I streamed video games from time to time? Seems like it could be a bit of fun. I'd have the chat open and be on microphone to talk/sing randomly, and gripe about missing headshots/every enemy ship having a missile launcher/random 0-damage armor penetrations.

Games streamed would include Team Fortress 2 (possibly including Highlander matches), Faster Than Light, World of Tanks, and World of Warplanes (closed beta!).

Sound like a good way to let me annoy you all? 8D
