Commissions Open!
Posted a year agoHello everyone!
I've decided to open commissions up again. I'll be accepting based on how much I like an idea and not based on slots or FCFS, and will be managing submissions via google forms. The form is live at this link: https://forms.gle/3Xme1Wvp8ng76tM36. Because I am not using a slot by slot basis, I will not be taking payment until I am ready to begin working on a piece, and when accepting a prompt will be sure to reach out and confirm interest before moving forward.
Pricing Information:
Sketch:
Single Character: $45
Two Characters: $75
- Addtl. characters are negotiable depending on complexity of the design and the scene
- Complex machinery which interacts with a character or is present in the foreground counts as a character
Add Background: +$30
Line:
Single character: $60
Two characters: $95
- Same stipulations as Sketch apply
Add Background: +$45
Full Color:
Single Character: $120
Two Characters: $180
- Same stipulations as Sketch apply
Add Background: +$90
This pricing information may be subject to change over time - I'm hoping to eventually be able to offer rendering in the future as well, but don't want to commit to those until I'm confident that I can provide a product my commissioners will be happy with within a reasonable time frame.
Thanks!

Sketch Comms Open Soon
Posted a year agoHello everyone!
I've decided to open my commissions on a longer term basis. I'll still be accepting based on how much I like an idea and not based on slots or FCFS, and will be managing submissions via google forms. I will edit this journal once the form goes live - pricing information is available below. Because I am not using a slot by slot basis, I will not be taking payment until I am ready to begin working on a piece, and when accepting a prompt will be sure to reach out and ask if you are still interested before moving forward.

Asphyxiation Sketch Commission Slots - 3 Opening
Posted a year agoHello everyone!
I'm looking to open 3 slots for asphyxiation sketch comms. These are going to be along the lines of the pictures below in terms of quality, though generally on the cleaner side:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/56869687/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57044615/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57130639/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/44491654/
I will be taking submissions over the next week via notes - please keep in mind these are specifically for asphyxiation, so no neck snaps or decapitation! I will be selecting which ones I take on based on which submissions excite me most, so don't hesitate to get detailed about it and provide refs. Pricing will be $30 for one character, $50 for two, +$15 for a sketch background. I will make another journal post when I have selected which submissions I want to do - payment will be due in advance, but not until I start work on your piece (I will reach out with details for a paypal invoice when I am ready to begin work).
Thanks!

300 Watchers!!!
Posted 4 years agoWow! I never expected to get this far, tbh, but the fact that all of you are out there keeping an eye on my stuff warms my heart. I'm not going to be doing a raffle as I did before, because I've proven how good I am at fulfilling those (which I'll be getting to this weekend, hopefully!) but I am planning a special event to commemorate the event which I think you will all enjoy. In other news, I think I've decided how I'm going to handle taking commissions once I open up again - per the advice of a few people, I'm going to open concept submissions for a set period at the end of which I will select the ideas which interest me the most. From that point, I will select potential clients to reach out for randomly from the list of ideas I like; if a given client is selected for one round of commissions, they will not be eligible for the next round, and that way I can keep things a little more fair. I understand that this is very much not an unbiased way of doing things, but I think it's the way that will be effective for me personally. With all that said, thank you all for engaging with my content and encouraging me to create; I appreciate each and every one of you.
Butcher: standalone text or only art?
Posted 4 years agoHi all!
So, Butcher has rapidly turned into an extensive writing project of the sort that after I post all the individual chapters, I'm going to go back for an editing pass and look into publication options. I've got 3 chapters written and am working on the 4th, and while I do plan to eventually commission or create at least one drawing for every chapter, I'm curious if you all think I should post what I write as I write it or if I should wait to post a chapter until it has an accompanying illustration. Im very excited about this story, so please let me know what yall think!

Thinking on Reopening
Posted 4 years agoHello all
It’s been some time since I closed commissions and I’m thinking about opening up again soon. I don’t have anything concrete yet, but I do want to get some things out of the way:
One, I won’t be doing the rolling slots format I was doing before. It wound up being completely contrary to the way my head works in terms of managing workloads, and was a contributor to overwhelming myself so quickly. My tentative thought is to take a number of slots, and only open slots again after all pieces from the previous batch are completed, which I suppose is more the norm.
Two, my prices will be increasing. The intent of 15 dollar sketches was to force myself to work quickly, but I discovered that I just don’t work well that way. Moving forward, expect sketches to be in the 20-25 dollar per character price range, with lined and colored pictures being available above that, if at all.
Third, I don’t know if I like the first come first serve style of assigning slots; I know that I’ve got friends around the world, at least, and the time I post a journal is going to affect who gets to see it first. I don’t have a replacement, but I do know that when I reopen, those who had a spot in my sketch queue will get right of first refusal on my slots in the order that they were in the queue, since that seems fair.
Thank you all for your support and patience, and let me know your thoughts on these updates!

Current State of Affairs
Posted 4 years agoSo, as I often find I do, it seems like I've bitten off more than I can chew.
First, I want to apologize for dropping off the face of the earth for a while; apparently, the pressure of opening a lengthy comm queue while also having raffle prizes to fulfill got to me, and I have a bad habit of responding to stress by disappearing. If you've given me money or I owe you a prize, rest assured you WILL get them.
Second, I want to address how I'm going to handle things going forward: until I fulfill all raffle prizes AND all paid commissions across both accounts, I will not be accepting new comms from the queue. The queue is subject to freeze or reworking going forward; I honestly don't know how I'm going to handle it going forward, and there is a chance that I stop taking commissions outside of a case by case basis altogether - as much as I want to take comms, I've run into the consistent problem of opening comms and then losing all motivation to draw. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of drawing again - if it winds up that you were excited to get something from me and I fail to follow through on it, I apologize in advance.
Thank you all for your understanding and your patience!

SKETCH COMMISSIONS - APRIL - CLOSED
Posted 4 years agoAlright, the demand for these went WAY harder than I thought it would, so I'm going to revise how I process these.
I'm going to have 2 slots for confirmed commissions at a time - what that means is that I'm only going to have up to 2 paid for and locked in commissions on my log at any given time, so that I can avoid long delays in the event of life happening for paying customers. If you want a sketch, please leave a comment on this journal - I'll assign you a queue number on a first come first serve basis. Once your number is reached in the queue, I'll contact you and, if you're still interested, we can work out payment details and I'll award you the available slot. Pricing is as follows:
BASE PRICE: 10 USD
ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS: 5 USD each
COMPLEX BINDINGS/OUTFITS/DESIGNS: +5 USD for character 1, +2.50 USD for each character beyond the first
SIMPLE BACKGROUND (A post, A ledge, simple props): 5 USD
COMPLEX BACKGROUND (Detailed gallows, a guillotine, numerous or detailed props): +10 USD
Thanks so much for all of your interest! Sorry for the confusion around the launch, there's way more demand than I thought there would be.
EDIT: Alright! Queue is closed, I'll be working through these throughout the month of May. There sure are a lot of you!

What's the Deal with Decapitation?
Posted 4 years agoGenuinely curious, as it seems super popular but I've personally never seen the appeal; i don't find it excessively disturbing or anything, just often slightly off putting. So, as a guy who expects to be drawing some in the near future... what do yall like about it?
