Back from Canada and Furnal Equinox !
General | Posted 11 years agoAfter a long and exhausting trip from Canada to France with a little stop in the Netherlands, I'm back home !
About the convention :
I really enjoyed it! It was rather big, but small enough to be able to meet people easily, and I didn't notice any "Elevator con" problems. ( You know, when you need to wait half an hour to go from the lobby to your room)
As always, I met some cool people and did some awesome parties (france & québec parties are the best!).
The only downside was the lack of DDR, but it's not a disaster.
As guest of honour, I don't know if I did my job very well, but it was the first time for me, I had to start somewhere. I usually have some troubles with speechmaking, especially in english... I hope I wasn't too terrible during the opening ceremonies and the others panels.
Anyway, many thanks to FE's staff for theirs work, and especially to
Scani and 
pakesh for helping me and being very nice with me during the whole convention :)
The trip in Canada was very fun as well, I had the opportunity to visit many different places (Toronto, Montréal, Québec city...) and to do some fun activities such as a dog sled ride ! http://piquette-et-co.fr/IMG_201503.....506668_HDR.jpg

Furnal Equinox 2015 and Québec trip

If you're attending FE 2015 in less than 3 weeks, you're probably aware that I'm one of the guests of honour !
First time I'm invited as GOH, I've no idea what to expect... we'll see !
Besides the official events (Like Opening ceremony, closing, etc), I'll do one panel about 3D fur Rendering, and I'll have a table in the Dealer's den, I'll probably have few animation DVD's and posters.
I won't have a lot of stuff to sell, because I'd like to profit of the convention too.
Also, I'll be in Canada before the con, from the 7th of march to the 16th. I'll stay one day in Toronto , the 7th of march then I'll go to Montréal from the 8 to the 12 to visit some friends.

I got over one hundred notes, so it was hard to choose, especially that I had only a dozen of slots,
but it's still nice to see that so many people are interested in my work.

Facerig commissions ?

So far, I won't offer any facerig custom characters because I didn't have the time to try it yet, and then I'll need to know if I can easily use custom models with it, how much work it needs, etc.
I will definitly look at it as soon as I have more free time, most likely in a couple of months. I'll let you know !

Unfortunately, it was my last big con in 2014, the next one will be Furnal Equinox in Toronto (Canada), in March 2015, but meanwhile I may attend to smaller events in Europe.

Back from 'Murrica !
General | Posted 11 years agoYep, I'm back, but I was supposed to be back 24 hours ago... what happened ?
I was in Orlando, FL, waiting for my flight to New York JFK Airport, and it was delayed of 5 hours... so I arrived too late in JFK to catch my Flight to Paris. I had to spend 21 hours in JFK and to purchase a new ticket in emergency for $800. (It should be partially refunded by my insurance, though)
Well, the return trip was terrible, but everything else was great! Only good thing about it, I was able to visit Iceland for the first time :p
Anthrocon was great, I saw some old friends and met new ones, but I probably won't attend next year, I'd like to try another one in US next time, maybe MFF or FC, we'll see.
Next convention : Eurofurence 20 in 1 month, I look forward to it :D
Florida was fun as well : Wow, much theme parks, such hot weather, so beaches, very mosquitoes, manycrocodiles Alligators.
Now it's time to go back to work, both my "Real" job and commissions, and Finally, I Will reply to all the notes, I got a lot of them while I was in US, and I found some 2 month old(or more) notes, I'll do the same for them. I'm really sorry for that, I'll take care of it as soon as I figure out my plane ticket issue...

General | Posted 11 years agoI'll be at Anthrocon 2014 in one month! I'm still not sure, but I'll probably sell few HQ animation DVD's in the Artist Alley. It will be a good opportunity to get it, since I had some issues with the online version (If you remember, Thank you Paypal!)
Otherwise, I'll spend a couple of weeks in US with aoi-kitsune and tifou , 3 days in New york before AC and 1 week in Florida after AC. I don't know many people there, but feel free to ask if you want to meet. :)

General | Posted 11 years agoI'll close my commissions for a while, at least for the next 3-4 months or more, this decision is mostly related to the issues I had with Paypal, but not only.
I shouldn't have any problems if I continue to get commissions payments though it, the issues I had recently were mostly due to the very large amount of payments I got in a very short time. After all, I've been using it for 8+ years and I had no problems until now. They told me that I could continue to use paypal normally in the future.
Now I’ll just finish the already-paid (partially or fully) commissions, and also I need some time to work on
furnalequinox stuff too. A short break can’t be a bad thing!

Otherwise, I'm trying some alternatives to Paypal :
- I opened a Skrill account : https://www.skrill.com/en/home/ It seems to have the same features as Paypal
- for costumers from EU : I can accept SEPA direct bank transfer if needed
Google wallet looked like a good alternative until I found out that it wasn't working oustide the USA, it will not even work for US costumers since I'm not in the US myself.
But now I must be careful, because Skrill doesn't allow transactions related to porn stuff neither, but it should be fine if I do not provide too much information and if I don't get too many transactions, and I could also have some issues with my bank if I get too many transfers from foreign customers.

I shouldn't have any problems if I continue to get commissions payments though it, the issues I had recently were mostly due to the very large amount of payments I got in a very short time. After all, I've been using it for 8+ years and I had no problems until now. They told me that I could continue to use paypal normally in the future.

The guy asked me if it was related to "Erotic stuff or pron", and I told him the truth, because the guy was aware that FA is mostly for porn.
Well, they didn't block my account or my money, but from now I can no longer use paypal to get commission payment, or anything else related to furaffinity. If you were interested by the HQ archive download, it's no longer possible until I find another way to get paid. Please do not send any more payment into my paypal account. Thanks !

Commissions prices : Switching from USD to EUR
General | Posted 11 years agoFYI, I will no longer accept payments in Dollars USD (or any other currency), but only in Euros EUR.
Nothing will change for the partially paid commissions in USD, the remaining amount will be paid in USD,as expected.
It will only impact the future commissions. (even if I already did an estimate in $)
The reason ? Too much variation between USD and EUR exchange rate, and I don't want to adjust my prices in USD every time that rate changes. At the moment, the rate is rather terrible, I get less money than expected every time I get a payment in USD.
I will recalculate the prices in Euros and edit my commission journal ASAP. You can expect a 15-20% increase if you convert USD to EUR with the current rate.

Furnal Equinox 2015 - Guest of honour !
General | Posted 12 years agoAccording to the shouts I got on my front page, some people (Who probably attended to FE2014) are already aware of this, but yeah, for the others : I'll be GOH at Furnal Equinox, the biggest Canadian Furry convention, next year ! It will be my first time as GOH.
The theme is "Furry Arcade" (video games), and the con will be from March 20 to 22, 2015.
I've never been to Canada before, so I'll probably spend few days there, before or after the con, and most likely in Québec / Montréal.
Otherwise I'll have to do some work for the convention during this year, so It may delay a little bit my commissions , but don't worry, nothing really significant.

- 16 GB of ram G SKill 1600 Mhz (I'll upgrade to 32 GB soon, though)
- 250 GB SSD and 2 TB standard hard drive
- Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2 Gb
- 550W Antec power supply
Wow, Much threads, many cores, so fast, such I7 4930K, Wow.
Concretely, I'll be able to render horsedicks & knots in higher quality and much faster ! ;D
Also, I still have to check and respond to all the private messages I got during the two last weeks, I should finally have some time for it this week end.
