How many others here like to do remodeling?
Posted 12 years agoI was just curious, I love it, tearing down the old, putting in new, it just feels so great, like currently I'm in my friends Condo, that she's buying, and plans to sell later this year, and I just....I want to go in the bathroom, throw out the tub sink and toilet, put in a smaller sink, bigger toilet, and instead of a tub, I want a big wall to wall shower with multijet in several places, with a stone tile to make it look like a waterfall, and replace the hot water heater with a flash "tankless" system, so it saves water, and money. I want to put a washer/dryer combo unit in the closet, the kind where they are both in the same machine, not one on top of the other, yes they make them, they are expensive. and I want to replace all the carpet in the whole place with soft amazingly comfortable carpet you can just lay on and enjoy. Is it odd that I enjoy the idea of remodeling so much?

Tuesday update everyone! ^_^
Posted 12 years agoOkay I want to update everyone from what's happened after my last journal to now! On Thursday/Friday I started getting all the paperwork together I need to get a Taxi license my driving record, criminal record, all that stuff, got my D3 license back which was needed, then went to the transportation office, paid the dues, and put in the paperwork. Got home called a podiatrist for my hoof, and set up an appointment for today. Weekend comes and goes start trying out EVE, is a pretty neat game from what I see, then yesterday I get a call from the Transportation office that I was approved and I could come get my license, so I go and do so, but didn't want to call a cab company yet because of the doctors appointment today. So I go there this morning, Doctor is very nice and pleasant, she tells me it's a infection, cleans it up and gives me a prescription, so I go pick that up, and call one of the cab companies here and town, the owner tells me to come see him today at 4pm, but when I left my friends place at 3 he calls me and tells me he can't make it, so we talk he asks me a few questions and he tells me to come by tomorrow at 1pm, which I will certainly be doing.
Just wanted you to all know what's going on and stuff, you all be safe and have fun, I'm going to mine some ore in my ship while listening to Daft Punk. <.<

Long progress update Pt.2
Posted 12 years agoOkay time for Part 2, lets see where did I leave off. I packed up the suburban, and was driving to Des Mones, when about 300 miles into the trip a large bird swoops down at my Suburban, and crashes into my grill guard, right over my headlight, luckily my guard has bars over the lights to protect them, and luckily enough it did just what it was suppose to do. The rest of the trip is pretty unexciting besides some nice cars, and one flipped over tow truck that jumped the road, and landed on its side going through a fence, but he was sitting next to a police officer so I assume he was okay, though I feel sorry for him, having been in his situation before. But I finally get to Des Moines around 2am in the morning, and pull up to my friends condo, which she's letting me stay at to help me back on my feet which I appreciate very much, she's a great friend, bring some stuff up, walk into the room I'll be staying in, and cut my toe on the baseboard of the bed, just my luck xD. Anyway I get that to stop bleeding, and head to bed.
It's been a couple days now, and I'm slowly making progress back to where I need to be, I've gotten my D3 back, which is chauffeur license, waiting on my Taxi license to be approved. Got my motor vehicle record, which is clean, and my criminal background record, also clean, for all the paperwork the same day as well. So now I just have to sit here and wait. Also had to buy a wireless usb thingy for my desktop so I could use the internet without having cords all through her place.
That's all for the current time being when I get more info I'll let you all know.

Long progress update Pt. 1
Posted 12 years agoOkay I haven't said much about it on here, but over the past month I was very busy with moving, both myself, and my parents/brother/sister, I helped them all move from central Texas, allll the way to Wyoming, which was a huge problem every step of the way, if one of them wasn't sick, it was the other one, if one of them wasn't tired, it was the other one, So we ended up taking a 17 hour drive, which could have been done comfortably in 2 days of driving, into 3 days, which I could still understand, if it wasn't for the fact that after we left the hotel on the first night, we had to stop 50 miles later, less then an hour down the road, at another hotel because my father and brother got sick! So I spent a bunch of time in a hotel during that trip.
Anyway, we get to Denver, CO and the turn comes up, and my father and brother take the wrong one, so me and my mother drive ahead and pull over on the side of the freeway to wait for them, my father, my brother, and myself have CB radios in our vehicles, so the whole time we're sitting there I'm listening to my brother and father give directions to each other about what to do next, until I see them, so I hit the gas to pull back on the road, and my transmission starts acting up! So we drive through all the crazyness of Denver, then finally later get to Wyoming, to the hotel we're staying at, and my brother tells me he didn't change the darn filter he was suppose to change before the trip.
This Suburban has 270,000 miles on it, you do not forget it's maintenance! On top of that my family moved to Wyoming so my brother could go to Wyotech, you'd think he'd be more responsible about a car. Anyway, stay in the hotel for a week, my hoof is hurting, have some weird swollen thing on the bottom to busy to do anything about it, we unload the truck and trailer into a storage facility, my father breaks 3 ribs while doing it, doctors say just be careful till they heal and give him medicine. They get their nice new big house and get everything moved into it, and I have to wait, with my suburban acting up, for 2 weeks waiting for him to replace the damn filter, which I had to buy a new one because he lost the old one! He finally drops it, and guess what? Fucking metal shavings in the pan, so I have him put the new one in, replace the oil, and put in some Lucas Stop-Slip, it aint gonna help much, but Lucas is very reliable. Anyway, get that done and fixed, transmission still acts up, but it doesn't slip as much anymore, it's still going to go out soon enough, and when it does I'm going to make him replace the darn thing,
But now that that was all fixed, I packed all my stuff up into my Suburban, and I set my sights on Des Moines, Iowa, my old home of 6 years, and 13 hours later, I got here, just a couple days ago in fact, For this post I'll leave it there and tomorrow (hopefully) I'll write out the rest of my progress!

It's Zebra's Birthday today
Posted 12 years agoHeya there everyone it's me again! It's my birthday today, turning 23 today! Don't have any big plans today, but that's okay, I have big things in mind over the next few months believe me! <3 I hope you're all doing well and have a great day for me! Not much to really say today, just plan on playing some video games and enjoy the nice weather at my parents place before I head home tomorrow. So anyway if there's anything you've been wanting to ask go ahead! Talk to you all soon! ^_^
Hey Bray everyone!
Posted 12 years agoHeya everyone, been a little while, how's everyone doing? ^_^ I've helped my parents move to their house now, helped them get all nice and set up, which is great, though my dad broke 3 ribs in the move, he'll be fine though. As for myself, good news, the Suburban is a sturdy ol thing, drove all the way from Texas to Wyoming without skipping a beat! Wasn't cheap of course, but hey it is reliable and that's what matters. I don't have a whole bunch to list right now about what's going on and I'm just enjoying the amazing weather here for a bit, but I hope to talk to you all soon! <3
A new old vehicle?
Posted 12 years agoOkay time for another update! I'm sure some of you remember my truck that I had posted here recently that I was going to spend some time to fix up. Well apparently that has changed now, and not by my own doing, my brother asked if he could use it to move to Wyoming, and said I could use his 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS Sportback, which sounded cool and all, said if I wanted I could take over the payments and he'd continue to pay for a whole year, and I could take up after that, which would give me a Lancer GTS for just $15,000. Sounded good so I went ahead and accepted, I mean at least I wouldn't have to worry about it for a long time, since it's less then 6 months old. So he came by a day or two later and asked for the title to the truck, and I handed it to him, since he's my brother and it needed to be put in his name so he could get plates and everything for it, told him he's free to trade it off for something that suits him better if he needs too since I don't owe anything on it, and I'd be getting a nice newish car anyway. This was all about a week and a half ago, I'm just late posting it all, so anyway he came home the next day with a 95 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 1/2 ton. I didn't mind much, he can do what he wants with it, then he told me he didn't want it, and that he wants his lancer back. Well fuck, not much I can say since the Lancer is in his name with a 20K bank loan on it, so I got stuck with this big ass SUV, I mean it's fucking big, for those that don't know, take a Chevy long bed pickup truck, take the cab and bed off, and build an SUV ontop of where those bolted on, and that's a Suburban. It has three rows of seats, front and rear air, with controls for the rear air in the back and up front, the 1/2 ton leaf springs have been replaced with 3/4 ton leaf springs, and a big ol towing hitch under the rear bumper. It's certainly not my truck, that is for sure, but at least it's not a total piece of crap, though it does need a bit of work, less then my truck did, but still. Most of the work has been fixed already, but it still needs a few things here and there, like tomorrow June 15, 2013 we need to drop the gas tank, and clean it out and replace the tank strainer, and we'll be dropping the transmission pan and replacing the transmission filter, oil, and gasket. But it's already had some work done as well, it has new ac components, new spark plugs and wires, we've installed a new brake master cylinder, fixed all the lighting, except the hazard lights, the 95' has an issue with the button that activates them that brakes, so we need to go buy a new hazard switch. I'll post a picture of it and link it to this journal. All in all at least it could be worse, it has a Chevy 5.7L in it which is way more reliable then the 90's "Magnum" 5.9L, and it has a lot more seats in it.
Sick Zebra
Posted 12 years agoSo I figured I'd update everyone with my current situation, last week I was in the hospital due to extreme terrible pain and nausea, it was terrible, at first when it happened I thought it was my GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) which I was diagnosed with a couple of years ago and have had to live with it for awhile, and it had given me similar pain in the past, just not to this level. It was terrible, luckily the nurses were really nice and most of them were good with needles, accept one who jammed it in my arm, that was terribly painful, but at least it took the pain away from the main issue for a moment.
So anyway a whole night of tests and scans and xrays and I wake up around 9am in the morning being told that I have gallstones, a couple of them, gave me a prescription for just 10 pills that are suppose to help to take every 4-6 hours while you aren't feeling well and told me to consult a personal doctor for possible options on removing them. Which sounds all fine and dandy but right now I'm in the middle of a home sell where I'll be moving afterwards so I don't have time for the recovery process. I wish they would have given me enough pills to last till the move and everything is over so I don't have to ration them.
So if everyone was wondering where I've been lately then that'd be the answer, been really sick lately, and gallstones and gerd don't like each other at all and have been fighting lately, thank you for taking the time to read through my journal everyone! <3

So I'll try to get more postings up here. Thanks a lot everyone! ^_^
Would you buy a car from a dealership ran by a furry?
Posted 12 years agoI'm just curious because I'm opening up a local family style dealership here in Texas with cars that me and my brother and father do all the work on ourselves to make them good reliable cars for people, and I was curious if it'd be worthwhile to get ad space on FA or something, like post what I have for sale and pictures and the like. I'd love some input, and of course delivery to your town despite state would be an option with a delivery fee that consists of Fuel/Hotel stay/Ticket for me to head back home and that's it, I don't agree with charging extra hidden fees after the purchase has already been made. Please let me know about what you all think, and link this add for others to see so I can get a lot of feedback to see if it's worth it.
Hey there everyone
Posted 12 years agoHeya guys and gals, just wanted to let you all know that I'm still around, and doing well, quit my job a lil bit back, due to the manager being a jerk, this zebra don't put up with that stuff, so I've just been catching up on my gaming and stuff lately, I'm online on my skype a lot, so if any of you reading this don't have my messenger address feel free to add me and chat me up, always looking for new friends bray! Have a good day everything, hope to see you all soon~
New things going on with this Zebra since my last post!
Posted 12 years agoOkay lets see, where do I start, it's been a little while again, I so need to update these more often, so I'll start from the beginning. I traded my truck awhile back for a little fuel efficient car, which has been working just fine, it's a lot smaller of course, but I'll post pics of them both sometime soon. My new place was reduced from $350 a month to $300 a month for no real reason, which was nice of the landlord, besides that my job's been going well, been able to start paying down some of my debt, though i certainly need some time off sometime soon to relax, haven't had a day off in almost two weeks now, but tomorrow is my day off so I'll have some time to relax! Started a savings jar recently, got a nice big jar so it'll take quite awhile to fill, but I'll use it as a vacation savings, besides my bank accounts savings account of course, get plenty of change all day so why not save it. I think that's all for right now, so thanks for reading this anyone who did, and I hope to talk to you all soon <3
The Zebra News
Posted 12 years agoOkay time for an update, I now have a job, working at a company I worked at before, but in a different state, now living back in the state I grew up in, Texas. And in just two short months of trying I've now been able to get myself a good car, and ontop of that I got a new house!<3 It's only a rental, but it's 3 bedroom and only $350 a month, I'll always love Iowa, I had a lot of good times, and met a lot of good friends there, but currently with how things went, unless I can become a truck driver again, I don't think I'll be able to move back right now, so I have to make the best here, which is okay, Texas is a lovely state for the most part, and all my friends are welcome to visit me here. So this is just a short update to let you all know who read this that the stripey horse is doing well, thanks for reading and I'll see you all again soon. <3

2013- A whole new year ahead!
Posted 12 years agoSo 2013 is close at hoof now, and I'm quite looking forward to it, a whole new near for trying things, learning new things, and getting commissions! I think it's past time that I take care of things, and get them moving in the direction I want them, so you'll start seeing more art on my page, more stories to go with them, and hopefully my friends list expending too. I've already got a few pictures in the works and there shall be lots and lots more of them as well, and I can say that I can't wait to have them done! Besides new commissions I also plan on tinkering around with more computers, assembling them, trying to sell them off, so I might put some of them up on my page for sell as well, you never know!
On top of all of that I have one big goal for this next year, and that is to set time aside each day, every day, except ones where I don't have the availability for working out, be it walks, machines, or anything like that, so I'll be posting journals about that as well, it's high time to do so and I'm looking forward to it, just turning on the music, and making myself feel better. So please wish me luck, I need all the support I can get!
Besides that I hope everyone has a happy new years eve and day, don't party to hard, try to remember the night, I'll be preparing for a flight so I'll probably miss the parties and fun, but that's okay as long as my friends and watches have fun! See you all soon and thanks for reading the journal!

First and probably last time on F-list chat.
Posted 13 years agoWell I recently opened a f-list account to add things about me, to make it easier for new people to talk to me and such, and for friends who ask me about it, I could link them there. Just a bit ago I decided to check out the f-list chat room they have embedded into the website for meeting and talking to people, thought it might be fun, though I think I was proven wrong. At first it seemed like another random chat room, with lots of random people just talking about anything and everything, but with a lot more sexual innuendo and such, so it seemed silly but okay, so I thought I'd try to talk some myself, and quite soon I had some person on there just tell me "Stop talking Haefen". I don't know if that's normal but I don't care enough to find out, I don't think I'm over reacting but people did seem pretty rude after that, so I think I wont be back there anytime soon. Sorry about the rant, just wanted to post and see if anyone agrees, or thinks I'm over reacting or something, I don't think I am, but you never know.

December in Holland.
Posted 13 years agoWell it's the Christmas season again, and this year I'm spending it in the Neightherlands this time with my wonderful mate,
Blancmark and I have to say it's a lot of fun, the nice family, the old traditions, and the concerts, all awesome. I mean on December 5th they had this holiday here called Sinterklass, it's really interesting, it's mainly a childrens holliday now but it's fun, anyone reading should look it up on Wiki. For the family, they're really nice, I mean even though I'm a guest here staying with my hoss his grandmother gives me cash for spending on sightseeing and then just earlier today when she was visiting she kissed me on the cheek, such a nice lady. With concerts, they really have there fun, went to see a band called IQ during there Christmas Bash, and it was awesome, the laughing, the jokes, when the singer told someone being overly loud to shut up, at the end before the encore started someone threw a huge ballon in and it bounced all over before it blew up during the song, and after that foam machines covered most of the front row. It was a heck of a fun time. That's all for now though, but check back later for anyone interested and I'll give an update.

Vacation in Holland!
Posted 13 years agoWell been here with my horse for awhile now, things have been going awesome, seen so many things, been so many places, I have to say the country is so much different then the USA, not in a bad way for sure, just a culture shock! The food is so different but so good, I mean they have these steamed meat buns, that are so awesome, and these deep fried meat stuffed things, delicious, though even things we have are different, like Chinese buffet! In Des Moines I can go to Bamboo for $9, but here it's 20 Euro!! but it's soooo good, I mean they have a lot more service here, this one place brings you each plate, and gives you a hot towel at the end of the meal to clean up. It's quite fun really, only thing so far I didn't like was their Dr. Pepper, they did a bad job with it, but it's okay, they have many good drinks here that we sadly don't have. But that's all for today, I'll update more later.
Meeting up with my Clydesdale Blancmark soon.
Posted 13 years agoJust a few more days and I'll be on a flight to The Netherlands to spend a whole 3 months there with my sexy horse
Blancmark We've been waiting for almost a year and now we get to spend so long together, get to introduce him to Thanksgiving too even though that's not something practiced outside of the USA he really want to experience it and I'm happy to oblige. Just wanted to post so anyone who reads my posts will know, and I wish all you a good day, and talk to my friends on here soon!
