its been a very busy last few months for me! I've been pretty good about updating my social media but not good about updating here, oops. It's finally here! September is coming and it's going to be a busy one for me... we got a new house and my little one's going to be arriving soon, I can't wait! HATCH DAY IS ALMOST HERE!

Finally got some internets up in this biotch! Yay!!! Over the next few days, I'm gonna get some stuff updated and get Etsy back up to speed. I even got new stuff to put in it!

Though I do now have a lil part time job to help with bills, I hope I can still focus a lot on arts! :D

So I figure I ought to update my FA... no, I'm not dead, just.. internetless! Aughghh!!

We got moved in to a cute lil cabin... and then my landlord sold me his 11 chickens and chicken coop. YAY BIRDS! They're pretty chill, too. I'm glad to have a bunch of birds again. I'm in the middle of winterizing their coop and omg it looks terrible. I call it "The Shanty Manor" lol. I've also color banded the birds and I'm giving them all Zelda-related names. :D Anyways, I have 5 Easter Eggers and 6 Production Reds... and I think I have a few roos in there, too, but they're still too young to tell. The EE's are SUPER friendly, one of the Reds is super duper pushy (she hates my boots??), and then the other Reds are kind of... dumb? They're still really relaxed around people, though, which is always nice.

My 2 cats and dog are doing well, my dog really likes "his" cabin and "his" yard. Usually he has a lot of separation anxiety, but for some reason, it's totally vanished since we moved here. It's really nice knowing I can leave him for a few hours and not have him chewing off the doorknob (or having him crated up). ;> But he's getting up there in age (almost 8) and his shoulder gets stiff from time to time... It's heartbreaking to see him all stiff and sore, he's still "my little puppy"... but I do have him on supplements which helps immensely!

Oh, and I set up a birdfeeder, too, mostly just these little chickadees come by and sometimes a few grey jays. The chickadees will sit there and eat and you can walk right up to them, they don't care. YAY FOR BIRDS! There's also a pair of ravens that live nearby, and they seem pretty relaxed about me--most ravens take one look at a human from a distance and take off--but these will sit and watch me from a tree/telephone pole that I'm standing under. I really dig ravens, lol. My dog doesn't like them... I wonder if he's jealous? ;>

But I have my art room set up and I've been working on a werewolf art doll (that I'm calling "The Bone Collector"). Almost done with her actually, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to upload pics of her. I wanna get back to doing commissions, but I don't want to start too much without being able to communicate with my commissioners. Hopefully this week or next week!

OH AND I see auroras almost every night! They are the coolest freaking thing I have ever seen, and the stars are SO bright where we are now, it's soooo aweesooomee!

We're going to be moving... yay. Good thing I'm still mostly packed! X3 But we're moving back to the city... ew... I really liked it here! (Ok, it's not even that big of a city, but still)

I'm still open for commissions, but I will not be able to sculpt for the next two weeks (Sept 14-28th) ... I will be able to take orders and sketch them out, but no sculpting. My Etsy shop will also be closed next week.

But I might work on my drawing skills a bit. Man, they are rusty!!! When I open up SAI to doodle, I sit there and scream at the computer until something happens. Usually stick figures. :P Sometimes, crying is involved lol. I used to draw so much, but I've hardly done anything in the last 4-ish years except for sculpt.

..which is fine, too. I used to say 'LOL NOPE can't sculpt, I only work in 2-D environments' but funny things happen when you grow up, I guess. I have an awesome idea for a drawing I want to do (it'll be on bristol board with my Prismacolor pencils) for my hubby for christmas and I want it to be freaking perfect... so I better get to practicing. :>

I also used to do everything to avoid sewing, and now I sew all the time and plan on sewing more. It's not that bad. :3c

I had a vial of glitter blow up on my art desk like a week ago, and I thought I got it all but OH MY GOSH there's still green glitter floating around. When will I learn!???!? Never. :P

I'm working on some sewing this week, along with a new logo for myself/Wildfeathers and some business cards. I keep changing the logo for my arts, I seriously hope this will be the last time, when will I be happy?!

Anyway, I watch a lot of plushie artists from all kinds of fandoms, and they make such fantastic things... so yesterday I tried to do a fox with my own pattern and honestly he didn't come out badly, but he has no face, hands or feet. Its kind of terrifying... but I was going to sculpt them. And then I'm making more trapper-style hats. They're so fun to do and so warm. :>

I'm hopefully going to get 13 tiny little goat-sprite peblets done this week... they will stand anywhere from 2.5" tall to 3.5" tall, and then one of them is prolly about 1.5" tall. That'll be the smallest little peblet I've ever made.

It's gonna be a fun week. :D I love makin' these little guys, the varieties are endless!

If you'd like to request a custom goat-sprite peblet, I'm open for commissions, too! Or any sort of peblet for that matter! I'm pretty versatile!

Oh and then I get to make more trapper hats (I haven't posted pictures of them here, but I have on my tumblr--they are prolly buried by now)... Jo-Ann's had an awesome sale and I couldn't help myself. X3

Oh man, its been raining like non-stop. Makes me wanna curl up with some coffee or tea and do nothing productive at all. Lol.

I have a lot of sculpting to do today... and shit just got real cuz I'm whippin' out the ol' Sculpey Firm and my pasta machine. My bro in law has a birthday coming up and he gave me an awesome idea for a sculpture yesterday... and it's going to be a bit more detailed than I've been sculpting lately, so I'm excited about that. :>

So I think I'll be opening for commissions soon--for my Peblet-sized art dolls. These aren't your typical fully-poseable art dolls... their heads and bodies are sculpted, while their tails, necks/heads and (if applicable) wings are poseable. Their bodies are sculpted around these smooth river rocks that are everywhere near my home. They are fairly heavy and only stand about 6" tall. The poseable areas have faux fur sewn and hot glued over them... anywho, you can see what I mean in my gallery!

I'll be posting more on that in a few days, as I have a few more Peblets in the works right now! :)
