Just a heads up, over the weekend I'm going to be moving to a new house, and will have very limited internet access and will likely spend most of my time with the actual moving process from Friday the 8th to Tuesday the 11th, but will resume work as soon as I return online. Hello, I'm sorry things have slowed down, I have been working at a temp job and only have limited time in the afternoons to work on commissions, but I will still continue working on them and getting what I can done, trying to at least get some progress each day.

Also, I'm not panicky about the virus, and keeping a cool head. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't anxious about it though, I wanted 2020 to be a year I improved several aspects of my life, I even was about to start a new job that would've gotten be out of the ouse, but they're in a hiring freeze right now. I was loosing weight and planning on meeting people, and now meeting people has been put on hold.

And, as I just realized, even being still relatively young and healthy I can still catch this thing and, I'm simply not guaranteed to wake up the next day am I, none of us are really. Don't worry, I'll stay strong and practice a lot of the good hygiene that I practice anyways before this virus was a thing. Especially the washing my hands part, I cook so I do that anyways! I want to get through this, I want to continue what I started and maybe one day live forever if I could, because I'm the kind of person that would probably occupy all that extra time with something to do. However, if the worst happened I can probably inform someone to let the site know but I am not sure I'll have the time to write what I am about to next... but:

If you happen to be reading this and I'm no longer here, I wanted to thank everybody, all of you for all your love, business and just simply being there for me. I have enjoyed reading your stories, listening to your music, and taking in all the creative art you have made. You were my friends when I didn't have friends. This is something I wanted to do for a while, and I wondered if anyone would be up for it. But as an alternative to commissions I want give an option where viwers can tip and fund art projects that I can work on live over streaming.
These will be just general art pieces, but you can donate whatever you want towards them, and if you get a larger donation and tell me I can make a personalized work for you in the future.

Platform will probably not be Pateron due to some recent drama making it a little rocky, but in addition to donations via Paypal or Square I'm also thinking of setting up on Fundly. This system isn't set in stone and may change in the future, but for right now this is the closest thing I found that works. If anyone knows any crowdfund platforms that doesn't mind furry artwork for mature audiences let me know of course.

Let me know if you're on board with this idea. Note that I will still work on personalized commissions, but I also wanted to offer an alternative that anyone can afford and that would allow me to start projects outside of the commissions.

UPDATE: I've learned this morning that we won't be leaving for the funeral tomorrow, due to the extra expense of traveling up, and the family up north is ok with it because there apparently isn't any planned get-together after it. This moves my departure date to Friday.

Well just to let you know I'll probabaly be gone starting Wednesday afternoon, I'm going on a holliday trip but before that I'm likely attending a funeral for a relative that passed away up north which I just learned about tonight.

The funeral is for someone my dad knew a lot more then me, both the funeral and the holiday trip will be out of state, and in two different states from one another. I'll be on the road, lots.

I'll try to get as much drawing done as I can but the most progress will come after the holliday season.

Just giving a heads up that starting Thursday I will very likely be staying somewhere up north to wait out hurricane Irma.

I will be packing my computer and electronics and backing up all important files so I will be able to continue working on commissions no matter what happens, hopefully that what is nothing major but I like to play things safe regardless. I think I might start opening up a business for stock images, mainly on my Rimpala account since it's laid dormant for such a long time and can use some activity.

The idea is to sell backgrounds mainly, much in the way adoptables are sold only... you're adopting scenery. You would them be able to incorporate the background assets into your art or allow me to do it for a little extra. I can also open for a background service if you wish. The main idea is to provide a service similar to stock photography and stock illustrations that are regularly used in the graphic arts industry.

The assets available might even include background characters and props, all the things that you might not care to draw but still would like to include in your art.

Warning: Opinions. Also I very unforunately had to block someone because they were name calling. I welcome discussion but I do not tollerate personal attacks. Taking an opinion you do not agree with personally is not an excuse for a personal attack.

I don't know, maybe it's because YouTube's recommended video feed is stuck on it now, and I've been in the habit of leaving it on in the background when I draw and work but I'm reminded lately that the SJW thing wasn't a fad like I was hoping it would be and instead getting more and more prominent.

All I have to say to it is I notice that all the drama is coming from people that obviously have access to a computer, internet, and smart phones, and often the equipment needed to broadcast to YouTube on a regular basis. A lot of it involves arguing about things that I would consider near the top of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. There's so much that we just take for granted here.

The one little aspect of myself that can maybe fit into that group of marginalized people is the gay part for example, plus it's a part of myself that I can hide from people I'd assume wouldn't approve of my sexual orientation. Lately I don't have much to complain about, because being gay in the United States is way more acceptable then it was just a few decades earlier, and certainly a century earlier. There is very little left to fight for except maybe helping people realize it's acceptable and in the end, really not a big deal because it harms nobody. Because of this I'm more focused on treating transgender with respect in the society I live in. I realize of course, that homosexuality is still very much oppressed in other parts of the world outside the United States, where violence and unfair laws against people that are gay are very much a reality.

That in general is just a perspective I try to keep. The reason I didn't drum up myself as a survivor of the latest hurricane, for example, is because there was really nothing to survive. I got a few twigs and Spanish moss thrown around my yard at most, I never even lost power. The real victims are the people living in places like Haiti, who've as far as I can tell got the worst of the storm. I didn't hear anything about Dominican Republic by the news, but yeah they got it too. Hispanola, Cuba and the Bahamas were all directly affected by a catagory 4 storm, which is bad. I know that's not everyone... the Caribbean got it way worse then Florida in general though. Compared to that Central Florida got real lucky. Not to mention of course, we here in Florida have easy access to chain stores where we can exhaust them of water, ice, lumber, and other supplies. You know, not everyone has that! Some out there have a hard time getting clean water on a good day! It's definitely something to think about.

So yeah I'm complaining about people complaining about not having real problems to complain about. That's an awful lot of complaining...

Had this idea on the way home from work.

The backstory is that I've been resistant to selling adoptables because I was never sold on the idea of buying the right to use a character's design myself, after all I don't really mind if people drew any of my characters in fan art and such, and allow posts of my work on fchan because I figure both are free advertising. However, at the same time I like the ides of coming up with a character or two and seeing what someone else would do with it.

Then I thought of "Ychoptables": what if I auctioned off not only a ych drawing, but also include in a character that same person can adopt as their own? That is, the character is fully drawn in a ych with a second pose reserved for your fursona, and if you win the auction you not only get yourself drawn in it, you get to claim that character as one of yours.

If you don't happen to have a character or don't want to use one for whatever reason, I can also substitute one of my own (which will stay under my ownership of course, but the adoptable is still yours).


How does this idea sound? Anyone interested in doing such an auction?
