New journal~
Posted 11 years agoSo, I really need to update this thing more often.
Just got most of my stuff unpacked from the London MCM Comicon Expo. Well, enough that my laptop is out and my suitcase is unzipped and laying on the floor.
My feet are still aching from three days of walking, on concrete floors, in shoes that are certainly not made for three days walking, on concrete floors :Y. However, I regret nothing! I had heaps of fun, met a whole bunch of nice people and got to waste a whole lot of money V:
It was also my first time going to the UK. Which was interesting.
Blah blah blah. Pizza is done, and so is this journal!

And back
Posted 12 years agoSo yeah, I'm a bit lazy. As always.
In any case, I am back from the US (have been, since Wednesday the 24th) and I am well.
I got back in time to normalize and attend my grandmother's birthday (Friday the 26th) and had a rather Calm weekend.
My grandmother had, as I was told upon my return, been hospitalized a few days after my departure, and had been in and out of institutions and the hospital a couple of times. She is getting better however, and is currently staying at a home for the elderly. We do not yet know where she will go from there. She will possibly be transferred to a home closer to... well... home, and I can visit her after work, as usual.
Because of my trip to the US, I missed my niece's birthday, I bought her a present in the US, and I hope she approves. (Hopefully my brother will too) An uncle's duty to his family is a grave one indeed (haha). I was explicitly told not to get her a stuffed animal, and so I got her a stuffed fungi instead :3. Namely super sized Penicillin (with eyes!). I was thinking about getting her a stuffed tentacle, but I'm not sure what kind of associations that might have given, or how that might develop, when she grows up...
On another sad note that I got upon arrival. One of my horses has to be put down, due to an injury in his leg that won't heal. He is a draft horse, and he wants to work, but because of his injury, he can't. Plus, he is in pain, so the best thing is to end it. We have tried anything, and whatever can be done will rend him useless anyway. It is not the best, but I'll pull through that too.
In any case, I will keep living in the moment, keeping the past with me, but not let it weigh me down.
I hope you all have a good time. :3

news from America
Posted 12 years agoI realize that I should probably update this thing more often; along with the rest of my page. We shall have to see what I do with it.
in any case. Anthrocon was fun. Got my first three commissions and met a lot of interesting people.
People called me dapper a lot.
Still two weeks left of my stay here in the US. I have no idea what to do, but I'll take it as it comes along. For now, however, I am staying with a friend in Virginia. If anyone would like to meet up, then I would be more than happy to schedule a meeting.
Right. Can't think of anything else to put here. Feel free to ask me any questions. :3

I have grown up?
Posted 13 years agoI don't know when it happened, but I've noticed that somewhere along the way the kids stopped calling me 'that boy' and started calling me 'that man'. It's really odd, I don't feel so old (mostly), but I guess these things tends to happen to people. Growing up I mean, of course. Then again, I never did quite look like everyone else my age, and walking around with a top hat and a stylized beard might have something to do with my being regarded as an adult. Really though, is 22 actually that old?
On a side note, my cat had to be put down, Thursday last week.
It was either that or having to remove her right eye, with no guarantee for survival. She had already had to pull three teeth, all because of a bacterial infection, that turned out to be antibiotics resistant.
The funny thing is, it hasn't seemed to have sunk in with me, the fact that she's gone. It just feels like she's outside, or elsewhere, whenever I'm about.
This leaves us with only one cat left.
Also, how ever did I manage to get 45 watchers?
Thought of the day: A sheet of paper doesn't weigh very much, but when you fill it with text or illustrations and pile it up with many others, it can make a pretty heavy book.

Posted 14 years agoGods, I am so tired of coughing. I've been coughing for almost a week now, and I'm not showing any signs of recovery. Luckily, my spine doesen't feel like a trainwreck anymore though c: so at least there is that. but anyways, I went to the hospital this morning, for a checkup, and I was diagnosed with bronchitis, as previously mentioned, I am extremely tired of coughing, imagine my joy at the discovery that I need to do just that, in order to get this [insert foul demeaning name for substance here] out of my lungs 8D.
Also, as this is usually not a bacterial infection, but rather a viral one, antibiotics are useless as well. Since, as we all already know, a virus isn't considered biotica, and can therefore not be countered with antibiotica. On the pluss side though. I don't seem to be able to infect anyone with it.
I'll also continue my school days with a next to minimum of absence. (allthough the doctor recomended rest)
I am not giving up my year at this folk high school for a lousy lung dicease. c:

Things happen o.o
Posted 14 years agoAlright so, my grandmother is coming home from the hospital today, after she fell into a road ditch on her way home from a grill party at our place.
[Story time]
It was night to Sunday. We had just finished up after a rather successful grilling session outside and my grandmother decided she wanted to go home. We (me and my father) followed her up the little trail from our back yard to our front door. Here she sat down on her convenient four wheeled scooter and started zooming away, until she adjousted the speed for walking pace. I ran alongside her and caught up with her, whilst my father was left walking behind. I then veered off the road to get my fjord horse in for the night (the other staying upcountry at the time). My grandmother got distracted by my racing the horse to the opening in the fence and didn't pay attention to the road, the result being the road turned and she didn't. She then drove right into the ditch at the side of the road.
Surprisingly though, she didn't have a scratch, the scooter simply stood put in the ditch, so me and my father got her up and she watched as we tried to do the same with the scooter. I thought it might be easier if I pulled the gas lever so the scooter would drive itself out. This however did not go well. Apparently it ran over my fathers foot, and he got dragged along as he clung to the handlebar, unfortunately also the gas lever. I yelled at my father to let go of the gas, and tried to pry his hand away from it, amidst the chaos I saw my grandmother disappearing down into the ditch and I instinctively let go of everything, at this point the scooter was under control, and I rushed over to her. My father and I hauled her up from the ditch and looked her over to assess the damage.
She had skinned her leg, which was bleeding pretty much due to her medicines, her chest hurt and her wrist hurt so much she couldn't use it, I insisted that it might just be broken (we later found out, from the hospital, that it was). She was especially annoyed by the practically useless wrist.
We got her back on the scooter and I followed her home, while my father got the horse in for the night. We then decided that I was going to stay the night, so we got her to bed and I went home and packed my computer (which I actually didn't use) and other importaint stuff.
While I stayed over I grabbed her old radio (50s I think) and searched the different wavelengths for something to listen to. I found a channel in Spain, one in Japan a few in Germany and Russia and one in South Korea.
The morning after we sent for an ambulance and got her to the hospital where she's been since then. She's doing well now. Tough old girl she is.

Posted 14 years agoWell.. first of all, I'd like to say, Happy birthday mother Norway! and happy constitution day to all whom that might befall :V
I had a wonderful day today, got a water gun blast to the face [insert headshot here] right above the collar of the raincoat I slipped into to avoid just that! :V
In any case, I just noticed the fact that my page view counter has steadily ticked up to a thousand. How that happened is beyond me. I shall have to employ science, and take the appropriate steps to ensure everything follows the correct procedure :V. That science most likely being a pencil and some random spill from my rather warped mind. Not to mention the bother with uploading it :U it shall be done... sometime...
Eh.. Also, my exams are coming up. I got biology this time. This means, it'll either be a huge success, or a spectacular failure. Either way, after this I'm done, and can continue with my education and follow my goals, liker a train on a rail.
Word of today: There is no trickster is greater than ones own mind.

So tired, examination day :u
Posted 14 years agoso I'm writing this in the tiny space of time between getting to my office and internet limitations clamp down on my ability to surf. Today (12/04/11) is the day for my preliminary examination, IE not THE exam, but none the less important. Amazingly the school permits me surfing FA, what with all the non-PG content. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR USING BLACKLISTS XD. In any case, running slowly out of time, I just felt I had to write something, my assistant has decided that monitoring my every move is the best thing ever, while it's actually making me tense up, I don't like people looking at my screen :|.
I'd also like to share the music on my ear atm c: as I just couldn't get it out of my head anyway:

Of Dead and Buried
Posted 15 years agoYesterday would've been my grandfathers birthday, so I bullied my grandmother to come with me to the cemetery (she wasn't sure whether to go or not, since it was getting dark). When I walked into the cemetery I suddenly found myself in s cheery mood. I don't know what came over me, but that's what happened. It wasn't for lack of respect for the dead (however much I suspect a dead person would care about respect). Rather, it felt more appropriate this way. The way I see it, at least the way I would've wanted it if I were dead (to the extent that I'd want anything at all under the circumstances) were for people to be happy. Not happy as in happy I'm finally gone, but happy in general, about their own lives. I wouldn't want people to cry about what might have been, rather, I'd want them to be happy for what they had. In the case of my grandfather, I did my crying when we buried him, now I'm just happy he finally got some rest. Personally I think cemeteries gets too much negative energy. I'd think the dead would like some positive energy, that people would laugh, or at least smile happily once in a while.

Posted 15 years agothree questions, one answer:
1. Yes, it's true, microsoft has cleared the rights for MW4 mercenaries. So it's now free for the taking.
2. Yes, it's true, it has been since around May, but I didn't find out 'till just recently.
3. Yes, it's true, I am a battletech nerd, and probably will be for as long as I stay sane enough to know what it is.

News?..... Maybe
Posted 15 years agoExams are over now. I'm still waiting for the results of the literal one. I got my other grades though, I'm fairly satisfied and I'll keep it at that.
My internet deserves the rating of.... crap! for the past few weeks, and it's not showing signs of clearing up any time soon, but then, who knows? msn has decided to be a bitch on me (returning about half of my messages and so on) but that's life, gotta live with it.
I've had my first few driving lessons, so I'm looking forward to be driving my grannie soon. (it's only fitting. After all, she paid for them.) anyways, I'm still alive. Although my connection is fairly limited.
I'm also getting a new phone, on which I hope to be able to stay in touch with the people I care about, but haven't got the chance to meet up with.
In addition to all this, I'm thinking of uploading more of my work, maybe even get some critique.
love you all

Russ-name and lap dance XD
Posted 16 years ago-note to all of you who's got no idea what a Russ is-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russ
here's the explanation. c:
Yush, I now have a Russ-name, I was "christened" on saturday. but not with the name which I wrote on all my cards Dx (which was Newton (I was so proud of actually managing to make it fit on my card <:C)) so now I have to change that. So, my russ name is now apparently Mr. Awesome xD. It would seem that someone likes me. I even got a lap dance by two girls and the Russ-Minister himself (XD). Also, my class was last in line, so by the time I was given my name, the Russ Minister was so drunk he almost forgot the rest of my class, and he proceded to just skim through the rest. I'm still convinced he missed some of them.
So yeah, there were a lot of heavy drinking at the party. All of the participants had to bring their own drinks. I myself got a half-filled bottle o' red wine. After the party I came home with:
1. For all it's worth. My empty bottle of red wine. (still whole XD)
2. A godly lot of consumed alcohool.
3. A studded leather bottle cooler for an Absolute Vodka bottle o.O XD (the bottle which I have no idea where were (I never even saw it in the first place))
Also I when I went home, I was still walking straight. I had no trouble keeping the alcohool inside ( unlike a few other unfortunates). and I was thinking... err.. well... lets not dwelve too long on what I was actually thinking XD (not very structured. Still, reason still hadn't left me entirely, if though mostly).
The only things I'm actually the tiniest bit proud of is that I didn't fight. (I never do when I'm drunk, but still).
I'm not too proud of it. I have no need of being. It was fun when it happened, and it's still fun to remember (yeah, I remember just about everything of the proceedings X3).

so anyway, I'm back and operative, for now. I am also considering my uploading some of my work here, if I get the spirit.

Posted 18 years agoI've been a litle late today, and I don't have a reason, but the book is in whriting. apropos book I delivered a book to the libary, and its in a series, so I went to get the next, but I forgot the name when I started seaching for it so I looked in one of the previus, but I looked on the wrong title so when I finaly gave up and went to one of the librarians to get help we seached high and low, so she went down to the reception to look there and came up with the book I had looked for, whitch prowed to be the one I had just turned in, and so I realised that I had looked in the one I was looking for, to find the one I thought was the right. *phew* 8 This is naturaly going to afect my thought of the day.
but I found the book.
'Thought of the day: do not always belive what you see, for what you see is not always you think'

Posted 18 years agoI almost forgot to whrite today, I've been sitting in some realy deep thoughts.
for those who havent guessed it I'm trying to make people think for themselves, this I am doing by giving them a pice of whriting Like theese "thoughts of the day" things, it is my mind that creates them with the purpose to make you think.
By the way I've begun whriting my book.
'Thoght of the day: the question is not what the meaning of life is, the meaning of life is primarly to feed, and grow, and mate. neither is it how we got here. the question, is how life came to be in the first place'
