Ok may be getting a little over excited with making and designing new leather fun things. So far on the agenda we have

1. Zombie Armour, bracer design done and pattern made/ matching shoulder piece in the works.

2. New shoulder armour, pauldrons in a new style and affordable. drawing design now.

3. MORE BRACERS!!!

4. Buying new material and supplies as I have almost run out of rivets :(

5. Start costumes. Both of them. One being entirely leather the other featuring a lot of it.

Well that lot should keep me distracted for a while.

As it has been over 4 months since I have even properly been on any of my art sites a few things have changed.

1. I have almost completed my Cert II in Conservation and Land Management.

2. I have gotten further into leather working, as those at MiDFur and any other cons I attend have seen.

3. I have recently decided to shift the focus of my art to Portraits, Pin ups and Leather work. I hope to get a lot of practice in over the next few months. Perhaps in time in for some con or another.

4. I have a kickass quiff.

MiDFur!!!!

It was my second year trying to trade at the con and unlike last year where I went in entirely unprepared with only a handful of prints this year I went in totally unprepared and expecting my leather wares not to sell. I will just say that I was wrong. The masks were a hit and the rest of the gear sold in short order requiring me to return home and resupply.

Dealers stuff aside I enjoyed the con overall, the few events and things I managed to get to were pretty good and it was all about the catching up, meeting people and generally awesome hanging out times. Those were awesome times especially the sketching sessions and AMV Hell watching at Chaircon.

Leather Work

I am also announcing that I am open for custom leather commissions with a general price guide to go up shortly.

Custom bracers will start at $30-$40.

Dear watchers and stalkers,

I thought I would impart upon you a small update on the goings on with me in the past little while since my last.

To begin. Agonizing pain isn't as fun as it sounds.

I'm note sure what I did to my left knee, which has always been fracked, but it has decided it just doesn't want to work properly anymore. This is causing me a fair amount of pain most of the time, an even worse limp then usual to the point that my knee will just collaspe and I end up about 6 inches closer to the ground then I should be. So thats been fun for the past few weeks.

My lil 3 year old groodle Dante is basicaly fucked hard. After taking him to the vet and getting x-rays taken it turns out that his hips are displaced. One side is as bad as it can possibly get and the other is at roughly the halfway mark, so the options are lots of surgery and then keeping him sedated 24 all day every day for 3 months, or to keep him on various treatments to try and reduce it a bit and keep tte painnas low as possible.

I'm in the process of quiting my job / being fired. which is about time. According to my mum I haven't looked so happy in a while so thats saying something xD

MiDFur is way to fucking close nowand I have way to much to do, two costumes to finish/ start and lots of artings and stuff.

Ok so Manifest was what a week ago now, seems about time to say how it went.

It was good.

Yep I think that covers it.
People seemed to responed well to my steampunkery which resulted in many many many photos of me, which is always a good thing. Being swamped by all the school kids there on the Friday was interesting, and all the everyone else on Saturday. I think it was the moustache, my sweet curly moustache waxed to curled perfection.

I spent a remarkable ammount of money on very few things in retrospect BUT I did go and have a photoshoot with the guys from Neil Creek Photography which was brief and fun and Ishould be getting the photos back soon.

Main highlight of going was the people, those awesome people who I had a chance to talk to and catch up with such as but not limited to. long list not listed.

And all te random conversations I got into with people were a plus, met some new steampunks and one I already knew, yay for having fun talking to peoples enjoying the line ride xD

My main regret though was not going on the Sunday due to an onset of generally feeling very eh about everything, but oh well stil had pleanty of fun.

I'm currently all kinds of fluuy which is no fun at all, especially with blaaaghh weather and working screwy shifts that are stupid and busy ggrgrrrrrr silly people who don't tell us they want an order for 16 subs until they get to the store... at lunch time and then another order for 8 about 2 minutes after the big one is done so yes grrr.

Considering maybe trying to be a trader maybe. If I can get someone who wants to be on a table I might have to actually consider maybe remotely possibly doing it. Of course that would cut into my killing time hanging around not doing anything time. Not to mention the fact that I would have only 3 months to get gear ready and figure out what to sell. Ok wow haven't felt the need to throw up a new journal in well a while, or post much new stuff or etc. etc.

Anyways whats been happening with me!

Well, I've gone across to South Australia to see some of my awesome friends, you know who you are, if your reading this that is ;) ummm I'm still working at subway changed stores which is good, nothing says fun like making 100 subs in an hour.

I've finished off my first steampunk costume which has only been what 2 - 3 years in the making.
Lots of little side projects as well which are always fun and almost never completed.

Oh I got fined for being on a tram without a ticket there goes a good $167, not like I was planning to go back to Adelaide in oh 2 weeks.

MANIFEST!!!! I has paid for ma tickety goodness for the whole weekend so presuming I get the weekend off all is super awesome fantastico.


I'll hopefully be heading off to AVCon in a couple of weeks which should be all kinds of YAY!
