I was actually a bit surprised with how well it was done, sure they had to make some minor adjustments and leave a few bits and pieces out but still it was great!

Making armour + to do list.
General | Posted 17 years agoI have recently been looking into making myself a few bits of steampunk costume leather armour, mostly a small chest piece, a shoulder pauldron and maybe some gauntlets. This will be something completely different and will hopefully go ok enough to actually wear it with my outfit :) I'll start planning it soon and also saving up for the leather tools, bits and pieces like brass rivets but the actual tanned leather which is where the majority of the cost will be. Nothing beats trying to make something yourself and potentially waste a couple hundred dollars in the process.
Hell if it goes ok and I really get into it I might even try to sell something but I doubt it will come to that.

I went to Adelaide for a "couple" of days which turned into a week, for an awesome birthday and also new years. It was like midfur all over again! sorta but with me drinking and sleeping on floors more :)
It was good and that :)
My calendar count is up to 10 so all we have to do now is get the wall mounty doodads to put them up on my epic calendar wall of epictitude :) Also the computer is now temporarily located in the pretty much the way of the front door. Which is an annoyence for most, but handy for me as it is literally a step from my bedroom door :).

My MiDFur Journal thingy.
General | Posted 17 years agoOr what I sorta remember about MiDFur, and why they shouldn't have opened the bar so early.
MIDFUR WAS THE MOST AWESOMENESS TIME WIN FUN HAPPY TIME OF WIN!!!!!
So in other words it was pretty good :)
I got to meet a whole bunch of awesome people, whose names and faces I have pretty much forgotten at this point.
Unless I liked you that is you know who you are :)
Everyone I met.
The concertration of such awesome people in one spot must have done something to the earths axis.
I don't think it could have run much smoother and the whole committee deserves our thanks for making it happen.
Journally bit.
I in my super generous nature volunteered to help set up on the first day.
Hmmmm after that it starts to get a bit blurry....
Things picked up after that. I helped to mind Amber's stall which was fun :) and accidently got two commissions which still has managed to confuse a few of us.
Meet and greet happend later that night, I was a tad cautious and shy to begin with and ended up listening to 2 and Uncle Kage for a while with a small group.
2nd Day.
I bought a suit jacket and a leather jacket for $20!! at a sale.
The Gala Ball was brilliant! mostly due to the rave and glowy fun things EVERYWHERE! definately a highlight.
3rd Day.
Bought a grey tailcoat and grey coat at the same sale :) $20!!
I wore my Steampunk outfit in full for the first time. Was brilliant fun! Being all dressed up costume style is way to much fun.
I watched the costume panel and at the end of that it was decided to have an impromtue fursuit walk through the city :D The reactions where priceless and was another highlight.
Later on was the no talent night presided over by Allen, dress as the Joker, the single best Joker outfit I have ever seen, and Zaen dressed up as some form of orc type creature which was awesome.
Towards the end of it Ben, baptised by Pete as Ben Raven, and I went off to grab some maccas for dinner. The looks I got on the way there and back were too much fun :D
Later on we went with Alan still dressed up as the Joker and Deezmo to grab some maccas. People moved out of the way of the way as we walked there :D Awesomely fun :D
We ended up hanging out in Pete and Fireys room drinking absinth. Brilliant night :)
4th Day.
Wore my Steampunk get up again, you really can get away with more things in a costume. Like posing. I spent a lot of time posing for photos :) I even got photographed for Jmag :D
Most of the day is blurry as like most other people I had a fair bit to drink. We started a little art jam which was terrific fun with a bunch of awesome people :) We all signed a couple of cars, then more drinking and flailing about and more awesome and drawing and hanging out with peoples and no sleep.
I can honestly say that for a journal that was mighty pathetic, especially for one of the best weekends of my freaking life!
Quick little tally for my own amusement.
New awesome friends: Many :D
Number of jackets bought: 4
Number of sketchs: Not enough.
Number of commissions accidently gotten: 2
Number of cigarette burns: 3.... One thanks to the co-operation of Dandy and Ben Raven which has left a nice little scarry thing on the top of my hand where they put out a smoke. And one of my palm where I put out a smoke. It's my own fault for not flinching...
Number of times whipped with a rubber snake: WAY TO MANY!!! NIPPLE WHIP!!
Anyway this seems like enough for now. I'll try and get some photos up soonish :)

I think overall it's been a very good year, I have met a bunch of great people and have improved skill wise if I do say so myself.
Being just 167 pageviews short of 1000 makes me happy as well :) Its a pretty good start for someone who posts up the opposite if what people want to see lol. So here's the deal I'll keep doing my stuff and you keep looking at it. Ok. Seems fair :)
This new year will be bigger and better! With features such as - probably more art and stuff YaY!! and potentially less pants :O
Any way MiDFur stuff!!! YAY!!!! only a week away in my time :P getting exciting!!!
So anyone who's going and reading this, all maybe 6 of you, At any time you see me there just come up and say hi or whatever you feel is a neccessary greeting :D You'll probably find me wandering aimlessly or hanging in the dealers den.

Me and The Cops, MiDFur!!!
General | Posted 17 years agoOk so I had some mates over tonight. We had some drinks. I had lots of scotch :D Still a bit drunk. typing is hard :D
Any way.
Apparently we were making to much noise. So at pretty much at midnight the cops show up asking who's house it is. At this point I had just drunk 3 shots of scotch and was wearing a dressing gown and not much else. I wasn't wearing pants :D And from what I can rememb er I told theh cops my name, spelt it out, and my date of birtth I can hardsly remember this lol.
Good night :D good night. So now they have my details go me!!
Some other stuff happend and my friend who I was pretty muich in love with is now going out with, from the looks of him, a bit of a tool who despite her saying he's hot, he isnt, there arent many people I think I'm hotter then but he would be one of them.

Apparently we were making to much noise. So at pretty much at midnight the cops show up asking who's house it is.
