All right so couple of updates. Finally in my new place under constant attacks by my roommates cats and internet is up and running woot. So day one went well good was tasty and minus having to skip breakfast due to work drama things went smoothly. Day two thanks to an alarm clock malfunction was not able to get up in time to cook so have to wait till 4 to fix me some food which sucks.

As for observations on the whole deal. I can say it looks kind of easy now given I have been planning out what to eat for each day but I can also say way more work the. I was expecting. Also had the luxury of a vehicle and a day off to go get stuff from a couple of locations so that helped but I can see issue if you have to ride the bus or ask for rides.

Final thing of not I have been informed that trying this challenge is apprentice belittling to folks actually on food stamps and that I am pulling an asshole kind of move by doing this as I won't be able to understand the frustration, stress and social stigma that comes with being on the snap program. So asking you guys if folks feel like I am belittling people or being an asshole for doing this let me know and I will put a stop to the whole deal as I do not mean to act like a jackass not is my intention to belittle people.

All right, so I am highly considering doing the SNAP challenge. That is eating for one week on food stamps. For the most part as the average dictate, you aim for eating on 29 dollars for one week for the whole week. Which averages out to about 1.38 per meal for food. Now with that all being said, I am curious, would you folks like to see me cooking things up for cheap, posting pictures of my food and overall just trying this thing out? Also, I want folks to offer up any ideas of extra rules or such I should put in place to make things slightly more interesting. What I mean by this, is the whole idea of SNAP is as an assistance program and a supplement to your normal grocery buying ability. So with that being said, since it is supposed to be a supplement can I use the deer meat I was given the other day by a friend, or use my connections in the restaurant industry to snag a couple of extra things? If ya'll are cool with that then I shall use the stuff, if not everything comes from scratch. Beyond that I would like to ask if I am allowed to use the spices in my pantry or do I have to buy all that from scratch as well?

Also, as some will point out, this isn't fair for me to do this challenge as I am not on food stamps and I am just poking fun at or belittling the struggle people go through on a daily basis to just eat enough. That is not the point I am aiming to make. The point is I know what it is like to be hungry, I had several rough years where I struggled to make ends meat and I did what I could to keep my stomach full. Asking for the scraps from where I worked, to helping out a friend on their farm for some produce. However I never went on food stamps as I didn't think I needed them. The goal here is to raise awareness and figure out is it possible to live on that amount a week in America for food.

So here is the thing, I am willing to do more and even willing to do some for free. Basically pay what you feel it is worth kind of thing. So to open it up I am gonna say 3 slots are open. So I wrote another example, bit of fun and once again asking for thoughts feedback, and the like if folks would like something similar to this as it is super quick for me to whip up.

So you want me to tell you how things went with Gazzy after our fight? Well, pretty fucking good if you ask me.
