HI WOW IT'S BEEN A WHILE HASN'T IT?? TAHB/GOC/KL
Posted 10 years agoHELLO WOW HI HEY.
HERE. I haven't posted since The Chariot split up JEEZ dang.
ANYWAY, HI. Just thought I'd stop by for a hot minute to inform you nerds of some things. I promise I won't abuse this too much but figured I'd do a bit of a shameless plug and throw some musical news for my own projects up here real quick (if somehow you missed it on my personal page).
First!
I'm in the process of writing BOOG 4 which is NEATO NEWS. If you haven't heard 2 and 3 you should probably fix that especially if you like NAILS and The Acacia Strain! (https://theandrewhussieboogaloo.bandcamp.com/)
SECOND!!!!!!!!!
If you remember all my really old shitty demos that I used to post under the name Ghosts Of Catharsis, good news! I brought it back and FINALLY wrote a full album for it! I'm super proud of it and feel like it's definitely some of the best melodic metalcore stuff I've written! If you like stuff like August Burns Red and Texas In July, you'll have a blasty blast jamming it.
https://ghostsofcatharsis.bandcamp.com/
THIRD
In the interest of not making this completely about me, gonna share a band! If you haven't heard Knocked Loose, now you have! They may or may not be getting signed to a cool label soon and I have a feeling they're gonna blow the heck up in the next year, jump ahead of the curve and get in on their tasty beatdown goodness.
https://knockedloose.bandcamp.com
FOURTH
He Is Legend is crowdfunding their next studio album since they aren't on a label anymore so if you wanna help with that because they're a freakin great band, just giving you the heads up!

Posted 12 years agoNot sure if any of you fuzzies remember these guys,I posted about em a few months back.
They just released this song and it is in my honest opinion one of their heaviest to date.
Check em out....Australia never seems to disappoint when it comes to deathcore,hardcore/whatever you like core

Long Live The Chariot
Posted 12 years agoSooooooooooooooo, it's with a pretty heavy heart that I'm dropping this. The Chariot just announced via video that they're throwing in the towel. I know they're definitely not everyone's cup of tea but the influence they've had on so many musicians and bands is huge. They haven't posted the venues for their farewell tour coming this october/november but when they do, if you see that there's a date even remotely near you, seriously, go to it. I saw them front row at Haste The Day's farewell tour and they're one of the most energetic, intense, chaotic and passionate live acts I've ever seen. I was sore for days after that show haha. If you've never seen them now is your last chance to and I would highly recommend it.
Misery Signals
Posted 12 years agoI don't know about the rest of you guys and girls but Me and
are anxiously waiting for the new album to be released entitled Absent Light (JULY 23,2013. GO BUY IT IF YA DIG IT!!!)
I have always like these dudes and they put on an intense and fun show live. I'm glad they decided to throw out a new record that was fan-funded. I am happy to say I part took in it.
It will blow you away. Misery Signals would be for fans of anything Melodic and Heavy in case you have no idea who they are.
You won't be disappointed.

Posted 12 years ago1st off,I'm sorry me and edge amongst the other admins have been slacking. we're all busy with our lives and our jerbs :B
anyways, I've been into these guys for some time and I have to say their new music is hitting everything spot on. They are a band that knows how to connect to many of their fans as do many bands. They seem to exactly know what it feels like to be so down that you don’t want to go on, how it feels to be so outcasted and all you have is yourself and the music you cling to because it means everything to you.
This album is going to fucking own. it's darker and angrier. me likey
Buy the album, buy a shirt, go see them at a fucking show. Stage dive and mosh.
Or maybe that's just me.

"I am more than familiar with feeling empty. The conduit; I allow myself to drain.
My mind is the trench in which I will be buried.
Watch me wither away. Put me out of my misery.
I can only find solace in sleep, a sub-conscious sanctuary, I am longing to be set free.
Yet I am the one who holds the key. I am the one who holds the key.
A lifetime spent trying to place the blame on anyone or anything.
This is not who I am. I am not who I used to be.
Set me free."

THE CONTORTIONIST / GLASS CLOUD / FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS
Posted 13 years agoTHE CONTORTIONIST - INTRINSIC
If you've already heard these guys they really need no introduction, you know the game they bring and they bring it hard. I'm a little over halfway through this and it's definitely an INCREDIBLY well-written album. They've foregone the breakdown-laden heaviness that was present in Exoplanet, while still sounding like themselves to venture more into their experimental and atmospheric interests. Jonathan Carpenter has brought his clean singing vocals more into play on this album (lots of vocoded stuff mixed in too!) and it's definitely well done. Where his keyboards were more of an afterthought in their previous material, along with synths they've been brought more into the forefront on this album. There's still heavy moments here and there in the album but they've definitely decided to lean more towards progressive writing with Intrinsic. Exoplanet was so good that I can honestly say I wouldn't mind if they wrote an album that ended up being Exoplanet II but growth and progression in bands that are already really good is always a great thing to see and here they've decided to expand upon the stuff that really made them stand out from all the other dime-a-dozen detuned breakdown touting deathcore bands out there. It might take you a bit to get into this album if you're expecting it to be similar to Exoplanet but Intrinsic actually compliments Exoplanet pretty well. This album is absolutely worth a listen, if for nothing else to hear how well they blend the atmospheric phrases with the heavy.

GLASS CLOUD - THE ROYAL THOUSAND
So this is a band comprised of Jerry Roush (ex-vocalist of Sky Eats Airplane from their self titled album), Josh Travis (guitarist of The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza), and two of Jerry's childhood friends. It quite literally sounds exactly like you'd think. SEA + DANZA. It's REALLY good though IMO. Jerry's clean vocals can be pitchy at times but it's still a solid effort, both melodic at times and punishingly heavy at others. Josh's guitar work is incredibly signature to himself and before I looked up more info on the band, the moment I heard the first single from them I thought to myself "what the hell... this sounds like Josh from Danza...?". If you like either of those bands you'll probably like them combined.

ARCHITECTS // FOR TODAY
Posted 13 years agoNew Architects album dropped and I can definitely say it's everything I was hoping it'd be. The heavy rage from Hollow Crown but with plenty of melody and DAMN Sam's clean vocals on this album rule. Solid album! These Colors Don't Run is one of my favorite tracks from them.

Andddd, the new Emmure leaked but as usual it's even worse than the album preceding it. I wanted to give it a shot because Mark Costillo (Bury Your Dead) is their new drummer but ugh. It's just so bad. For those of you that have a single shred of interest in them, don't waste your time.
