Tired of the Jack Carter case :/
Posted 12 years agoI'm really getting sick of this "Kid is going to jail for comment on League of Legends!!!!" case. Which, for those who don't know, was actually made on a facebook page. Not the in game client. Anywho, I'm sorta sick about all these people getting mad at the police, saying how he should never have been taken in, never been reported, blah blah blah. I think It's silly for people to go to jail for a sarcastic remark, but in today's age, you can't go saying anything about going to shoot up a school and expect no one to potentially worrying about it by following it up with 'LOL jk'. You can't do that without there being repercussions.
Anywho, I'm going to talk from what I understand from what I've seen the mother of the kid say, assuming she's being truthful, which seeing as some info is on her petition I'd hope it is. Be angry, that if the police or government felt threatened, by this comment, that it takes a month to get this kid into questioning, and anouther week past that to get his house searched. Now I'm sure, protocol has some reason for this, but if this is going to be seen as a threat, and cause this kid, potentially, more years than some cases of murder and theft, then that's aggravating. And I'm not even the one in his position!
TL;DR, Freedom of Speech became not full freedom the second you got the right to say 'Fire' in a crowded theater, and 'Hi Jack' on a plane, away from you. If these are rules, I'm pretty sure there's a rule somewhere stating that you're not allowed to joke about shooting up a school and eat their still beating hearts on a public page for all to see.

Pronz!
Posted 13 years ago...I'm drawing it, sorta. Mostly cause, as slutty as it seems, it's the one thing that got me slightly interested in drawing and uploading something. I hope to really not make a habit of it. Well. Not yet I guess. It's just pictures really.
We'll see. Other than that, more to come.

Comic
Posted 13 years agoPage one done. Just waitin' on the writer to put in the text and it'll be ready for upload. I believe I can do much better, and plan on showing that within the next pages.
Comiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiics
Posted 13 years agoSo! As some people know, I'm working on a comic. Though, Spoilers, it's not my own comic. I have been asked to illustrate someone's own comic idea. I've been working on concept art and panels for that. I won't talk about the story line, but I will talk about the art.
It will be Line Art and flat colors to start. No shading; Simple lines and color. Why I am choosing to do it this way is because I personally am not that great at rendering digitally, nor am I great at fur detailing. That being said, I plan on working on that about every other day, and as pages of the comic come out, implementing small things at a time. The reason for that, is that this isn't my comic. Even if I was told to use it as a playground to practice on my style, I would not be happy with the outcome if I just used it to try certain things. So, on my free time that I'm not working on the comic, I'll be practicing on side projects to improve my realism in digital painting.
On a slight side note, I was going to make a commission chart, but I decided I don't really feel I deserve payment for my art at the moment. I know many others who may not be as talented as me at the moment do commissions, and that is perfectly fine and their choice. I personally just would like to make sure my talent/skill/whatever you wish to call it, is a bit more refined as well with my ability to render and detail much better, before I go into making money off it so I can really feel that I earned it, if that makes any sense.
If you read the wall, thanks! If you didn't, I don't blame you. Thanks for being patient with me and still commenting on my art, it means a lot. Till next time!

Avatars
Posted 13 years agoSoo... I'm new here and all, and for some reason my avatars won't load. It's not a huge deal, I guess, but I am curious why I can't upload any. I meet all the requirements, cleared my cache, and even tried other browsers. Sucks, but I guess it's whatever?
Still though; I'd like this fixed, haha.
