Pulling my hair out, omg
Posted 12 years agoFor the last 4 days, I have been trying to upload my FC video to youtube, but I was running into all kinds of trouble with our terrible internet, and the upload would drop suddenly at random times, meaning I would have to restart and pray that the internet didn't drop again. Finally last night, an upload attempt managed to go all the way through! Yay!
Video was up, but then what happens? Youtube copyrights, they removed the audio, which isn't new to me, I have dealt with those sort of copyright claims, and normally, I would just file the dispute with the notes on fair use and whatnot, and the video in question and its audio would be returned, I have done it on other accounts and its never been an issue.
But then today, I did the normal procedure, and the video was back! For about 5 minutes, then the claim got reinstated, and now my youtube account has a strike and might be suspended.
This annoys me so much, Been trying for days to get this video up and its like life just doesnt want to let it happen.
Super frustrating, And yeah I could go back and change the audio to something else and re-upload, but its just a nuisance since I had spent many hours synching specific audio with certain video.
At this point, I just hate youtube, and everything.

FC, F frikin C. So.Much.Fun.
FC was a big experience for me for two reasons.
1, it was my first Fur Con
2. It was my first convention of any kind PERIOD.
Meaning that I just kinda threw myself into it without a clue what to expect. And boy, what an amazing experience it was. So much happened and I met so many awesome people, its an experience I will never forget or the rest of my life.
Highlights, The dances every night were super fun, lots of craziness happened every night, from dancing and glowstringing, to playing volleyball with a giant inflatable unicorn, it was insane. Also the Poi panel! So awesome, I learned so much and since the con, I have been spinning poi more than I ever have before.
Of course, being the video creator that I am, I had to get footage at FC, how could I not? Expect a Con video to be posted in the next day or so as its been in the works for the last few days since the end of the con.
So first con/fur con experience? Fan-freakin-tastic. Already can't wait to go to another. I might look into the Biggest Little Fur Con happening in Reno perhaps, I heard lots of talk about it and it certainly looks promising. Also there was talk of a few of my friends on heading up to Rainfurrest as well. Time will tell, but for now, getting back into the swing of school/work stuff. Def a weird feeling after 4 days of nonstop fun, but such is life ya know?
Anyways, look out for the con video coming soon!
God bless!

3:30 ish and on, I know I have heard that song before and its been bugging me all week cause I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I tried to listen to the lyrics but the audio is kinda muffled to tell. Or even if anyone knows what DJ that was playing there by any chance, haha.
Oh well, worth a shot.

So FC is coming up....this a bad idea?
Posted 13 years agoA group of us got a room for FC, and we are planning to have 10 people in this room. Is this overdoing it? My friend kept insisting that he had done 14 in a room before and ten would not be an issue, but I still feel a bit uneasy about the space...
Childhood beliefs.
Posted 13 years agoLooking back, i thought some weird things when I was a kid
There was a restaurant that my family used to frequent, and I always loved their cheeseburger. I was like 7 years old and my Dad would order it for me and when they asked how I wanted it done, he would tell them "medium". For some reason, I assumed that this meant the size of the burger, so when this place would bring out this huge cheeseburger that I could only eat half, I assumed they had a "large" that was giant. I found out this was not the case when I was around 9 and started ordering my own stuff and thought I could handle a "large" and replied "large" to the waiter asking how I wanted the burger done. > . <
This one I don't recall, but apparently from my parents and relatives, I used to despise spaghetti with a passion, because I was convinced that it was "bloody worms". And apparently I had thrown spaghetti at the ceiling in terror one day and it left a spaghetti stain on the ceiling that never fully came off. Yes, right above me right now is this odd red-ish splotch on the ceiling. The heck....
I used to believe that if someone fell off a cliff/ jumped off a building and they hit the ground, they would bounce, and the reason they would die is cause the air would get knocked out of them for too long and they wouldn't be able to breather. I never imagine it was possible that the human body would just kind of GLEGH.
We live near SF Chinatown, and I used to think that you could not use american money to buy things there because everyone spoke chinese. I would watch my mom pay for stuff in american money and think the store owners would be annoyed because they would have to go somewhere to convert the currency.
My parents used to joke with me that meatballs grew on trees. I genuinely believed them and asked for a "meatball tree" one christmas. They let me believe this for over a year.... : \ .
I used to think cooked fish would come back to life if I put them in water, so I once took the cod my Dad had made for dinner and waited till nobody was looking and threw it into the bath-tub and turned on the water. I realized something went wrong when the fish started to dissolve apart in the tub and I started crying. My parents hurried to see what was wrong and were quite surprised to find a crying child, running water in the bathtub, and chunks of fish with soy sauce and seasoning floating around within.
I used to think you lived as long as some air supply that you had internally, and each time you breathed, you were taking away life. So I used to hold my breath at random times thinking it was saving my life, and once I had gotten a basketball pump and inhaled a ton of air thinking I was adding life to myself.
I thought anybody driving a black colored car was a "bad guy" so I got scared when the family was out and we had to walk by a black car. And I was very torn when my uncle purchased a black acura as there was a conflict in my mind of "black car/bad guy", and Uncle/good guy"
I thought it was impossible for a woman to be mean or do anything wrong, only guys could do something wrong or mean. And if a woman tried to do something bad, they would turn into guys and there would be an earthquake ( < I was 4 ok...)
Yeah, thats all for now.

Long ish journal, something on the mind.
Posted 13 years agoSomething that's been on my mind.
Ill say this journal is very different, somewhat something people often will not want to hear about or just not want to get involved, but I just felt I wanted to say it, haha, so here goes I guess.
So some know that I am Christian and have been since early childhood. Throughout my life, I have heard talking with friends and acquaintances about how they have had bad experiences with other Christians and its sad to see and hear so much of that now.
When I was younger, I learned about God and Jesus, and his love for everyone, but often now, I see all these Christian groups and individuals not showing the love of God, but trying to condemn people with that whole "turn or burn" type thing they do, and I honestly can't understand how they think what they are doing is ok. I think back about examples of how Jesus showed love to everyone no matter who they were, didn't matter. And if this is the case and Christians are supposed to aim to be like Jesus, how does that fit with these that you see with the judgemental signs on the street, the condemning words. It doesn't add up.
I was watching a movie today called "father of lights" and it was really encouraging for me. It was a documentary that went around and showed Christian individuals and groups that would go to the last places you would think they would go, and the awesome thing is, they didn't go to judge and condemn, they didn't go to "convert" anyone, all they wanted to do was love on people and nothing else. I love what one of them was saying: I don't do this to try to convert anyone or judge, I don't go to make them believe, I just want people to know that there is someone there that loves them, no matter who they are and what they have done, there is a god that cares for them. Wether or not they believe it, if they reject it, that's fine move on, but if there is an opportunity for me to show gods love, I'll do it, and ill be the one to say hey, Jesus loves you.
So good. Seeing that movie really encouraged me. Especially after I did encounter some of those "turn and burn" christians while out one day, they didn't know I was christian but this guy with a sign that said something along the lines of "you will be judged! repent now!" yelled at me to change my ways, that irked me so much. How is that showing love in any way, you don't know the person you're trying to "get at" you arent responding out of love, people like those somehow have this idea they are these giant ambassadors of "the truth" when they are missing the goal of what they should be doing, loving people, true unconditional love, seeing people how god see's them. They aren't some great high powered people who are greater than those who arent "christian", like seriously, I hate seeing people like that who think that :oh im "christian" so I am so much better and I know everything you should do and not do! So annoying, I think everyone is human, and everyone is on the same level, people do good, bad, whatevs, I don't think anyone should be placed on some super mega high pedestal like that. Isn't right.
I know this journal is just ranting, idk if people will read it, but its something I just wanted to say. For all those friends and other acquaintences who ran into those judging condemning "christians" I just wish I could apologize for those experiences. Its not ok that there are people who are doing stuff like that, its heck of a lot more wrong than anything that they are trying to condemn people for that they say is "wrong"
I guess Ill end this by saying, if anyone of you think that me being christian would make me think or act anyway like some of those that sadly are around, don't think that please, you should never expect me to judge, condemn, feel uncomfortable cause "he only hans out with "holy" people" heck no, But I will probably just be a friendly guy as much as I can be and love on all of you, cause I believe thats how I should be. Not cause some verse tells me too, but thats what I believe is right, and if Jesus was having that kinda mindset and actions, thats what I want to do. Ill not ever try to push my beliefs on anyone, Ill just be me, and if people like "me" cool, if not, oh well, but whatevs, haha.
Anyways, yeah long ish journal, just speakin what was on the mind.
Back to animal stuff now, rawr bark mew yarp marf wuff awrooo....

Video editing, getting better?
Posted 13 years agoOver the years, I have loved to capture video of different events and other things and editing footage together as short movies, showcases etc.
Its been many years and much equipment, but It was interesting to see how far I had come when I watched one of my old videos and compared to my newest edit I did at the US national yoyo contest this year:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNbkYGVlIa8
Hopefully I can continue to improve and obtain more skills. Just switched over to Final Cut Pro X and slowly getting the hang of it for now
We'll see how it goes in the future!

asdfghjkl Blue Angel jets in SF
Posted 13 years agoErghhh so every year here in SF, we get the Blue Angels here for fleet week which is like a big air show type deal. They arrive wednesday, practice thursday and friday, and do their big shows on saturday and sunday.
So sad though cause I am missing it all...
Normally I could at least see them thursday practice (each year I always end up doing something on friday saturday sunday out of town) but I have a later class this semester that is during their practice.
Oh well, I at least could HEAR them as I walked to class LERL :P
And probably hear them a bit in class now, crazy loud jet's haha.
Idk if any of you ever got a chance to see them, but if you ever do, check it out, epic stuff to see.

To the waitress at that Chinese restaurant...
Posted 13 years agoYou have my respect.
So today, our family went out to this really nice banquet style chinese restaurant for my grandfathers birthday. This restaurant is often quite in demand, and reservations are pretty much necessary if you want to get a table.
We got seated and as we were ordering, I noticed these two young caucasian ladies come in with one asian woman, and they seemed to not be taking no for an answer as the man at the head counter was telling them that there were no tables available, to which one woman would argue "nobody is sitting at them now", which was true, but they had them reserved for a party coming in in 40-45 ish minutes apparently. The woman continued to argue until the man finally gave up and let them get a table. A waitress brought them to the table and was explaining to them "we need this table cleared in less than an hour so try to order as quickly as you can." The woman then ended up talking for a while, eyeing the menu, and one of them got up to use the phone outside. So the waitress came back and calmly said to them: "Sorry, but remember we need this table and you have under an hour" and one of the woman literally cut her off screaming in her face "WE KNOW, PLEASE GO AWAY, SHEESH" The waitress simply laughed it off and was like "ok ok".
If that had happened to me, I think I would have either kicked them out, or poured a bucket of water on their heads, but that waitress handled it very well, even as the woman stated "Wow what a (blank)" as the waitress was walking off blatantly loud enough for the waitress to hear.
Another waiter and the waitress joked about those woman in chinese which was funny though, haha.
But good gosh, just be grateful you could even eat there when the whole restaurant is really going out of their way to try to make things good for you.

Oh no! What do I do? D:
Posted 13 years agoSaw a young bird in the street outside almost being run over, cars barely missing it, so I went out and moved it aside, but found that this bird was very weak, not able to fly, nor stand for that matter. We live in a very urban area so I cant just leave it on the sidewalk...
Its not a "baby" but it does seem pretty young, looks to be some sort of Jay of somekind.
So Im not sue now....what do?
Haha.

The song now will not leave my head and memories of playing crazy taxi every friday at the bowling alley are now flooding my brain.
I gotta find a place with that game again, haha.

First time making a fur event video
Posted 13 years agohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icHQpNZ72lQ
I got to go to the FC 2012 picnic last weekend, and omg so much fun, got to meet lots of cool people and it was just an awesome time.
I decided to try my hand at putting together a video of the event, and I think it turned out nicely. I have done other event videos in the past, but never of a fur event,
Anyways, thought I would share that and all its glory, lawl
