The dream fades

Posted 8 years agoHello to everyone that stumbles upon my little mark on the internet. I've been idle a long long time and thought I'd give it a go to actually put my thoughts down and explain where life has been.
For the last couple of years it's been a struggle to find a lot of the things I wanted, namely a Job I got paid for that I would do any day for a hug and a slice of pizza, a car that was reliable and fun to drive, an apartment that was mostly my own where I don't have to worry about being berated by anyone for my choices of a recluse and quiet lifestyle. While I searched and searched and lost my way here or there I found what I really wanted, worked for it and got the things that made me happy, but there was always something slightly off. For a few years I was involved with a relationship that for lack of a bigger summary went no where for a long time. For whatever reason I stuck around for far too long and drove myself up a tree and off a cliff, something changed and I made up my mind that this wasn't part of the things that were making me happy. Fast forward a little bit and I found myself in company that wasn't gnashing to the bone to deal with and eventually I met a literal couple of poly-amorous people that would change my life.
To say I click with them is a massive understatement, they're everything I could have hoped to have found in any other person, more relatable that anything I could have thought imaginable. I finally feel like I found a home, a family that I belong to that doesn't feel alien and that I don't have to wait years to see.. They're my Bestfriends, my Lovers, people I feel safe doing anything with and being completely Honest with no matter what. I've never felt more in-sync, like I've never had more in common, and just overall happy with anyone else.
Besides these important updates, Work has been pleasant and I've returned to our main office in the last month from an on-site contract we had for a few months to take care of one company.. I've been with an MSP for a while now, doing Network Infrastructure, Maint, and break-fix for servers and workstations for almost two years now, things have been steady and soon I'll be renewing certifications I already have and testing for a few new ones that will just make life easier in the future. Last January I bought a 2008 Ford Mustang, a body style I wanted for a really long time, I have some light modifications still in mind but overall it's been running like a champ. And this month I'll be in my current apartment for Ten months, not a terribly huge accomplishment but I'm Five minutes from work here and despite a few issues it's been better than the last places I've rented from.

I am writing you a letter to explain to you how I feel. And right now I feel pretty shocked, still. I don't understand what happened.
Your Best-friend Katie had written me a message expressing that you felt, harassed, and that you believed me to obsess. And at an earlier point, I really did like you a lot. But I feel like I mellowed out a bit in the last month. I only see us as friends, though I admire you as a person with a great personality, and a person with great potential skill. As I would any good friend.
I hope this isn't the letter in which I have to say goodbye to my friend.
But in case it is, I'm so incredibly sorry for what you think I've done. I Wish we could have talked about this. I feel at like I'm at a terrible loss, for what feels like almost no reason. You're a great friend. You're a great artist. If I don't see you sometime in this small world again, I hope you do very well in what you choose to do in life.
