General | Posted 14 years agoFollowing on from last time, I saw my GP today about how to begin hormone treatment. I wasn't too comfortable explaining it all in person, I'm terrible at explaining things in person at the best of time, but I got through, was given a number for counselling and I'm now booked for a telephone interview to discuss everything.
For my own record, that'll be 9:15 AM, 30th September.
Gonna have to think hard about what I'll be saying then, or else I'll be stumbling through it like an oaf.
Aside from that, I have to say I've been amazed at the reaction I've received to this decision. Everyone's been accepting, supportive and excited at seeing me turn shemale, and I can't express just how happy it's made me feel. Even my own mother is fine with it, though actually telling her was too hard and the only thing I could do to break it to her was to tell her to read my journal while I walked out the door this morning.
But at least that's the hardest step out of the way.

Big decision time
General | Posted 14 years agoI had a weekend away with plenty of time to myself and decided to make use of it to make up my mind about something.
I want to go over to my doctor and get set up with some hormone replacement therapy so I can turn shemale.
It's a culmination of things across my life. Starting with a feeling that maybe I'd have been happier if I were a girl for as long as I can remember, being gay but still holding an interest in breasts, being attracted to shemales and herms for years, wishing I might know someone like that, more recently idly wanting to be like it and then over the course of this year, giving it serious contemplation.
What ultimately decided it was the fact that whenever I leaned towards doing it, I felt really happy for doing so, but when I leaned away, I felt only regret.
The final thing I wanted to do was talk to some friends about it and their acceptance, encouragement and excitement was all I could hope for, it made me feel so happy to be going forward with this change. Damn it, I love the people who love me.
I'll book an appointment with a doctor tomorrow.

General | Posted 15 years agoNintendo's new console, that one that's supposed to have the screen in the controller that's going to cost a load of money each, is going to allow you to run multiple copies of your games at once and have them streamed to different controller screens.
Nintendo's focus has been getting everyone to play, but not everyone can at once when something single player is in the machine. So, something like this would really meet their objective.
Of course, that kind of setup would put a lot of strain on the console and at the very least you'd see an increase in load times, but there's nothing making it impossible. I just thought I'd throw the concept out there and if it happens to come true, you can all come back and worship my clairvoyance.

At some point during the countdown, Spacebat—a Free-Tailed Chiroptera—was spotted latched to the foam of the external fuel tank, occasionally moving but never letting go. Wildlife experts deduced that he had injured his wing and shoulder, leaving him with little chance of survival. He remained on the tank until launch. NASA's cold report?
The animal likely perished quickly during Discovery's climb into orbit.

General | Posted 15 years agoMy graphics card died and the motherboard has no onboard graphics, so until a replacement arrives, I'm going to be stuck with just my PS3, which has a pretty terrible browser.
If anyone wants to go and add SomeFurf to their PSN friends list so we can bounce messages at each other (And maybe offer me care packages of porn), that'd be cool.
Meanwhile, I am pretty much the champion of Derpy Hooves Day. You were supposed to hand-write a letter, I did and posted a sketch for my buddy Cupo, too. You were supposed to eat a muffin, I made my own and shared them with the people I live with. You were supposed to move an object to the wrong room, not only did I do that, but it was in the wrong house! I left my collar back home last time I visited and only just got it back. As for derped up eyes, that's what I'm like without my glasses, so 100% natural Derpy here.
Could you have done more? I doubt it.

-Muffins. At least one must be consumed by days end, lest Pinkie's tail twitch for you.
-The Muffin shaped cake is fine even if you are not Orthodox Derpy.
-An article must be moved from one area of the house and placed in the wrong one for the entire Hoofiday.
-Letters must be hoof written and delivered to those you love within delivery distance. E-mails have now been recognized for those too far for this observance.
At least try to deliver one RL letter.
The Letters are to be about why you love them or are thankful they are your friend. (Bonus writing a loving friendship letter to an enemy.)
-Anytime a picture of you is taken or you see yourself in a mirror, you must give the traditional Derpy Occular salute. 9_6

First up is the story
Rhazzazor finally completed for me. See here. A tale of lesbian schoolgirls that just happens to have a character named Hat. How much she is me is debatable since the concept of lesbianthropy had to be left out to match the setting. I debated whether or not to call her Hat, but in the end decided if we did, it would give me an excuse to post it in my own gallery. Eventually. So yeah, let's just say it is me.
Second, we have
TheBlackDeer who's gone crazy for male Hat. She's drawn one high quality bust sketch and a trio of work in progress pictures. And that's just what she felt like posting.
Other than that, Xexus has said that the next coloured picture should come today or tomorrow and Kame will, ah, go at his own pace, I dunno. If either of them wanted to take a break from me, I wouldn't mind at all.

It's time to celebrate

Here's what I had in mind. Twelve pictures of twelve different people doing it with Hat across twelve hours, changing from male to dickgirl to female as we go.
Now, I don't have twelve characters, so I'm going to have to borrow some. Here's how it's going to work. You tell me which form(s) of Hat you'd take, then give me a reference link or two (Or a short written description if you must) and a brief idea about what you would want to do. No need to go into depth, we'll work out the details once I have a list. Minor props are okay, but tentacles and ghosts would not fit in too well.
Also note that Hat is gay, so no females with the male Hat and no males with the female Hat. Herms have all-access passes.
Also also, I'd appreciate it if you didn't go telling everyone there's someone handing out free art. This is supposed to be a thanks to anyone who's already here. Though I won't go looking through my watch list to check off names.

My thoughts on kiriban events

That's not to say I don't appreciate gifts of art being handed out, that's wonderful, but the way they are usually earned, first one to send a screenshot of a specific pageview count, isn't terribly fair. First by tying the event to a specific time, when anyone could be asleep, outside, or just not on FurAffinity then. Second, by being inherently open to cheating.
The first point I could take or leave. Anyone with even a modest amount of popularity would get swamped if they left the window open for a whole day to allow for everyone, so cutting down on potential entries makes the whole process easier.
The second point is my big criticism. Anyone with MS Paint can create a fake screenshot and have that uploaded or ready to upload the instant the view count ticks over. Or if you don't want to go to the effort of that, you could easily have an upload page, Paint and a note to be sent to whoever ready to go as soon as possible. You could even prepare a link in advance of your upload if the service you use is predictable about them.
If you don't take these measures, you're not likely to win.
So taking the first person to send you a note is not the best way to go. A fairer option is to take any number of entries and pick a random winner out of them. For just a little bit of extra work, you'll completely avoid any potential complaints, cheating, or drama. You might have someone fake a screenshot if they were just a little late, but since that could have happened in the previous system, it's no worse at the very least.
Or, hey, why not be nice and hand out sketches to everyone who tries, rather than one full colour picture to one winner?
But let's break this down in to its base components. The kiriban thing is fundamentally about celebrating rising popularity with gifts for your followers. Whatever method you take to decide on a recipient is just a means to an end. There are so many other options as well, such as
- First person to reply to a journal
- Next person to favourite a picture (Without announcing that there would be a prize)
- Challenge your followers to a puzzle
- Street Fighter tournament
- "Guess the number I'm thinking of"
- Best TF2 hat offer
- Best music recommendation
- Judge ideas for the picture you'll be drawing or have commissioned
- "Which picture in my gallery do I like most?"
Myself, I just decided to put up a journal asking to borrow characters to celebrate 200 watches and 3000 views quietly and it worked out well. I'll be doing it again some time.

A week later
General | Posted 15 years agoSo I moved on from home to university last Sunday. The first night was a tough realisation that my life has taken a huge change and I keep catching myself and pondering what it means whenever I refer to this new room as home. But, I've adapted, I'm comfortable living here now and away from my family.
That's not to say I don't miss them already, though I'd never admit it to my sister. I'm really looking forward to having some money come in at the end of the month so I can make a quick visit home. I left a couple of things there anyway, so I totally have a legitimate excuse for turning up.
Unfortunately, my main student loan has been delayed because of their ineptitude. That Bad Dragon toy I was so looking forward to will have to wait.
But hey, rationing myself off to living on about £25 per week will make that £10 per day allowance seem like a real gift when it eventually comes in.

Unfortunately, my main student loan has been delayed because of their ineptitude. That Bad Dragon toy I was so looking forward to will have to wait.
But hey, rationing myself off to living on about £25 per week will make that £10 per day allowance seem like a real gift when it eventually comes in.
