I had an accident with my files and lost them all... My family photos, high school memories, my family trips and parties, my sister's birth, my pets, my old house, photos of my grandfather's ranch. Also gone were personal photos of me and my husband, our first dates together, our precious memories, including private files, our intimacy.

Also, all my work from the last 8 years, all my high resolution drawings, and all the original PSD files, went to hell. Each and every one of the commissions, gifts, trades, collabs... Also, painfully, all my personal drawings from the last 12 years. My first drawings, the references of my characters, the memories of my Rolplay, of my stories.

Important things like medical exams, legal documents, the project of my future house also left. And other files not so important, but with sentimental value, such as my collection of images, movies, manga, books, tutorials, etc.

Thanks to Patreon, I was able to recover some high-resolution images of my work from the last few months... Also, in the history of WhatsApp conversations with my husband, I was recover half of our photographs, although not in high resolution. And of course, after trying to restore files with hard drive data recovery programs, I was able to save a few more files, but out of almost 2 TB of memory, I only had 90 GB of data left. So imagine my deep, deep pain.

I was depressed about this situation for a couple of weeks, I couldn't turn on my work computer or tablet without feeling a deep emptiness and mourning the loss of my precious 12 years of memories. But like every duel, little by little I am overcoming it... And I learned a huge lesson, back up all my files always, not store everything in one place, and continue using my Patreon and the rest of my social networks to publish my art, my photographs, my memories... So they will always be available to me when I need them.

Now, I just have to make new memories. New photographs, new trips, new drawings, new all. And I thank everyone who will be part of them in the future. You are my family, I infinitely appreciate your support, hugs.

We all go through bad times, bad things happen to all of us, we all suffer... And I consider myself a positive and happy person in general, but right now I'm going through the worst artistic block of my life.

It all started with my health problems a year ago, when I couldn't breathe properly for more than 8 months. I stopped eating, lost 25kg (55lb) and was broken inside. I went into depression, I broke off my relationship because I didn't feel good about myself. Added to that, I had to try to be well to be the main economic support of my family despite feeling like shit, without physical or mental strength to be able to draw. Or eat. Or breathe. Then I had surgery to correct it, but all of that wiped out my savings. I was very frustrated, tired, uninspired...

Added to that, my mother is going through a delicate health situation, possibilities of breast and womb cancer at the same time, added to depression and anxiety. Having to be strong for myself and her and the rest of my close family has been absolutely exhausting, and I've reached my limit...

Now I feel tired, I can't draw for more than 30 minutes without feeling totally insufficient, frustrated and tired. I have cried a lot, because it is very sad to suffer doing something that I really love. Drawing is my life in all aspects and not being able to do it is even worse than not being able to breathe properly.

I've even thought about giving up drawing and getting a regular job, but in Mexico the salary is disgusting and with it I couldn't pay for my family and myself, especially for health issues.

But I know that I love, love, love to draw, that's why I'm trying so hard to get out of my artistic block and get rid of all the negative feelings. For this reason, I have decided to pause the commissions for a while and dedicate myself to things that get me out of this mental situation. I will work on YCHs and other projects that make my own ideas work, bring my inspiration to the surface and return to feeling totally satisfied with my work, as I always have been.

The YCHs will help not only reawaken my inspiration and my desire to draw more and more, but they will cover my expenses, I will pay rent, food, medicine and help my family.

I may have to put my dreams on hold for a while, build a house of my own, move in with my partner, take vacations, all of that will have to wait until I can go back to work normally, but that's okay because I really want to be able to draw with all the freedom and forever love.
