Sad news for my SSVM mod
Posted 2 years agoEffective today, I will not be making further work on my Starbound mod. I know this will come as a disappointment to everyone who is waiting patiently for my mod and I won't blame you if you unwatch me, same goes for those of you who just recently watched me. To keep this simple and clean, I just don't enjoy Starbound or modding it anymore and wish to move on to other projects. I simply want to move on to trying 3D animating and other things.
With regret, this is goodbye to Starbound modding from me. I'll upload the final build and it will be up to you if you wish to download it or not. I only ask if you do, please back up your Starbound saves before installing.

Eeveelution Update 2!
Posted 4 years agoReally need to keep people up to date....
ANYWAYS! Sorry for going quiet for so long. I'm still working on Eevee. What happened is, right after I made a post that I was still working on Eevee and said there was no bad news, I got stuck on a tiny little code. What code is it? The one the allows the VSO to release its prey. For 3 months I've been stuck staring at my computer screen wondering why it would work for one animation but not the other. Finally got it working though! Now because of the method I discovered (Which I bet would have been obvious to anyone else that actually knows what their doing, cause I sure as heck didn't! XD), I now have shortened not only the Release codes but also the Digest codes! Now when I start getting to the other Eeveelutions, I won't have to worry about those animations either!
That being said, Once Eevee is finished, I'll release it to the public. Don't have a set ETA however so bare with me for a little longer.
Also if you have questions about the VSO, please comment in either the VSO's page if their released or here in the Journals. I won't be able to reply if you leave a shout.

Eeveelution Update!
Posted 4 years agoRight, attempt number (I have no clue anymore) of me trying to come up with an update log.
Good news first!
I'm still working on Eevee's Sprites and stuff. So far I'm working on the coding of the VSO to make it almost "automatic" in a way. Meaning I can make a sprite group load. Name the group and everything else gets set up. For example, I can now name a group like "Unbirth" and that groups Idle, Blink, and Struggle/Rub animations load without me having to add them to the code. On another note, I also made a code that allows me to control how many animation variants there are per direction and if this belly state has a Struggle and/or Rub route.
As for the Evolution, it's doable!
Bad news.
So far, none! So technically good news?
Silly little things now!
My Eevee sprite sheet is causing Aseprite to take longer to save (It went from instant to 3 seconds). So I'll have to keep the Eeveelution sprites apart.
Other, not so important notes.
I don't plan on working on my VSO mods only. I do plan on doing other things here as well. I'd liked to give 3d vore animations a try. Maybe make a game? *Shrugs* For now, I'll focus on on the VSOs.

Hello! Update on Umbreon!
Posted 5 years agoJust wanted to let everyone know I've officially been getting to work on the next VSO. This VSO despite me calling it Umbreon is infact Eeveelution. The goal is to make ALL Eevee evolutions into a single VSO. I've got big plans for this VSO. But before I go and spoil it, I have to make sure the ideas work first.
Random Question!
Posted 5 years agoWhat would you consider too much, animation wise, when it comes to Struggle/Rub Animation count for a single VSO? Cause I'm pretty sure 80 is too much.....XD
Upload 1 on the way!
Posted 5 years agoI'm getting my First release ready. It will be uploaded in a few moments. Just need to figure out how to share it real quick....
Update #4
Posted 5 years agoI have "finished" work on the NPCs and have officially been working on the VSO portion of my pack for a while. So heres another question. Should I release the finished portion of my mod pack and release my VSOs one at a time or all at once?
You might have noticed finished is in quotes. The NPCs are not really done, but their done enough to the point where they won't crash the game and are capable of doing what I wanted them to do. or in this case what I could think of at the time.
What their currently able to do is randomly switch from one vore type to another. An NPC that spawns will choose from 1 of 6 different options such as Oral, anal, or Cock/Unbirth. When an NPC makes a choice, it will stay that way til they either die, digest/release prey, or if the player leaves the planet/game. Vore types like Cock vore and unbirth are controlled mainly by NPCs gender. I'll try and figure out a better method later. But for now, I'll leave that for another day.

Update on SSVM-Addon/SSVM-Addon_Dungeons
Posted 5 years agoRight so wanted to say something real quick. I finally finished the Static Controller LUA for my Static Objects. It has now been reduced to 5 Vore Orbs instead of the original 7 (I removed Big-, Small-, and Micro- and made it so that you only need to hold the Heal Orb for Statics to become Safe. I also added a newer Vore orb call Huge.) I'm now working on the NPC part of my mod pack and have made it so the bellies jiggle (I'm still learning as I'm going so the bellies aren't THAT great.) So in other words... MIGHT take a little longer then I originally planned.
Eeveelution is on pause(For now)
Posted 6 years agoSo to get this out of the way, I'm going to go through all my previous versions of Flat, Animated, and "other" place-able objects to try and upgrade them. The goal is to get the first release ready so I can stop keeping people waiting.
So far I've made a few edits to how my Flat SPOs work( I merged their PNGs together and made it so that the type of Flat SPO they are is based on what item you're holding. These items are 7 Orbs called "Vore Orbs". If you have no orbs in hand, then the Flat SPO will act more like an animated SPO. It's a concept centered around the fact I don't like having multiples of the same Character.)
Then I'll get to work completing and converting the Animated SPOs into VSOs. This way after I finally upload pak 1, I can focus on the Eeveelution VSO and allow myself to feel less guilty about the fact that I can now quote Snake. "Kept ya waiting huh?"

Umbreon VSO question (MAY effect VSO)
Posted 6 years ago*clears throat* Hi.... So I came up with a crazy plan that I would like everyone's thought on.
Basically I've decided to try and create a VSO that works similar to how you'd raise a Chao from Sonic Adventure. You start off with an Eevee and work your way to one of its evolution's by either feeding it items, (like fish, meat, and "other" sources of nutrition) and playing with it, using the pill machine to use a certain stone, or take the classic rpg approach and have it level up in certain environments. This idea has me highly motivated, but that's not the reason I'm asking.
Now the main reason I'm making a journal is because I wanted to get some thoughts on it before I get to far into the project and find out no one likes it.... Should I go for it and see if I can make a merged VSO. Or just keep them as separate VSOs. The outcome won't be any different except for a few things. If I keep them merged then that's less files in the folder, but then there's more code involved. If I separate them then the opposite is true.
So please, let me know if anyone is interested in this idea or not.
