What made you choose the species of your main fursona?

Sego's design has changed a bunch over the years, he USED to be a Sonic recolor (when I was 13 to 16 years of age) before becoming an anthro.

But the thing is, since the time I first made him an anthro, to fairly recently, I've been doing shit to his design without really having any set "species" in mind, so his physical characteristics as of right now have very little to do with any specific animal and more that I think they look cool. But based on his ears and overall seemingly feline appearance, I would say Sego's a caracal:

Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?

Nah he isn't. I consider him more a character I made up than a fursona. And I'm not entirely sure I want to be like him.

But he's probably like stronger than me or something idk. Also he's really soft and fluffy and cuddly but also really fucking grumpy.


Does your fursona have the same personality you have?

I don't think I am the best judge of that somehow but I guess Sego is the one I put more of myself into than my other characters so he MIGHT have a similar personality to mine. At points. But otherwise? No, we don't have the same personality.

Sego's a big temperamental moody dork who's otherwise really passive half the time, a grumpy fatass.


Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?

I'M NOT SURE ACTUALLY. But from what I can tell he does.

I don't exactly have a backstory in mind for Sego yet. I never got around to it. But he has a little sister and I think they live with their mom in some furry cyberpunk thing

I THINK SEGO'S PRETTY MUCH MATED TO DOGGY, who... isn't really based off of anyone I know irl. She's more just designed on the basis of things I find cute in furry I guess

I don't think either Sego or Doggy really care who the other is doing quite as much as you'd expect them to. Sego's a bit reluctant to do things with people who aren't Doggy though.

He and Doggy are my go-to characters for when I wanna do a furry draw. Mostly because they're cute together and they look really soft and cuddly and shit

Yeah I have. And I am roleplaying with him currently. But mostly only with like friends

I consider my characters, Sego included, to be important parts of me, yes.

Her real first name is Aisha.

No, I didn't name her after some Neopets thing (I don't even have a NP) or that one (admittedly awesome) character from Outlaw Star... I hadn't even seen it when I decided to name Doggy that, Aisha just happens to be a real name where I come from.

But you'll probably never see me address her as anything but Doggy most of the time, that's probably because it's the name I'm used to using for her and well, I don't refer to Sego by his real name either.


Yeah, his name's not Sego at all. Not sure if I've bought this up before here but his real first name is Ahmad.


The reason for why their names are like that is a little beyond my grasp at the moment but I think it had to do with me trying to make them more believable or closer to earth/home or something for me (I'm Pakistani, see).


that and I was actually a LITTLE afraid of messign up with writing/depicting characters if I try to give them cultural backgrounds or nationalities that aren't similar to mine when I was deciding their names and shit.

Like how at least one person I've seen has a bunch of Japanese characters in his furry webcomic but they keep having Japanese words inserted into their dialog half the time and it just looks weird and contrived because they're still speaking English for the rest of their dialogue and then they've got gratuitous Japanese sprinkled everywhere I DON'T KNOW.

Okay, that's probably not even a fucking problem since I don't have a story or comic for these fuckbutts and these decisions were made a long ass fucking time ago but I guess I was trying not to be some equivalent of a weeaboo or something idk and anyway I'm sticking to those names even if it seems they're living in a setting that's completely alien.
