Anyone notice that some people act all paranoid about minors, and go out of their way to publicly shame minors for daring to interact with stuff they shouldn't, and it comes off as suspicious as hell? I wonder if they realize somebody who is that paranoid and thinks about minors that much just comes off as having skeletons in their closet. It's like they think if they accuse everyone of this, then surely nobody will suspect them.

Marking your stuff 18+ is fine, it's perfectly acceptable to not want minors to be involved with your NSFW stuff. Unfortunately spaces for NSFW art just have a lot of things and people that aren't really what young, impressionable people should be exposed to, especially when we get to the subject of groomers.

It's just being so preoccupied with minors in the ways stated before sometimes stops being a thing done with good intentions, and it starts just being a way for groomers to cover their ass. Groomers think online communities are the perfect way to do what they do, and they'll try to blend in to do that. It is on us to not be fooled.

If you're concerned with that kind of behavior, you need to look at people and look past what they're doing on a surface level, what performance they may be putting on. I'm not naming names but there are some big name people who clearly have something to hide, and many just decide to look the other way. Don't just assume you're doing a good job keeping wrongdoers out and get complacent.
