GOD did the new year sneak up on me. How is January almost over already?? What about all my projects that I definitely want to do?!
Sometimes I think about trying some fanart on this account but I’m deathly afraid I’ll be crucified for the Great Sin of drawing porn. So far the only ones I’m passionate about are Cult of the Lamb and The Best One In town. Maybe I should draw some Pokémon, those are always safe.

I really want to branch out into writing but I’m still too scared to do anything significant… but I guess I’ll have to start somewhere eventually. It’ll be a nice challenge to write in my non-native language at least.
I have some plans for this winter (it’s been a very bad summer for me) but everything will have to wait until October :( I hope my enthusiasm will last until then…

Greetings. I wish I had some better words to assess the situation at hand, with Dragoneer's recent death and Furaffinity going through a rough patch, but I really don't. I never knew Dragoneer personally, and I've been a member of this community for little more than a year, but what he managed to do is absolutely incredible (FA is one of the few sites where I finally feel good about sharing my art) and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

With that being said, with these recent developments, I do think it's best to not put all my eggs in one basket, so if you like my art and want to find me elsewhere I'll copy paste all the links to my socials below.

Slowly getting back into art. It’s not the energy that’s missing, but the motivation to actually work on this account T.T and the fact that all the projects I had here are slowly dying doesn’t really help.
Sigh. I wish I could do everything at once - studying, drawing, writing - but alas I’m only one person.

This year got hands.
I feel like this is the worst start of the year I had since 2020, but I have no choice but to pull through lol. You’re not getting rid of me that easily.

This year wasn’t the best for me. It started great! But I eventually fell behind with this account and this side of my art in general. This doesn’t mean I’ll abandon it completely! I love making art, with my characters and stories, and while I do have other projects (on other accounts) I’ll always come back here.
I want to say that there’ll be more art in the near future but I honestly can’t guarantee that. This doesn’t mean I will not try tho!

Brain fog is clearing. I’m not okay okay but I can see a light at the end of this tunnel. It’s been a rough couple of weeks lmao drawing still feels like wading through molasses but LESS we’re gonna make it boys

Feeling like I’m not active enough. School starts on Monday and I feel like I haven’t done any art at all. I wish I could draw faster.
Would people be okay with me sharing sketches and “less polished” pieces? I can put them in the scrap folder.

Passed my test! Now I have a whole week to make art before school starts again.

My test is this Friday. I’m quite nervous (I’ve already failed it once T.T) but however it’ll go, it’ll be a while before I can take another test again (I think the next date is around the end of November) so I can always rest a little bit.
University is also starting very soon, which will also take some time away from art, but hey I’m gonna take a Greek archeology course, and that’s exciting.

Tired tired tired. A lot of projects stretching me in all directions, keeping up has become a bit difficult. I’m trying real hard to squeeze in some rest to avoid burnout (like not drawing on weekends, or not trying to finish stuff as soon as I think it up. I’ve got some stuff still in sketch form! I’ll take my sweet time with them). Objectively I know people are not gonna forget about if I stop posting for like two days, I just thrive on attention lmao.

In other news, I’ve been thinking about either opening up commissions or enabling shinies on this page, but that’s still a bit up in the air. I’m afraid that taking commissions right now might take away some time from my studies and I don’t want to take this exam again lol. We’ll see.

Aaaah back from vacation. Camping was fun and the place was nice.
Can't wait to get back into art! I have some things planned that I desperately need to get out before I can move onto better stuff (mainly smut, haha you know me) but with studying and taking care of other things, I fear it'll take a while. I wish I was faster with my art sometimes, but I don't want to risk burnout. I'll take things at my own pace.

Big day today. Managed to do a lot of stuff (studying, chores etc.) even if that didn't leave much time for drawing and stuff. My wifi is still being stupid, which frustrates me to no end, but I have no idea how to fix it ugh.
Now that I managed to upload all my old art on this account I'm a bit afraid of stagnation, but I don't want to burn myself out immediately. This new account is getting me very excited and I that can be dangerous for me lol. Still, I do have some more art planned, I hope I can post at least something before leaving on vacation.

God I can't remember the last time I wrote in an online journal, it feels like I'm back in 2012.
Anyway hi. I'm Heidi. I'm an artist slowly trying to figure out her style, so bear with me I guess. English is not my first language, so these journals will be a perfect opportunity to better that too.

At the moment I'm just posting old drawings I made as far back as November '22, so I can get on par with all of my other socials.
