SALE TIME: A couple things
General | Posted 9 years agoSo I mentioned earlier that I had a few things I wouldn't mind covering for this one since it had been a while since I last did them or they might be topics I never really covered at all:
Deflation (mostly of the pooltoyish or doll variety. Like on it's own or being packed into things. Pooltoys on their own are fine too)
Dollification (Can't go too long without doing these again. This would fit within deflation too if they were the inflatable variety)
Pony stuff (Surprisingly I haven't done anything pony related in a while. They're fun to do even though I don't follow the fandom at all)
Dresses (I wanna do some dresses. pretty straightforward. Forced dressing like this would also be fun: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17514922/ )
Sale rates are as usual: $50 for basic shades and $70 for detailed. You can also get a three part sequence with basic shades for $148. Note me with details if you're interested.
Though keep in mind that it'll be just a little while before I can get on these ones while I finish up some older commissions I owe a few people

More updates
General | Posted 9 years agoThought I'd hop on and let everyone know how things are doing,
I've sufficiently settled in now, I know where everything is, the embarrassment of figuring out the skytrain system is over with, and severe homesickness has passed.
I'll be spending most of my time working on outstanding commissions for the next little while. I'll be doing this until I can at least get all of my long outstanding commissions done and over with and then from there I might start carrying out some bigger plans. Mostly in regards to patreon and finally getting a good system going.
I'll also be making an effort to stream at least once a week. With that number possibly going up once I can get my work schedule in a more desirable place.
I should also get my ass outside some more and actually start working out again too. Sitting on your ass all day isn't the best regiment unfortunately.
And lastly is finances: I've got a decent amount leftover after the move but I may end up having to do a small sale here or there just to make sure I can make rent next month and keep well fed (Don't be surprised if you see sales for this reason from time to time going forward). I may end up doing one soon since
theman got me into the fun of deflation and there's some other stuff I haven't done in a while that I'd like to do; so I may do a sale with a couple of different topics to choose from.
Bit that's all for now, stay cool dudes :v

General | Posted 9 years agoHey guys,
It's been a busy couple of days but I'm finally set up in vancouver and getting to know the lay of the land. I've still got some errands to do before I can get fully into the swing of things again but I should be able to get back to a full work schedule in a few days.
I will say I do miss the family. I didn't really notice it until I woke up this morning and I realized that, yes, the day was free to me now; but there also wasn't much going on now either. I suppose it's adjustment that has to happen eventually.
But hey! I got a complimentary viewing of captain america civil war for the plane ride here....aaaaand boy was that a pretty mixed experience.

Updates: moving (in with a roommate)
General | Posted 9 years agoShit I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted a journal.
Anyway, just updating people on what's been happening lately. I'm going to be moving to Vancouver by the 14th and my work schedule might start getting a little erratic while I continue to sort stuff for packing, getting my budget together for other things I might need and so on. Then after that it might still be a bit unpredictable once I get settled in; I still have to see where everything is, get my room set up and work out a daily schedule. So I might end up giving myself a week to get myself sorted once I get there if that's okay with everyone.
I'll also be spending this weekend with some folks so I won't be able to get any work done during that time.
BUUUUUUUUUUUT after everything is said and done I should have a much more predictable schedule to work with and I should be able to get a more consistent posting pace going again. I'm both excited and nervous about all this :'3

Maid pinup sale
General | Posted 9 years agoAfter having fun with this recent pic and seeing all the really positive feedback on it:http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20514257/ I thought I'd do a sale for maid outfits and do some fashion-focused pics like it. Along with some outfitting and TG for those who might be interested in a sequence.
Sale rates are as usual: $50 for basic shades and $70 for detailed. You can also get a three part sequence with basic shades for $148. Note me with details if you're interested.
I've still got a few drone pics from the previous sale to finish up but once those are done I'll be working on any maid pics next.

General | Posted 9 years agoUpdates, slow week
General | Posted 9 years agoHey guys,
I wanted to apologize for the somewhat slow posting over the past week and a half. Absolutely everyone has been in the house and it's been nigh impossible to find quiet time let alone the mental energy to use it once everyone has gone to sleep. Everyone is gonna be out of the house again come monday but I can't promise a ton of work getting done over the next couple days while they're still around. After that though I'll be working at posting a lot more consistently over the next month while I save up for the move I had talked about previously. I was thinking about doing a molding tf sale like the braixen pic I did a little while ago since I had fun with it and everyone seemed to like the concept a lot. But I won't be doing that until I get the drone pics from the previous sale done as well as some other older pics I've owed a few people for too long.
That aside? I spent way more than I'm proud of mentioning on the steam sale. Ironically the games I got the most enjoyment from were games that weren't even that discounted like Forced: showdown (I recommend it by the way). Buuuuut I suppose that's the mentality. Lots of games you only kinda want but you figure you might as well get them while they're so cheap and you end up spending a lot in the longrun anyway.

Fuuuuck it's hot
General | Posted 9 years agoWe seriously haven't had a heat wave like this in years. I might just stay cooked up in the house until this passes -_-
Buuuut while I'm here I'll give a general update:
Work's been coming along slow but sure. I've been getting a weird urge to do some droneification stuff lately. I'll be finishing up the last of the rpg kink class stuff and then I'll put up a sale for that particular theme. Maybe I'll think up a particular concept to frame it all around by then too.

E3's comin'
General | Posted 9 years agowoopwoop, who’s ready to have all their posts drowned out for the next few days?
In all seriousness, I’m excited. Not for anything genuine or good, but for the theatrics. I think a friend of mine put it best when they said E3′s best enjoyed like a wrestling match. It’s all fake but it’s fun to watch either way.
And come to think of it, I'll have to schedule my work accordingly if I'm going to be watching everything. Maybe focus on single character pics? I'll have to see.

updates + sissy mini sale
General | Posted 9 years agoHey guys,
Dropping a couple general updates for you doods:
Moving
So I was recently offered to share a suite in Vancouver with a friend for a pretty good price. Since finding a place is a bit difficult as someone who's self employed I decided I would take them up on the offer. Only problem is that I have until the end of august to sort it out and I have to save for the flight, first and last, and a few basic things like food and such. So I've decided I'll be focusing more on getting comms done consistently and diligently going forward. Which leads me to my next topic:
patreon
*sigh* I really hate to sound like a broken record at this point but sadly I'll have to delay patreon plans once again. This is due to how long the format is still going to take to get off the ground. Time I don't really have right now given my recent offer. Though I still have plans to get it going before fall at the very latest, for now, patreon is going to stay as a tipjar.
Sissy mini sale
Unfortunately I won't be having any big sale this week since I'm still working on pokesuit stuff from the previous sale. But I have been getting the weird urge to do some general sissification as of late, so I'll be taking one or two on at sale price just for something to break and have some fun with. Sissification is pretty open. TG, pretty pink princess, maids, dolls, so forth. Whatever's pretty and girly and whatever victims might befall such fates. Sale rates are as usual: $50 for basic shades and $70 for detailed. You can also get a three part sequence with basic shades for $148.
Vidga games
For the sake of easing up on the businesstalk, I've been getting up to quite a bit of overwatch lately. I've had way more friends actually added to battle.net than I ever have before :'3. I've personally been liking it quite a bit. I do see a lot of balance tweaking that could be done to make certain heroes less stressful to deal with but I don't think any of them are as OP as people say. Everyone still has their counters and ways to get around their kit. I feel part of what doesn't help this issue is that there's no team scrambling like in TF2. Though it's important for the sake of playing with teams and not suddenly getting randomly scrambled around into different teams. I could see a dedicated team grouping mode in the future or maybe even team building queues like what League introduced lately. I know the latter option would let you practice whatever characters you want rather than being forced to play something else cuz everyone else refuses to.
Also: Loot boxes. Are they bad? Yeah, I always find the trend of paying untold amounts of cash for imaginary rarity and value to be pretty dumb. Though I feel it's at least less bad than other systems like it. There's no market so there's no fear of flooding any kind of market with rarer items so they tend to drop a bit more often (at least for me) and you get cash from dupe drops to buy other specific things you actually want. Plus the longer you play the more dupes you get and thus the more cash you get. If there's any kind of real good I can see coming from this system it would be that I hope we get new heroes and maps for free in the coming years to compensate for the millions we're already gonna blow on the shit spray lottery.
Wow that's a lot of words, I hope separating them into categories made it a bit easier to read through. Take care for now, doods.

Last call for pokesuits and spritification
General | Posted 9 years agoHey guys, I'm gonna be ending this particular sale soon so I'm throwing this out as a last call. After that I'll be taking some time to work on these since I got quite a surprising amount of people who were interested in this one and I'll need a while to finish them all.
You can read up on the sale journal here:

Sale time: Pokesuits and spritification!
General | Posted 9 years agoHello again, dudes. So some things are in motion over here. I've starting saving up to move into my own place by the end of the year and I've also started what will be my first comic mini series for patreon. I'll be working on getting a preview for it all done and ready to show by the end of the month. But that aside, here's the current sale:
After doing this pic here a few days ago: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20050337/ I thought I would do a few more pokesuit pics and also offer a special for the same spritification theme since my first crack at pixel art went fairly well and turned out to be quite fun.
Sale rates are as usual: $50 for basic shades and $70 for detailed. You can also get a three part sequence with basic shades for $148. You can also add a spritification sequence to either a single pic or a sequence for an additional $30 (this will be increased to $50 for any sprites styled after the fourth and fifth gen games due to their more complex styles). You can also specify the generation of pokemon game it's styled after (with exception to the 3D games) as well as the location they end up in at the end of the sequence (This must be one that exists within the games, however) If you're interested you can drop me a note with the usual info and we can discuss the details from there.

Wow look at all those alts + notice to commissioners
General | Posted 9 years agoDamn, I got a huge influx of watchers that appear to be alt accounts after their original accounts became inaccessible due to ancient emails. Seems that's a more widespread problem than I thought.
Also, I read over some commission worker tips from
pmoss and they made the suggestion of working with emails to communicate rather than the notes system. Which might actually be a good idea to adopt, at least in the case of FA users. So to those of you who have commissioned work from me or who are frequent commissioners I'd suggest throwing me your contact email over note so I can make a list in case I need to contact anybody in the event of further FA bedshitting.

FA's back but how bout them weasyls?
General | Posted 9 years agoWelp, FA's back in working order for the time being. I took the liberty of getting my weasyl account back in working order while FA was down and I think I'll try to keep it up and running from now on. I'd really recommend people use it a bit more often since I find it to be a generally smoother experience compared to FA. Plus you can find my account here if you're interested: https://www.weasyl.com/~helixjack
Sale time: Doll stuff + DOOM (unrelated)
General | Posted 9 years agoIt's sale time once again and for this week I thought I'd make a return to stuff pertaining to lovedolls. I hadn't done them in a while; mostly due to it showing up so much that I was burning both my audience and myself out on the subject. So I thought now was the time to come back to the subject and do a few.
Sale rates are as usual: $50 for basic shades and $70 for detailed. You can also get a three part sequence with basic shades for $148. If you're interested you can drop me a note with the usual info.
Also, entirely unrelated but I didn't want to journal flood people: DOOOOOM (4). I no lifed the campaign yesterday and I was surprised with how solid it came out. Bethesda was so weird about marketing it that I was afraid it would come out crappy but I was pleasantly surprised instead. Spoilers: It DLC baits pretty hard by the end, however, which I really didn't like. But it was still a long enough campaign and if it means more of this game then I'm certainly down.

Patreon and raffles
General | Posted 9 years agoSo I was thinking over this some more recently,
I don't know if you read my previous journal regarding patreon but I decided I was going to switch out the monthly theme format with something else simply due to the lacking numbers and overall interest required to make such a thing work. The biggest idea that I would love to do is raffles for comms in it's stead. I like the idea since it's something I can give to every patron that won't inflate out of control in the work required department. But due to raffles technically counting as gambling they don't allow it on patreon. I've even read that DA doesn't like it either.
It's odd, since I don't really consider raffles of this nature to be close to other forms of gambling in terms of being addictive or amoral. So I've been thinking over other possible alternatives or ways to circumvent the situation

Sale time: RPG kink classes + patreon change
General | Posted 9 years agoSale:
I thiiiink I can maybe get back to doing these on a regular basis again for the next little while. I was dabbling with the idea of RPG classes and gear based around various kinks. Like for example: a "succubi's amulet" and a "Corset of curvature" could give a person the dominant intent of a succubus and a feminine figure to match. The way I could see this working for sequences would be to show a sort of stat progress from low level or even level 1 to endgame gear and experience. These would be presented like stat sheets with the character shown to the side. With text blocks pointing out the effect of each piece of gear the character is wearing. The character could also have a class. Like, for example, a bondage knight or a sissmage. This concept is open to pretty much any kink so I would be open to discussing possible ideas if somebody was interested in the framing but lacked an idea for it.
Anyway, the sale rates are $50 for basic shades and $70 for detailed. You can also get a three part sequence with basic shades for $148. If you're interested you can drop me a note with the usual info.
Patreon:
So the major theme I was working with for the past few months now was the "monthly theme" backer tier. Where each month I selected a couple pop culture characters for me to potentially draw and backers would vote on which one they wanted. The problem in this was the kind of obvious: I just don't have enough backers. Polls would have very few voters or sometimes no votes at all. That's why I was thinking of simply doing a monthly raffle for a free comm, at least for the time being. Just as a way of having something that worked regardless of how many backers I had since I already have enough to make something like that work, while polls usually need at least a hundred people involved to make it work. This would mostly be temporary until I do what I actually have planned for the patreon and I can get a decent following going. Lemme know what you guys think.
That's all for now, as usual, stay beautiful :3

The character could also have a class. Like, for example, a bondage knight or a sissmage. This concept is open to pretty much any kink so I would be open to discussing possible ideas if somebody was interested in the framing but lacked an idea for it.
Anyway, the sale rates are $50 for basic shades and $70 for detailed. You can also get a three part sequence with basic shades for $148. If you're interested you can drop me a note with the usual info.

That's all for now, as usual, stay beautiful :3
woah fuck

You've all made a terrible mistake, I'm a horrible role model.

General | Posted 9 years agoSorry for the lack of posting over the past few days. My sleep schedule is a mess and I've been trying to stay awake until a decent time to get it in proper order again. I should be okay by tomorrow though.
