What is a Changeling
A changeling is a creature from a different dimension from ours. They have existed for eons longer then our universe is old (our universe is approx. 13.2 billion years old). The race has learned to master and control any form of energy or magic, and they are extremely adept at combat; and yet are an extremely peaceful race. Changelings can be separated into 2 distinct classes: the warrior mages, or Suna (fight with weapons, but mainly use magic/energy power), and the knight warriors, or Kanin (fight with raw power and rarely use magic). Every changeling, regardless of class, has some telepathic and telekinetic abilities. While some are more developed then others, most everyone is at least able to move small objects around by forming their energy and mind together.
Description without armor
Head
Changelings are bipedal creatures that have many of the same characteristics of humans. The head is the most different from that of a human, but the rest of the body has its differences as well. The hair on the changeling can be any color in the visible light spectrum, and is only kept that color on the face, all other hair on the body is a darker color for males, and lighter for females. From between the eyebrows come cilla, flesh like branches that are VERY dexterous, and that are not attached to the face except for the base between the eyebrows. They are so dexterous that they are sometimes used as extra digits to hold things in place or hold things up. They are usually multicolored, but it is not rare to see mono color cilla on a few people. Changelings are born with 4 cilla, 1 that goes above the brows around the head on either side and 1 that goes under the eyes around the head on either side, but more grow in as the changeling grows up. There can be up to 8 cilla on one changeling’s head. The cilla lay across the face and around the head till they meet in the middle of the back of the head where they usually wrap around each other to hold in place. Each cilla is slightly stretchable, but not that much, and are only the length needed to go around the side of the head to meet in the back with the other cilla. Cilla never pass over anything on the face, they always go around the mouth, nose, eyes and such, but they do pass over the ears. The ears on a changeling are more attached to the head, mainly around the lobe and halfway up the ear, and draw back to the head when the cilla are over them, other then that they look and function just as human ears do. The nose is similar to a human’s, but it is flatter and has 2 gill slits, one on either side of the nose, apart from the 2 nostrils of a human. The eyes are more oblong then a human’s, and the pupil is like that of a cat, but on its side instead of vertical. The iris is also a completely different color then anything else on the body, and depends on the armor that is being worn, but there is a base color that is usually different from the armors they have.
Upper Body
The upper body of a changeling is almost identical to that of a human, except for the many marks and birthmarks that are associated with the elements that they control. On the back of the right wrist is the symbol of the changeling, and up the left arm are the symbols for the armors they have collected, their natural element on the back of their left hand. The arms are just like a human, but the fingers have one more joint and are a little longer then that of a normal human. On the right shoulder is the symbol of what class the changeling is, either Suna or Kanin. Off the back of each shoulder protrudes a short spike, smooth on males, and serrated on females. The elbows also have spikes, but are much shorter and smooth on both genders. The rest of the upper body is similar to that of a normal human.
Lower Body
The lower body of a changeling is more different then similar to that of a human’s. The legs are very defined, more so in females then in males, but the males have tougher skin. The feet have 4 toes on the front, each with a relative size claw, and one more stronger toe/claw coming out of the heel, and the foot can be very prehensile. On the knees are plates of steel like armor that integrates with the bone itself, and this is natural. There is a tail that is dexterous, but is very weak and is mainly used for balance. The tail is only about a foot+ long, and has a small claw/spike that comes out the end of it. The skin over the entire body is the color of a tan human, with hard, smooth areas around the eyebrows and the elbows and knees.
Lifestyle and General History
The changelings live on the planet Conrak in a perpendicular universe in a different dimension. Conrak is roughly twice the size of the moon of earth. Each changeling has an apparent infinite lifespan, but they are mortal. Battle and disease are the only ways that a changeling can die; they do not die naturally from age any longer. Families are also only 2 generations, there are no grandparents or grandchildren. Once a couple has their own children, they separate with their genetic parents and move on. Sibling relations, however, are kept, so there are cousins and nieces/nephews and aunts/uncles. The governing body is a council consisted of one delegate from every city over the entire planet, and one king/queen leads the council. The ruling family does not have complete control over the entire planet, but they are respected and revered for their duties. Each ruling family is able to choose one family that will be their guardians, but Chris’s genetic family has been chosen every time for a few million millennia. The way of life is like that of ancient Japan, respectful and dignified, and there is no fighting unless there is a war against the planet or people are in training. There have been a few uprisings, but they have been swiftly put down because the entire population is trained to fight, not just the males, from birth, so a child is a formidable fighter. Around the planet there are many armor masters that will train others in how to fully harness their armor’s full potential. There are also 2 additional armors that are bound armors; armors that only one person has and disappears when they die, and they are called the armor(s) of omen. The 2 armors are the Armor of Sin (Dragon’s Wrath), and the Armor of Blessing (Angel’s Wing). They signify that something either horrible or great will happen to the entire race. So far there have been 3 Sins and 1 blessing, each of the Sins being a greatly reduced population of the planet, and the blessing was that they won the Great War in their galaxy. The last Sin armor, the one that the last changeling prince had, signified the annihilation of the race, leaving Chris, his father Dekar, and the last changeling prince (he was exiled to earth by his parents because he was born with the Sin Armor) as the only known survivors. The main enemy that they Changelings were constantly fighting was the Death entity. It always came back a few hundred years after being killed, and Chris’s ancestors were usually the ones who killed it. Unfortunately, the new Death entity was somehow able to posses Dekar, and was able to live undetected after Dekar had supposedly killed it. During a time of peace, the Death entity took control over Dekar’s body and killed off the entire race, except for Chris who was on a different planet studying under the one revival master. When he returned home with the master, a fight ensued between Dekar, the master, and Chris. Dekar was able to kill the master, and Chris was only able to defeat his father because the true Dekar was able to restrain the Death entity a little bit. Not being able to kill his own father, Chris banished him from this dimension. Not having enough power, and not having all of the armors, Chris used what power he had and put the entire planet in a stasis field, so that it could not be attacked nor would the bodies be destroyed. After learning that Dekar was alive and well, and killing off planet after planet in this dimension, Chris set out to finally kill his father. Along the way, he has collected all of the armors and found the last changeling prince, Josh Firestalker, and they now look for Dekar together.
Architecture
The planet Conrak is somewhat alive, in that some the natural materials found there can form itself, and can be manipulated into buildings and such. The Mara, living part of the planet, is essential in buildings and cities. Using normal material (stone/wood/ect..) as a base and main structure, the Mara will fill and form the rest of the building, and if molded properly, will form what the designer intended. If left to its own design, the Mara would fill out the form of the building, and add some unnatural forms to the building, some of which can be stunning. The Mara ‘eats’ by absorbing nutrients and minerals from the rain and from insects that it captures, which is an effective insect control.

Chris’s description:
Changelings have the ability to alter their natural form so that they look like a species that live on the planet so they will be able to blend in and not draw that much suspicion to themselves. They cannot, however, completely transform into the other species, but they can get awfully close. Chris’s human form is no exception, but he was able to get it close enough that he just kind of looks a little different then anyone else, but someone would have to look closer at him to realize what’s different. Chris’s skin is a somewhat light tannish color, but somewhat thicker and rougher then most normal human skin. His hair is mid-length all over except for the back of the neck where it is short, but it is all swept back for a constant in-the-wind kind of look, though it tends to end up just looking scruffy and unkempt. The only parts that aren’t swept back are two groups of long hair that hang down either side of the face, but keep a good 4 inches in front of the face itself. His hair color is crimson with numerous streaks of black through out it. The streaks are natural and come from the root of the hair at numerous places along the scalp, so it is not a dye. His eyes are the most different then anything else, as his iris and pupil are not circular, but rather elongated, kind of like a cat’s, except horizontal with the pupil running off the side of the eye with the iris so it looks like there is a horizontal gap in the middle of the eye where the pupil is. The iris is usually silver, but changes in battle to the color of the element he is currently using, when not in combat. The white of the eyes in a human is also changed to a blood red. There is a vertical jagged scar over the left eye and eyebrow, remnants of the fight with his father that will never go away no matter what form he is in. The rest of the face looks like that of a human’s with the exception of a little outgrowth where the base of where the cilla would be in his natural form (between the eyebrows but lower, almost between the eyes). The growth is abnormally shaped, like random scar tissue, and is somewhat darker then the rest of his skin, so it looks like a weird mole or a birthmark, but the growth is not more then a few millimeters above the skin. There is also one arched scar going from just over the growth to under the right hairline on the side of his head. Other then those main differences, Chris looks more or less like a normal human.

On his chest he has many scars, but 3 main ones, all from his fights with Dekar in their human form. The Main scar is in the shape of an X, the area where they are crossed looking like there was a large gaping scar. The two parts to the X look a little different from each other, like they were given at different times. The rest of his torso is scattered with numerous scars, down his back and only a few on his legs and arms. Not all were given by Dekar, but most of them were. On his back is the same X shaped scar with the gaping scar at the cross. This is where the blade exited the body, having gone through his entire chest, 3 different final blows from Dekar that would have killed him if not for friends and his healing armor’s powers.
Chris’s clothing consists of a white sleeveless baggy shirt, overcoat/cloak thing that is black on the outside but red on the inside. It’s made of a very breathable material that does not let wind or water through. His pants are a really baggy multi layered pant, a base pant that’s loose fitting but very comfortable, another layer that does not fully surround the leg, instead it’s more of two flaps on either side of a leg, and the third (top) layer is a smaller strip that stops about halfway up the shin. The top layer is about 4 inches wide black denim with intricate designs along the lower half of it. The middle layer is 5 inches wide white denim-type material with fewer patterns. The pant itself is a red pant made of the same cloth as that of the overcoat/cloak. He has a small pouch on his right side that looks as if its been made from some animal’s fur and skin that contains his gem of souls and the vial of phoenix tears. Just above his right wrist he has the mark of the changelings, which he hides with a wide tri-leather bracelet. He also wears 4 rings on his right hand, one on his index, middle, and ring finger, and then another one on the second knuckle of the ring finger. The only other jewelry Chris wears is a pendant around his neck that was a family heirloom, but usually keeps it under his shirt. He has gotten a pair of sunglasses to hide his eyes from everyone because it used to attract too much attention to himself. He carries no visible weapons, as he merely forms them when he needs them, but his Dragon’s tooth dagger is hidden under the cloak behind his back on his pants belt, along with the Soul Cross blade.
