Hey everyone! Once again, I haven't been posting much. One reason is I'm having a hard time drawing anything that I really like. I've had a rough couple of months mentally, including two bad episodes. I've started taking medication for depression and anxiety though, I think it's been about a month or something since I started taking them. I haven't been feeling as bad, and I think I'm doing better at focusing less on bad thoughts. Maybe.

The other reason is that I'm probably gonna move accounts unless we get the ability to change our usernames and I've been trying to think of the New Branding. It's taking a while lol. I have a hard time coming up with something that I won't change my mind on in a couple of years. Maybe this time, haha.

I've been wondering if I should stick to this account since name changes will happen eventually or if I should just move accounts anyway.

I guess if name changes are gonna happen at some point, it makes sense to stick with this account. Hm.

I'm close to just making a new account since we still can't change our usernames here. It's just bothering me a lot!!!

Heyyy, it's my birthday today! I'm 29 now. Wild.

I have a day.. sorta planned???!! A friend and I are going to the cat cafe and then to lunch (where I get a free birthday meal lol) and uhh I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE UNTIL MY BIRTHDAY DINNER?? It's Sunday, so not a whole lot is open... I'll think of something!!

So, I've got my laptop back. It's been cleaned out, tested and, so far, working.

While it's working for now, I've been told it might not work that well. I think it has slowed down, but so far nothing too bad. Because the hard drive was in the area of the spill, it's been recommended it be replaced, as well as the SSD to improve its speed and all that. Basically, it may stop working properly a lot sooner.

Pretty much all of my files are on external hard drives, so I'm not worried about losing anything like that. It's just a pain that this all happened and now things may have to be replaced sooner than anticipated and I'm not sure if it's worth it to replace things over getting a new laptop. We'll see when it all goes down I guess.

Edit: My laptop blue screened and now it won't boot up again, so I was right not to get too excited hahahahaha okay then

So, after not booting up for a day after spilling my drink on it, my laptop is working again?? Good! But also... what if it doesn't boot up next time?? I'm definitely going to be cautiously optimistic about this, I mean, it did have liquid spilt on it.

God, I have such bad luck with laptops, but this time it's actually my fault that it's fucked lol.

So my dumbass spilt my drink on my laptop. I didn't even knock it over! I somehow managed to spill it as I was picking it up, but it all happened so fast I don't actually remember how I did that.

So yeah. Laptop won't boot up. Keeps saying "missing operating system" (which it's done occasionally on start up, but it was always fine after a restart) and now it's a different message entirely. I think my laptop was slowly heading toward doing something like this and accidentally spilling liquid on it pushed it over the edge.

Uhhh. Yeah. Main laptop is not working. I'm using my Surface right now, so I'm glad I have something else to use and I can still draw digitally. It just really sucks that this has happened!! Because I'm a dumbass!! I'm gonna take it to a repair shop, but I'm not too keen on paying 100+ when I'm gonna be paying for a trip to Melbourne soon. That's even if it can be fixed at all. Oof. This weekend has really sucked.

Anyway. That's what's happening right now.

I'm in Melbourne for Supanova and I'm pretty excited about it, especially since I thought I wasn't going to be able to go this year! I'm really looking forward to going with my friends, plus I'll get to see a friend who lives here as well! Nice!!

ANYWAY uhh, I've made the decision to have my hellhound fursona be an altsona and my fox fursona will be my only main fursona (for now anyway lol). I need to make a new ID... and commission someone for a new icon....

It's a pity we can't change usernames here, because I want to change it to reflect my username changes on other sites. I don't feel like making a third account because of a name change fjslfjslfslfks.... oh well.

I'm thinking about taking commissions again. I haven't done any for years because I felt like I was no longer able to complete them in a reasonable amount of time due to my mental health and increasing tiredness.

But I feel like I could get small comms done now that I've got my Surface, as it gives me more freedom to draw wherever as well as making drawing more?? comfortable??

I'd only take chibi comms at the moment because I think I'd be able to manage them better.

Aaaanyway, let me know if you're interested, perhaps? I can't guarantee I will open them for sure right now, but it's definitely something I'm interested in doing.

I can't believe 2018 is over and 2019 is here???? what is this

Anyway, I don't really have much in the way of New Year's resolutions since I'm no good at keeping them, but I really hope I'm able to get more art finished! It's been challenging to finish a lot of art in the last few years, but maybe this year will be better!

SOOO I've been wanting a screen tablet for so, SO long.... Ever since I heard of Cintiqs, tbh!! That's a long time, like 10+ years ago??? I had intended on getting one for years, but one of my irl friends got herself a Surface Pro for art and other things earlier in the year and honestly sold me on it.

So, I was able to buy one yesterday during the end of year sales. It's very nice and it's great having a mini laptop as well as a screen tablet! It'll be great for the small trips to Melbourne I take for conventions and other little trips like that!

It feels real nice to draw on??? I love it, though I'm still getting used to it. There's.... one slight issue.... pen pressure just won't work in SAI. At least not in SAI 1. No problems with SAI 2! Works wonderfully! But I don't have the full version yet. But apparently I need to just?? upgrade SAI 1's license to get the full version of SAI 2?? I'll have to look into that since I love working in SAI so much. But for now, I decided I'd try out Krita and it's working quite nicely, though I'm still figuring it out! Miss using SAI though, so I'll probably still use Intuos on my laptop as well until I can work this SAI 2 thing out. Though, I was still gonna use my Intuos anyway.

UM YEAH!! I don't know when I'll actually finish a drawing on the Surface, since I'm still just doodling and trying to get used to it, haha.

I spent the afternoon at my grandmother's for a family Christmas lunch. Lunch was great, but I never enjoy family gatherings since no one shares my interests and being asked what I'm doing/what my job is sucks because I don't have one. Please don't remind me of my uselessness lol

Oh, and my internet has been down all day and I'm typing this journal up on my galaxy tab using my phone's moblie data. Fantastic.

I got some nice gifts though. That's a good thing, at least!

YEAH HELLO it's my birthday today! I'm 28 now. Wild.

I've got a nice day planned! Lunch with my girlfriend then we go to the cat café to spend time with some lovely cats! Then, because Pokémon Go's Community Day is also today, we're gonna do a bit of shiny Chikorita hunting! Then dinner with my gf as well as our friends and WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT, the next episode of My Hero Academia airs tonight, so I GET TO WATCH THAT TOO!! And it's an episode I'm really excited for!

Hopefully it all goes well!!!!

Well, I've been sick since Friday and it hasn't been great, aha. It's not really too bad, just a cold, but it's left me feeling rather drained and I have even less energy than usual. Totally ruined my motivation for the remainder of Art Fight too .

So, I'm not suffering too much, but still not feeling really great. My sore throat is nearly gone at least. Maybe I'll be able to sleep better tonight (even though I rarely sleep well to begin with).

Hey, I have my laptop back! It now has the home edition of Win10 so I hope I don't have any more issues. My luck with laptops isn't the best...

Anyway, I'm in the process of reinstalling everything and uh, hopefully nothing goes wrong with that?? lol

I've finally put my laptop in to have the home edition of Win10 installed onto it (it came installed with the enterprise edition for some reason and I can't activate it). I don't know how long I'll be without it, but hopefully it's not too long!

I'm on my Galaxy tablet for now, so I'll still be able to respond to comments and such!

Remember how my external hard drive decided that working properly was no longer an option and needed to be reformatted, which would have resulted in losing all of my files, including all of my art from 2017????

WELL, I finally took it to a little computer shop that I go to, as they do repairs and such, and THEY RECOVERED EVERYTHING!!! I’M SO RELIEVED!!!!

The hard drive was giving some weird error, but none of my files were harmed. I’m SO HAPPY that they were able to save everything.

Hopefully this one will be better! Maybe I'll finally get a job and be able to live with my girlfriend. Maybe I'll finally open commissions again.
