I mean this with genuine intent to understand, as someone who habitually tags everything I post very specifically because I grew up using AO3- What is the actual problem with having to add 3 tags to your posts? To me, it's no different than having to select a rating- It doesn't take that long and it helps people identify your stuff. I get that it's annoying but it seems like a contentious topic and I'd like to understand why
