March already?
General | Posted 11 years agoOf course it's March. Means it only took... uh... August, September, October... *counts months*
Well, forever, anyway. Got a new job doing cable for ... well... Time Warner. *clears throat* I dun like the company, but the work itself is kinda rewarding. I've managed to get in contact with a networking company on the side, and am learning how to data center. The two pair nicely. ;D
Truck's been fixed with tender loving care, although the windshield and grill could stand to be replaced, and overall things are looking up. Put the finishing touches on Skittles 2.0, and found I really... am not super psyched to fursuit in Texas. x'D Ah, well. She'll be put to use in some YouTube videos. There's a small group of fuzzy car enthusiasts which might enjoy that, I dunno. lol
Art-ish stuff will continue to be few and far between - I'm working Mon-Sat most weeks, piling up money to try and buy a house with my Mr. Burrito. c: Just figured I'd update the journal thing real quick. All's great, wishes of happiness and belly rubs to all you furbags! :D

WHEE, LEMONS! 8'D
General | Posted 11 years agoAll commissioners are all caught up work-wise, just waiting on payments to start shipping things out and order materials for add-on parts. c: (Some of them have wished to remain private until they get a chance to debut their new things. :P
In other news, holy crap. Phone died. Something about not updating while my phone is in USB mode. All things considered, not a big deal - Sprint was nice enough to bump up and buff up my 2-year contract phone thing, so... new phone! :D Camera is muuuch better, and I'll show some evidence of that promptly. x'D (Take THAT, lemons!)
Also, just for the sake of "oh hell." Arthur's gotten into another accident! *I would cry, but... at this point, it's just gotten humorous.* So we are officially two cars down. Seriously, people in San Antonio need to learn the hell how to drive. The car is almost back up to perfect snuff, old beast that she is - and the truck. Well. Poor truck. I was all excited to do some short YouTube videos for furry car maintenance. You know. Because Skittles is decidedly a mechanic. So, I guess... we'll be starting those with a video on what to check after an accident. Not happy about this, anyone who's talked to me for any length knows I am proud of that little truck, but once again - LEMONS. Don't worry, I won't be doing any pity commissions, lol. Money's tight, but not so tight I can't pay da bills. But if it makes you feel better, all money earned from fursuits is being poured into the truck. He will rise again~! (Focus was all up on the truck because everyone in the accident was okay. Clean bill of health for all involved. I'm not THAT heartless. We took care of them first. :P ) Furry mechanic. Lemonade.
As far as commissions are concerned, I am always going to be open for quotes. Basic heads are hovering right around the $215 mark - these include resin teeth, eyes, three colors of fur, airbrushing, all that nonsense stitched together with upholstery thread. I'm not super amazing, but if I stitch two things together, they stay stitched. lol. Accessories like tails and paws and things are cheaper - but it's much easier for me to make them if I am also building you a head. c: Saves me the trouble of trying to match fur. If you've got an idea, just shoot me a PM.
So, until I get some more money from ya'll - personal projects. lol Thinking maybe a parakeet. Or some Pokemon. Maybe a Wartortle? Wartortle partial would be badass. Badger will become a thing when the fur arrives. :P WHEEEE!

Oh Myyy - Dangit Surge. Stop being Appealing.
General | Posted 11 years agoI didn't realize Surge would be so popular. I've gotten quite a few questions about him, and requests for quotes on full partials and the like. Most of these fall into the category of "I'm going to save up the money! 8D" Which is awesome, if a bit unpredictable. *chuckle*
I'll be working on one of these at a time until I've really got the feel for it. Currently, I've got one person who sounds like they're ready ATM, and two or three who are in that 'eventually' category. Double neat. Until that first commission is official, though - I'm going to be making a flaming sergal butt partial. White and orange with marks of red - and when he's done, he'll be going onto FurBuy. He needs a naaaaame. |D Oddly enough, he's gonna be built from the floor up. So feet, then tail, then hands, then face. Because that seems like a a logical way to fail.
Sergals. So many sergals. >>

What now?
General | Posted 11 years agoWelp, I find myself in Sunny San Antonio TX, now. It's hot here, but I'm on a furry kick. To cope, I've been making larp-style masks for the locals. (Not like I don't have the fur scraps to work with) They breathe nice, and are soft and squishy, so that's a plus. Just imagine a masquerade mask, or something along the lines of Magpieb0nes's work (only crappier, because she's a fantastic artist and I am merely marginal.)
Taking pictures tomorrow, because it's supposed to be pretty outside. And since I'm done hiding on the dark side of the moon, that'll be a thing. Not doing commissions, because EEEE, that can go wrong fast; BUT if you see one that you like, well. Feel free to buy the darn things. I seem to have... 7 of them, and I really don't need all these creepy disembodied faces floating around. Not sure about 'fair price', though. Meh.
Actually, I think that's what I'm gonna do going forward. Just... make things. And FurBuy them away. Probably not a huge market for fur-faces, but it'll clear out the house.
--((http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5959740/))--
Just covering my bases, because it's been forever and I forget things - have you commissioned me and not gotten your thing? This would only apply to things not paid through PayPal; I've gotten those taken care of. Anyway, if so, PM me. Offering refunds or double art for digital commissions not yet done.

What Happened?
General | Posted 11 years agoLet the record show I royally screwed the pooch. That said, oi. I think (I hope - correct me if I've missed someone) that I've caught up with promises.
*clears throat* So, what happened? Almost two years back, I got the funny notion that I was gonna be super craft-productive and crank out piles of fursuit bits, art, and other various things. Why? Because everyone and their mother was becoming a "Fur Studio" and I had just become unemployed. In my mind non-employment meant tons of free time for crafting. Yay! Only problem (or at least, perceived problem) was that I was lacking in a portfolio. To remedy this, I calculated the very minimum cost of materials and offered to build cheap, cheap things for people until I had some fur-cred. (EG, this stroke: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3855542/)
I'm totally capable of building pretty-ish, sturdy stuff. This is a fact. I'm also totally capable of insane mood swings and cloistering the hell up when things go wrong.
And oh boy, things went south fast. I had two takers on the fursuit heads, and a few more for tails, ears, etc. All of the commissioners were amazing and paid up-front, and promptly. Sketches were passed back and forth, concepts, ideas, construction notes, things you would expect for this type of work. I was so hyped, things were awesome. All but $50 of the commissions ended up going to Fabric.com for fur, and the other 50 got dumped into some extra resin supplies.
Anyone who's messed around with resin can probably see exactly where this is going. I'm not fantastic at plastic, and was being ambitious - that pretty much ended up biting me in the ass. I underestimated how much of everything I needed - molds were made improperly and fell apart (one even bonded to the sculpy. Ha. Funny only in hindsight.) I wasn't going for anything super elaborate, just some spikes for one of the tails and some teeth for masks. Long story short, resin was a no-no. I poured that first fifty dollars down the drain, and tried to fix it with another hundred from my own pocket. I was able to finish the spiked tail, but that ended up being several months late.
About this time, we moved. Arthur was having a hard time paying the rent and supporting my unworking self. Got a much cheaper place and ended up in the deepest, saddest depression spike I've ever experienced. That's about the time I turned myself off, and actually did nothing related to the remaining commissions. I wanted to apologize for the delay, but was tired of mentioning delays. Was a bit afraid that people would be asking for their money back (all told, something like $275 in remaining commissions. Three projects.)
That would have been a good way to resolve the issue, but I'd already spent that money on fur. We didn't have anything in the bank, and Art was stressed out enough without this additional problem. It just pretty much sucked - probably most for the commissioners with nothing but some digital sketches of their commission.
And that's pretty much what happened. I fell into that funk for 6 damn months. Like, stay in the house, bundled under a blanket, not having the energy to move, funk. Thinking about it just made it worse until... well, until I hit another mood swing, picked myself up by the ass and got a job. A small part-time job, but it at least lowered Art's stress level considerably. I quietly contacted the commissioners one at a time, when I had enough money in the bank to issue a refund if it was desired. One took the refund - the other two have been patient as HELL.
So here we are. I've put the finishing touches on the last commission, a sergal head. It's chilling on my computer desk right now. This sexy mo-fo is going in a box, due straight for Auburn as soon as... I get some pictures. Because honestly, he looks sharp, and I really regret not getting pictures of the panther before I sent her commission off. But dammit, he's being sent off.
I know better now, and this has got to be the single most frustrating, saddening, life-impacting lesson that I've learned to date: Henrie, don't bite off more than you can chew. Seriously.
Now, as far as I know, I've resolved each of my boastful claims. But I'm going by my Paypal transaction history. If I have missed anyone, PLEASE let me know. I'm in a good place right now, and I just want to have this 100% resolved and done with. I'm now going to write something more uplifting and cover this journal up. Because yay. I'm done.
Seriously, thanks guys. Each of ya'll that threw money at my stupidity. I am very sorry that I dipped on you, and I hope that the extra time and love I put into your commissions made the wait mildly tolerable.

Whoo, Explosions!
General | Posted 13 years agoWell, explosions from my nose at least. I've had the most wicked and prolific head cold these last two weeks, though I was getting over it, but it came back twice as strong. I've avoided the crap out of my current crafting to keep everyone safe from my gross sickness (Okay, to avoid sewing. HAIR. EVERYWHERE. Up the nose, it does bad things to those with colds.)
*takes a deep breath* But feeling awesome and sexy now. More than excited about the inquiries to suits and partials I've gotten, sorry again for lack of pictures. It really did come down to sneezing fits. Things are assembly-lining in a wonderful manner.
And getting super-comfortable with Smooth-On and it's products. AMAZING stuff. Not exactly cheap, but the results are uniquely durable. And in some cases reusable. Odered more, it's due the 22nd. So, big cat teeth on hold again. First amount I bought wasn't quite enough. x;D Live and learn, I have.)
Also, can somebody call me? I've. Lost my phone. >> I have people I need to get messages to. X'D Need to stop losing it.
EDIT - phone located, though 90% dead. It is now charging upstairs, thank you guys! <3
As always, love ya birches! And elms, too!
WHAHAAHAH! FEETPAWS TONIGHT!

That upsetting moment when-
General | Posted 13 years agoYou put on your fursuit and realize it doesn't fit anymore. x'D
Ahaha...hahaha. Yeah. If that isn't a call for action, I don't know what is. lol Technically, the bodysuit still fits, but I'm finding a good deal of resistance when I try to sit. Last year, I could curl up and do really funny-looking summersaults... *lesigh*
So. Exercise. Starting... now. Hell, going for a walk to the store to buy an apple and walk back. Two miles. Fursuiting's out the window this con Oh well. XD
Just thought you should all know. I am counting on YOU ALL to SHAME MY FAT ASS into walking EVERY. DAY. x'D Shame is a fantastic tool. I -hate- shame. >:P
Henrie out! HAHAHA!

Rainfurrest is in a week.
General | Posted 13 years agoAnd I might be going thanks to some last-minute bird charity? Iono. Was hard to hear from the ass-end of the table (Seeing as it was Talryk's going away party, he got to sit at the head) but there was something about "blahblahblah all of them whore, blahblah Rainfurrest, blahblahblah never say ice, blah blah Henrie, blahblahblah, DAMMIT Henrie, blahblah I owe everyone a round, blah science."
...Yes. :D
But if that works out, it was very nICE of Talryk. He needs hugs and -stuff-. *nodnodnod*
And I still don't have my crafting stuff yet. Con coming up, who needs badges? Who wants badges? Free badges for everyone~! Or at least until I run out of badge strings. Then it's just FREE BADGE ARTS FOR EVERYONE!
*COUGH*

$150 of fur later.
General | Posted 13 years agoOh, Fabric.com. You put fur on sale. You seem to be almost sold out. Nice job, furries.
So. Still on the crafting high. Cutting foam today, shaping things based on measurements. Testing the "Can I make something that -fits well- based on numbers alone?" theory. Should be good. So excited that the fur is ordered.
Crafting now, doing more $1 commissions later today. c: They're fun. Awesome wind-down.
Anything else? No. I'm good. Apologies to the people that are getting spammed with my crazy ramblings. Too hyper not to spam. Stop! Tiger tiem! *runs off*

$100 Fursuit Heads (And other pricey crap.)
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's a crazy idea. But I'm going with it. Until the end of the year, I'll be doing heads for just the $100, in either the toony or semi-realistic (I'd call it realistic, but I suck. :D) style that I've grown fond of. Moving jaw and all that, I'm just looking forward to getting insane amounts of practice. And whether I like it or not, it's much faster to assembly line fursuit heads. (One day for foaming, one for patterning, one for sewing, one for shaving, etc.)
Iron fursuit?
Price may or may not change at the end of the year. If anything, availability might be an issue. I -still- have an issue with taking people's money. x'D
PRICING!
I'm doing $100 heads until the end of the year. (The price may stay the same after that, with small alterations for "I want horns and wigs, and+++ lol )
Body Suits start at $100 as well, provided I get a DTD. $125 with just measurements, because pattern-making gives me a headache, lol.
Hands, $25 ($15 if coupled with head/body - it means I already have the fur. ;3 )
Feet, $25 ($15 if coupled with head/body.)
Tails are $35 alone, $25 with head/body.
That... should cover most. I'm not uber-skilled. That is a fact. but I can sew, and my seams are AMAZING amounts of strong. I've proven that to myself. And I'm not afraid of markings from el Diablo. Nope. I'm contacting a few people in the next few weeks and asking permission to do their character for a nice infographic. x'D At my own expense. But ya'll who I contact are friends. And are also the people I think would enjoy a suit but wouldn't otherwise get one. Anyway. Stuff. WHEEE!

General | Posted 13 years agoYou can try and figure out how to pronounce "mmmmng". I leave this to you, internet. :P
So, it's absolutely confirmed that I'm out of the convention circuit until at least mid-year next year. So much ouch, so much sad. But in the meantime to quell my utterly poor free time I will be open for commissions. And I'll be spending the next week making charts Hoboy. x'D
The ones I'm actually really psyched about are of the fursuit and costuming variety. While I am poor, I've got so many tools at my disposal that it's be a shame not to take advantage of them. Expect nice, crisp, bright photos of a few large cats this month. (Panthers, tigers, lions, oh my!) And that means ANOTHER chart! lol.
Testing of the laser engraver on fur effect is underway. I expect taht I'll be posting how that went tomorrow. All I can say is that (if this works) I will be able to do insanely detailed fursuit work. Like, crazy-awesome spots, tri-colored markings from hell, and even Moezou's insane topographical map marking. From hell. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5427760/ Because discussions were had, lol.
And all of this means I will continue to under price everything. x'D Because who needs to value their personal time? Not I, said the Henrie. Kinda liking the nice little niche of "no extra money, but no owed bills, either" land that I'm in. Keeps ya focused, yes it does. $100 fursuit heads, anyone? Ohboy. x'D
All in all, I'm amazing, how are you? xD TESTING!

Duct Tape Dummies for Dummies.
General | Posted 14 years agoWell, not quite. X'D I just thought the title was cute. But I HAVE put together a somewhat thorough (Overly so, even) guide to creating a DTD with a friend.
....That, and I wanted to post funny pictures of "The Dude" on the internet. He said I couldn't use Facebook. Web tutorial was the next best thing. Check it out? :P

Henrie made a WordPress thingy.
General | Posted 14 years agoI figure an ambiguous title wouldn't make any sense. XD
Anyway, I've gone and made a WordPress blog to use as a portfolio - you know, one I can show my mom and not get the "...Why are there pictures of dogs doing... OHGOD! *blind*" reaction when she goes to the "BROWSE" page.
Yes, I'm looking at you, FurAffinity.
*chucklesnort*
But yes, WordPress. It allows for image uploads and the like - long entries, the kind of organizing that I really appreciate. I've a few complaints, but I can't seem to beat it for free. Anyway, I'll be using it to sort of document my process for a couple of projects, and display finished images of some of the more repetitive projects. (If you've built one fox, you can build an army of them.) So, anyone who may have been interested in that can pop in. It's hella new right now, so I've not added all sorts of content, but I plan on having a "Badge Making" page and some scanned images of finished art. Nothing you wouldn't see double-posted here. :3 Good times. But it'll be fun for anyone who's suit I'm working on, I'm sure. c;

General | Posted 14 years agoSo, you know those ideas that sound AMAZING when you're sloughing off a bad hangover? That hangover you got from discovering what a "trash can" is. Oh lordy. (Some concoction involving cheap, hard liquor and energy drink) The stairs? I came home and told them to fuck off. Because FUCK STAIRS, that's why!
...Er, bit off topic. Sobering Henrie is kinda bitter, apparently.
Fucking stairs.
ANYWAY. Squeaky microphone. Like, slightly over-sized, but otherwise convincingly built stage prop microphone. With a cord. A 7 foot cord that connects to nothing. And it squeaks. Did I mention the squeaky noise? It's amusing me far too much at this hour - and it doesn't actually exist yet. I'm just busily squeaking the hell out of a dog toy about to be cannibalized.
...The other half is not half as amused by it's sound. Then again, he's had to listen to it for the last two hours while I giggled and rolled around in all of the sheets. -those sheets he couldn't enjoy because I was, well... Rolling in them.
But we don't wanna read about the mundane nonsense I put him through. Not like this is a journal of my everyday occurrence-
*looks up*
Oh. Wait. HELLS YEAH, I CAN DRUNKENLY POST.
Whoot! n-n So, it was ladies' night at the Tacoma card shop, "Exalted Games". Any role-playing nerd or card-gamer should find their way down to the store on a Wednesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday - it's not so often that this many dorks gather outside of a convention to just enjoy themselves. Unless you're a regular. Then it's hella often. |B
I digress - ladies' night. It's a sorta new thing the store owner is putting together, "to bring together the female gamers and support them in their endeavors." Because we add to the atmosphere. XD Wouldn't want a sausage-fest in the store, it's a classy establishment. As a new "tournament day" of sorts, our attendance is kinda low - there were five of us tonight. (There's about 13 regulars that could've shown but were otherwise busy being adults. xD) So, what do four girls and a Henrie do on a Thursday night?
Go to Chopsticks and get a tiny bit blitzed, apparently. Oh, and try to play Magic. AHAH! That was a blast. While I don't normally drink, I decided tonight would be a cute exception. I hadn't yet tried to play a thought-intensive game of cards when I couldn't properly locate my feet, and the lovely military woman in front of me had a challenging streak in her personality as stubborn and persistent as mine.
We tried to drink each other under the table. I mean, we played three games (Best of three, of course) where every creature you lost required you to take a shot, every game played required a Jager Bomb, and every turn that took a bit too long needing a good sized slurp. This was after the trash cans, of course. Because any good Magic the Gathering draft STARTS with two trashcans.
**For those unknowing of what a "draft" is, it's a format that has you building your card deck out of booster packs instead of having it prepared before the tournament. One catch: everyone opens their pack, takes ONE card, then passes the pack around the table. Rinse, wash, repeat - everyone's picking through the tattered carcasses of the 15-card packs TRYING to make a working deck. It's not hard, but it adds the element of chance and passing strategy. Also has most players scratching their heads and carefully reading each card - even the crap rares and commons. Draft is my favorite format for that reason. And other reasons. Can't beat that metallic crinkling noise the pack makes.
So. That's how these things normally work. Instead, we was getting tipsy, *trying* to be polite, and basically pulling whichever cards we fancied. Five girls, five colors - needless to say, we all picked blue. XD Naw, naw... We were picking colors across the board. It was all easy-going, save for Kristen and I. XD We was ttly 4 srs, bro. Eyes locked, fishing the over-turned RedBull cans from our glasses and insisting that we WOULD drink each other under the table.
Still not sure who won that. We did both skip awkwardly away from the bar. XD Was a good time. Not just for us two - all five of us. CB I'm still not keen on doing this again next month, but it was cute. And the husbands were super-good sports about picking us up and driving us home. Burrito (Ahaa, I call him Burrito. |'D ) took a taxi down to the card shop just to drive me home. <3 Ah, 2 o'clock cab rides to grab the inebriated other half.
Got home with many giggles and new stories, Arthur tried to get me up the stairs. I'm sure we can imagine how that went down. It didn't. XD Stared them down like a boss, though. I mean - any more tension and you could cut the air with a knife. Lucky for me there's a hide-a-bed downstairs. Muffin (...Man of many snack-food related names.) brought down the sheets for me. I'm still kinda giggling from that - I don't know if it's the alcohol or not, but he's just too cute sometimes. And warm. And cuddly. And good with his hands. |D
...
I regret nothing.
C|
So, that kinda catches us all up, doesn't it? Cards, booze, cute moments, debachery, all topped off with the never-ending squeaks...
...Of a chew toy.
Don't worry, the hide-a-bed is very well lubricated and hardly makes any noise when you're getting nailed on it! :D
Oh yeah, I went there. So, the comment question of the night comes from a far-off sober corner of my mind. It asks: "What do YOU do with your Thursday nights?" Leave your creative and interesting comments in the text box below, and I'll see ya'll later! <3

Soooo... >>
General | Posted 14 years agoAhem. Remember that New York thing? Turns out hubby flunked his way out of the military. (Alright, they dropped him like a hot potato. I'd like to be angry, but they're turning all sorts of people down left and right. D: Not like we're being picked on.)
So. Move cancelled. The day before I was set to leave. And all mah crap be packed and half Goodwilled. I'd be angry about THAT, but these were things I never planned on using. *sigh* I am now streamlined. Arthur is set to come up to Washington state at some point - I am dead-set on moving away from the parents and into town. Might be Tacoma, might be Seattle - either way, it's at LEAST 35 miles closer to funstuff. And potential jobs.
School's gonna bite the big one-joy, though I may transfer to a community college and patch together enough financial aid to make that work. Arthur will be a looking for a job as well. Hooray lack of skills! <3 (If anyone knows of a room for rent, etc - I'd be happy to know about it.)
That being said, It's going to take longer to move than I thought. I've unpacked my art supplies, but the rest will stay in boxes until we've got a place to stay semi-permanently. And jobs. *sigh* That pay money. So we can eat. xD Lord knows if I'm given an excuse to do silly things like make furry suits for free, I'd do that and forsake the job hunt. :x
Leaving the que of cute up here - because I can at least tackle arty stuff.
Also, bug huge hug for
lychee who made me an art! http://lycheemonster.tumblr.com/pos.....acter-design-3 Not gonna lie, that's the first person besides myself who's been brave enough to try arting that atrocity. EEE! XD *desktop'd*
EPIC QUE TIME!
(Suity bits)
1: Faygo hands. :D
2: A suit of Cassy's four-animal hybrid character!
3: Probably more Faygo! XD
(Arty bits - which can be worked on now)
1: Tweeker- er Tweeko badge! :D WINGY WINGY! >XD
2: Robbert Roo badge. :P *pop*
3: Several bits from my previous journal. xP
4: I do believe I was to do a reference sheet or two but cannot remember the person who asked for it off-hand. :x MADELINE! Yes, Madeline. But there was one more. >>

Last Journal for a while. c:
General | Posted 14 years agoSo, I'm officially unplugging myself tomorrow, in awesome preparation for leaving. Got plenty of people to visit before I go, so i figure having everything important (and the computer is the very last thing. xD) packed is the best way to go!
This is kinda the reason I've been finicky about badges and various other things I've talked to people about making. My... artstuff is packed. x'D But, it's going to be the second thing unpacked when I get to New York, youbetcha!
So, leaving this here for reference while I'm gone. Yes, I'll start taking commission-y things after I move. But I'm not all that comfortable taking money from people yet, so... Well, I'll be doing little art bits and even fursuit commission-like things for the cost of materials and shipping if necessary. And, just for those many, many people who've gotten fidgety over throwing money at me, I'll set out a tip jar for you. XD Gosh. Only to be donated to after you've gotten that thing you love. (Look again, it is now DIAMONDS!) Because if I get tips before work, I've been known to slow down. XD
So yeah, simple plan. I've talked to a couple of you about the more complicated costume-bits of the plan already. You know who you are. :P

If you'd like to pounce your way onto one of these, feel free to send me a note (I'd prefer a note over a comment, really. <3) Arty-things are free, of course. When it comes to costume bits, I will require the materials to work with. When the something or other does get finished, I kindly ask that you cover shipping charges. <3 Nothing more.

OMG WTF BBQ.
General | Posted 14 years agoLegitimate over-use and abuse of acronyms and chat-speak there - you see, Fur-Life Seattle JUST concluded their annual BBQ celebration. And OH. MY. GODS. I had a blast. So many people to irritate. And there was FOOOOOOOD!? Food ad games. It was outright shenanigans, I'd say. Everything from Munchkin Booty to "Cover Your Shame" all the way to TWO NUTTERS setting up a zipline.
..a ZIP LINE.
WHY DID SOMEBODY ALLOW FURRIES A ZIPLINE!?
XD
It was brilliant. And I've picked up this incredibly silly accent from a foreign furry who found his way over to the states for Anthrocon and other shenanigans. Of COURSE the Fur-Life BBQ made his list of IMPORTANT THINGS. Now, Pip-pip, cheerio, I'm going to finish coming the cake out of my HAIR. I mena, I washed it out thoroughly, but after a two hour drive, you still kinda feel it's presence. XD

General | Posted 14 years agoYeah, so I accomplished my quota of things to do today~ Yahoo! And it got the art finger a'twitchin'. So, while I finish working on my current art-bit, I'll leave myself open for suggestions of things to draw. :P No cutoff here, but i will literally choose the next subject by dice roll. (Roll a D6, baby! Or a D8. Or a D- just nevermind. I have lotsa dice. /nerdiness.)
So, leave your interesting and/or creative responses in the comments beLOW- *point* :P Might be able to get 3-4 of them done in a quick order. 8D
1- Big, pink, erotically shaped balloon.
**2- Jakooboo's dolphin. :D
3- Robbert getting smacked around by his erotically shaped, big, pink balloon. (Seems to be a favorite.)
4- Cassy going after Skittles for her... Skittles. XD
5- Ted the Wolf being silly in an Applebee's.
6- 3:06 ... Butts. XD
7- Keeko v Kim Jong Il. XD
8- Something Harry Potter related...? :o
9- Some I am your GRANDMA action.
EDIT! First roll of the dice has been made! And the dolphin takes it. XD

General | Posted 14 years agoIono. It's been 24 hours, seemed fair to update the journal. Finished a wonderful... 5 badges. Five in the last two days. I feel all accomplished and crap. XD I'd be more than willing to make more for... $25. Yeah, that sounds like a good number. These things are, of course, drawn, colored, and laminated like a boss.
Yes. That's right, like a BOSS.
And you get a lanyard. I mean, s'all nifty. XD No muss, no fuss, just rip it out of the envelope and run off with it.
Nevermind that I'm a bad salesman. :D

Seems this summer,
RanDaYena will be drawing one request a day. Says he spends so much time planning a picture that it takes him longer to draw than it really should. Throw the 'yena a bone and give him a good pool of requests to draw from, eh? :D
Seems I've almost (jeez, Henrie. Why is it always -almost-?) finished my tiny batch of five freebies. You know, with da color. Totally having a "Dammit, Skyan!" moment trying to color -GLASS-. But I deserve it. That aside, be sure to go back and refresh the images if you haven't. Totally proud of the color at work. <3 (Last time I attempted color on paper, it was... how you say: horrific.)
Won't be posting too much in the next few weeks. I'm moving across the country to New York state! :D ( D8 ) Packing, packing, moving-I'll be a busy Yena. But when I get there, something tells me I'll be in the mood to upload a crapton of images. 83
Only a teeny-tiny number of pageviews until my 250 kiriban, peoples! :P I really hope someone catches it soon, 'cause it'd suck to wait 4 weeks for Henrie to get herself moved and settled in before she -started- on your badge-y thing! D:

Kiriban?
General | Posted 14 years agoIf I recall correctly, a "kiriban" is the somewhat random act of catching a certain number of watchers, pageviews, etc. and giving the person who catches said number a prize!
So. Uhm. I'mma try one! :D
250 pageviews isn't incredibly far off - and I will draw, color and mail a conbadge to the fur who catches it! :D Just message me a link to the screenie, an address of some sort to mail to, and a description of the character you'd like drawn. :D I'll sign the badge, and if I have the chance, get it laminated for ya as well. ^_^
...Happy F5-ing.

Why not? Free Art? XD
General | Posted 14 years agoM'kay, older journal got a little silly. So, while I have some free time and my colored pencils at the ready - I'm offering free doodles. :3
I mean, all the cool kids are doing it.
Doodles will be colored by pencil or left black-and-white (for now - one reason being I cannot color quickly on the computer. No tabby.) and preferably of a tame nature. x'D I don't mind "bits" but I'd rather not fill my gallery with things above a PG-13 rating. :D
So. Have at it? First... Oh, 5 people to respond are the winners.
On your marks.
Get set.
REQUEST!
One glass-sharded Aus. Shepard:
Skyan Teh dun-ish. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5896925
One cute neon-accented otter:
draxaotter Also finished! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5897364/
