ACFI 2025?
Posted 3 months agoAre any of y'all going to ACFI (Alamo City Furry Invasion) this year?
I've only gone once, I was a volunteer & didn't really know anybody or have any friends there, I had some fun but haven't been to it since 2019
So I was wondering if anyone following me or anyone I may know is going this year, since it's at a different location this year & it went from 45min away to 1hr & 45min away for me to drive to it (I did have a place to stay that was only 15min away from the old location), I'll only try to go for a day if I have people to meet or hang out with

Posted 5 months agoIt looks like Tumblr may be going down & I barely get any interaction on the couple of places I post as is, FA has been a fall back but the amount of interaction has always been little to none so if Tumblr does go down it'll be one step closer to me only posting on Discord
I've tried one new place after the other putting in days of tagging & posting art only to get zero engagement
I'm getting really close to not caring anymore & just stop posting/interacting everywhere except DiscordKo-fi memberships

A little update
Posted 11 months agoI was starting to get caught up on my art but I haven't drawn anything in a week to rest my arm/wrist, I'm going take an easy for a bit longer & slowly get back to it
Went to the doctor for it & they didn't think it was anything too serious, it's most likely a tendonitis flare up
Sorry it's taking me a while to work on the ych, it'll be the first thing I work on when I start drawing again but I do have it mostly lined out & I have a few WIPs posted on my Discord

Posted a year agoIt's going to be a little while before I can do it (I'd like to finish my YCH first) but what I received from my YCH & very generous person my Ko-fi stretch goal was met 2x so that means I'll be doing a couple freebie art streams in the future

Posted a year ago If anyone here knows who dreamkeepers are, they now openly condone ai & have an "art" contest going on for it & want you to use an ai model that is used to create non-consensual porn models of existing people & they're also blocking people & hiding post that call them out, also for the traditional art contest that they're hosting alongside the ai one has the same prize as the ai "art" contest so they're literally comparing artist hard work to ai slop.
If you want to gauge their mindset, I sent them a message why I was leaving their Discord because of a moderator that openly allows, post & praises ai garbage(that's clearly scrapped from artists) just to get their rocks off & they're completely ok with it & their response was "I'm sorry you feel that way"
Another sad part is that we were following each other since the early days of Tumblr & it makes me sad seeing what they turned into, with the amount of people telling me why they left their community & the people they keep in their circles.
I sent them an email, all they did was skirt around all the unprofessional/petty behavior & they don't care if you use civitai that is used to create non-consensual porn models of existing people because they told me it has nothing to do with them.
They also informed me that they had an overwhelmingly positive response to the ai stuff & "people have been trying to drive readers away from their stories for years" kind of proves a point, literally turning into the big bad corporation that uses ai & doesn't care.
Seeing the amount of hate for this ai stuff on their Facebook post makes me wonder where the "overwhelmingly positive response" is & wondering why they told me their fans have an interest in it when they clearly don't.

It really sucks when an artist you've looked up to for so long & even backed multiple indiegogo/kickstarters does stuff like this, I'm beyond disappointed in them & I'll be getting rid of all of the merch that I've gotten over the years.

Just had a needed overdue dentist appointment with a $426 bill, ended up using emergency cash I had so I didn't dip into medical bill funds
I've been thinking about doing a few YCHs to help out with bills & things, I don't have any ideas for them yet but they'll probably be SFW & NSFW
Recovering from surgery, having been out of work with no pay for almost 2 months & being officially let go(I do still have the option to re-apply) has kind of sucked
