Back Online
General | Posted 5 years agoHi, guys, chicks and sentient alien quadrapeds. After much toil, (and watching the television like a pensioner) I finally have my broadband back online ^^
It turns out my brother cut the hard connection in half with the shovel while digging a flower patch in the front garden ^^; At least the engineer buried the new cable more than an inch below the ground this time :p
In any case, I look forward to ploughing on with my projects and chatting with people without rationing my phone's data allowance ^^

Internet Down
General | Posted 5 years agoYeah, you read that right, I have no internet access. I'm writing this journal with mobile data while on my lunch break at work. I attempted to contact the provider with no success, due to very little support staff available. I have no idea when I'll regain access, but this will likely affect how I interact on FA for a while.
See you, and take care :p

Social Distancing
General | Posted 5 years agoWell, things have gotten far worse than I initially expected. I'm not sure what's going to happen here in the UK.
All I'm doing right now is minimising social interaction outside the house, going out only to do the shopping and going to work. I still have a little more shopping to do and plan on stocking up on some extra things.
The timing is tragically perfect, as I'm off work for an entire week. But I guess this is a perfect opportunity to be productive and knuckle down on some projects without the usual distractions. Boris is going to make a statement tonight. I have some idea of what that statement will contain, but I hope the implications won't be too severe. I guess it's a matter of keeping my head down and carrying on as usual. I might do some streams soon, either an art or gaming stream... or both. I just bought Doom Eternal on Steam, so maybe I'll stream that.
I hope you're all keeping safe. Remember, coughs and sneezes spread diseases, and dont forget to keep those paws squeaky clean. Speak to you soon ^^

I'm Back
General | Posted 6 years agoHi all!
You guessed it, I'm back from my holiday. Had a blast, Thailand and Singapore were awesome, I felt like a right tourist XD However, Bali was where the holiday began to slow down to a much more leisurely pace. Those A380 passenger jets are gigantic, and quite comfortable too.
The journey back played havok with my body clock last night, but I'm ready to go to work tomorrow. Speaking of which, I had to convince my bosses I don't have the corona virus, absolute barrel of laughs.
We'll anyway, I've just hit the ground running today. I'm continuing with a commission that someone already paid for, there's no time to waste!
Hope to speak with you soon ;p

Holiday
General | Posted 6 years agoJust thought I'd notify my watchers of my departure just one last time. I'll be boarding my flight to Thailand, Singapore and Bali, on Feb 2nd at about 21:00, (basically tonight). So, I won't be around to take care of business until I return on the 17th.
There are a couple of loose ends I need to address when I return, such as an image I'm working on, as well as a commission for a certain fellow. Unfortunately my output has suffered in recent times, due to circumstances I have no control over and responsibilities (involving my mother) I have to see through. This is the main reason why I haven't really engaged much and have been really reluctant to take commissions. I genuinely feel terrible that I can't finish a piece of work fast enough for people that pay me, hence whay I haven't opened shop... so to speak.
This time away should help me step back and reflect on the things that have happened in the last year, while providing me with ample time to decide how I'm going to tackle the year ahead. I already mentioned this before, but I plan on leaving my dead end job to develop a career in the coming months. The working weeks before and during the Christmas period have been abyssmal, and has really put a strain on my tolerance. As soon as the the right time comes along, I'll be handing my notice in to pursue my dreams.
I hope all is well, and I look forward to coming back and cracking on.

Merry Christmas
General | Posted 6 years agoMerry Christmas and a happy new year!
I undertand this is sort of coming out of the blue, but I hope everyone is doing well and have been granted time to rest and reflect on this passing year. My hat goes off to those who operate in the emergency and public services, and those who help keep us all safe.
I still have plans to give my FA account more attention. In the past year I have spent a lot of time trying to establish myself as a graphic designer, attending networking events and showcasing my skillset during one to one meetings. Therefore my attention as been somewhat diverted. It's a goal of mine to leave my job in 2020 in order to double down on my output and fulfill my ambition as a creative. This is going to be a point of serious reflection during time in Tailand, Singapore and Bali in February. To keep a log story short, I need a vacation.
Commissions could be on the cards. If I could formulate a commission sheet and set certain parameters and guidelines, that would be good place to start.
Again, I hope all is well and that you are all spending time with family and friends this Christmas ^^

New Sonic Movie Trailer
General | Posted 6 years agoParamount has released a new Sonic Movie trailer. The revised Sonic model looks much better than the "thing" that was used in the first trailer that dropped earlier in the year. I feel that the trailer itself is better overall. Has anyone seen the new Sonic trailer? If so, what do you think of it?

Status Update... and Shinies
General | Posted 6 years agoHi, dudes and chicks. I thought I'd just give you a little lowdown of my current situation. My output has been somewhat underwhelming at this point. This is due to distractions and various things I need to take care of, I generally feel physically drained as a result.
I know this sounds pretty bad, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm currently writing a story for one of my older pieces that could benefit from having a volume of text to describe it better. I know many of you like stories and I look forward to sharing my latest piece of writing with you as soon as it's done. Once it's finished, I'll upload another journal to direct you to it :3
One other thing I'd like to mention is this new "Shinies Tipping System". What do you guys think of it? It sounds pretty interesting,

Sonic Trailer
General | Posted 6 years agoAs you'll most probably know, the trailer for the Sonic The Hedgehog movie just dropped recently. Recent leaks did point to worryingly bad design choices and questionable direction... turned out to be accurate, yikes. To the trailer's credit Jim Carrey looks pretty good as Dr. Robotnik AKA Dr Eggman and could salvage the film. I'll definitely go to see it regardless, though Sonic's design and anatomy will probably give me nightmares for the rest of my life. Those legs and tiny feet, the horror. One thing for sure is that the memes will come thick and fast, there will be a torrent of memes. Let us embrace the memes
Discord
General | Posted 7 years agoHey, everyone. I thought I'd just let people know that I'm on Discord. I've actually been on Discord for a while now, I've only just really started to use it. I go by the same user name. If you want to keep in touch, ask for my code, and I'll send it to you via private message. I'd like to get to know more of you lovely people this year :3
Tis The Season
General | Posted 7 years agoMerry Christmas everybody! I honestly have nothing else to say, but I genuinely hope you all have a terrific Christmas holiday. With 2018 behind us, we can look forward to the year ahead. There is so much more for me to achieve, so many targets, so many goals. I hope 2019 will be the year for me, and you as well.
Status Update
General | Posted 7 years agoA lot has happened since my last journal, which was well over a thousand years ago. Man, it's been a while since I wrote something (need to write something)
It's hard to write about things when you're not in a particularly bad mood. You know, when your mood neutralises, your keyboard warrior instincts kind of vanish. Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive pessimist, but feel much less inclined to piss and moan when I, you know "feel alright". I almost lost my phone a couple of weeks ago, but was lucky enough to have it handed back to me, very lucky indeed. The guy that found my phone on the cycle track sent me a message on my own facebook page explaining that I dropped it and gave me his e-mail address. Turns out the man lectures fine art at the local university.
Other things have happened. My grandfather passed away and my mother has been recovering from a mental breakdown since May. Well, at least my niece got christened. So, it has been a bit up and down in the last couple of months. I’m still coping with work and have been stumbling into each following day. At least I have Cuba to look forward to in early December. I need a holiday, this whole year has felt like white noise at times, so much has been happening.
I finally figured out how to use OBS for game streaming. I think that from now on, I’ll be using that instead of the Elgato software. The one thing I really would like to do is create my own overlay to use during my twitch streams. Maybe I should start using my mic too?
Anyway, I’m still working on my projects. So expect part 14 of Sticky Hospitality in the not too distant future. I still need to continue with Crystal’s Blackest Night. I should probably work in parallel with other pending projects such as stand alone pics. However, I have been lacking motivation lately. So, to those of you who have been sticking around, I appreciate your patience and I thank you for your continued interest in my work.

Good News And Bad News
General | Posted 8 years agoLet's start with the bad. Yep, it's already more than three months into 2018, and "things" have already been happening. I guess I don't really know anything about world events, because I practically don't watch TV anymore. One notable occurrence I should probably mention, is the death of professor Stephen Hawking. Quite a significant name to add to the annual obituary. To be blunt, modern science wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for that brilliant man. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
On a more positive note, I just received my K95 Platinum mechanical keyboard today. I call it, the "Disco Deck" because it's so wicked, and makes me want to dance, and causes seizures. What this means is I can type on the interwebz without coming across as an illiterate moron. Until now, I was using my spare Advent keyboard... it was crap, is "crap". The Q and A keys are friggin jammed together, typing was an absolute bastard. Another great thing about the K95, is the USB pass through, which has enabled me to connect my blue yeti to the computer. I plan on testing the mic on twitch, So expect to hear my horrendously boring voice whenever you see me on stream :) I have been neglecting my twitch schedule as of late, I really want to rectify this ^^;
I hope you're all doing well. If you have something interesting to say (or not), I'm all ears. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

First Journal of the New Year
General | Posted 8 years agoHi guys, I thought I'd pass by and say hi. Seeing as I only just posted something last night, I might as well write a new journal too. Well, so far, so good. I've already posted the front cover of my new comic to kick my creative ass into the new year, and feedback has already been very positive. This is encouraging. Your enthusiasm, gives me the drive I really need to punch out some pages and do some super sexy art work for your pleasure.
I just wish I could put my academic credentials to use, target a core demographic and make a proper living doing this, rather than my regular full time daily grind at the factory. But alas, due to mainstream censorship, dreams really are just dreams... Sheila Bouf, you lied to me!
Anyway I'd just like to thank you all for your patience, as my output has been abysmal in the last few months. I always strive to get better at what I do, even if it never really opens any doors for me in life. But the sheer gratification I get from producing this work for you, my audience... is what really keeps me going.
I hope you're all doing well at this early stage in the new year. I look forward to producing more art for you, and digesting your feedback in the weeks and months ahead.

Merry Christmas
General | Posted 8 years agoHey guys! Yes, it's that special time of year again, where we all get together and appreciate the things we have in life... and tear paper, cos it's fun. I hope all is well, and I hope you have all been good this year (I know I have) :p Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Hey Hey Hey!
General | Posted 8 years agoHi guys 'n' gals! Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it? In fact, it must've been about two months since I posted anything (surprise surprise) ^^; To be honest, I've still been adapting to my new mode of existence for the last few months, with my new early day shift really shaking things up for me. I've also gotten in touch with my old Sifu and got back into my Wing-Chun training, with that unsociable evening shift out of the way.
However, as a result of this change, my productivity has suffered, though other factors have contributed to this overall lack of output. In all honesty, I guess I kind of wanted a bit of a break from doing art. And I literally did take a break, because I just got back on Tuesday, from a week long holiday in Spain (I'm looking kinda brown) XD More critically, my desktop's power supply unit popped days before I jetted off to Europe. First my laptop, then my desktop *sigh* So, that was the death knell for my production schedule anyway. However, things are getting back on track, because I just received my new laptop yesterday, and it's a stunner. I really thought about what I wanted, and saved lots of monies. So... I opted for an Aorus X7 DT v7 with a QHD display. Aaaand, here I am writing this journal and contemplating a fresh Photoshop installation. This also means I can resume my Twitch streams https://www.twitch.tv/magic_mouflon So, come down and hang out when I broadcast some gameplay.
Hope everyone is doing well. Anyway, I think I'll get Photoshop up and running, and get to work ASAP!

Over 500 watchers!
General | Posted 8 years agoI was just moseying over my FA profile (because I'm a narcissistic asshole) and was pleasantly surprised to find that my number of watchers peaked over 500! For me this is a massive milestone. I don't really know how to mark the occasion (because I don't know how raffles and other such things work). So... here's a happy dance for your entertainment.
Seriously though, all I can do right now is simply thank all of you who have taken such interest in my gallery and have supported me in the last three years. As you can probably tell, the work I produce has a very specific subject and a strong focus. I won't beat around the bush, I honestly enjoy producing this exact kind of content for people to enjoy. FA has played host to such a warm and accepting community for me to engage with, and I feel I truly belong here. It's a real blast having the power to be so transparent with you all as I continue to build my wonderful world for your enjoyment, piece by piece. My gallery will continue to grow, and the support you are giving me will enable me to express my vision and become a better artist in the process.
I have so much more to show, so many more stories to tell. So, again, thank you all so much :)

Things Are Changing
General | Posted 8 years agoWell, it's been a while since I've written a new journal. So, I present to you... a new journal :3
Just like the title says, things are changing, for me anyway. These changes aren't particularly bad either. A colleague at work has just left the Kit Kat 4 plant at Nestle, and I've pounced on the opportunity to fill the void left behind. The reason why this is such a significant change for me is because I'm now going to work permanent full time hours during the day, instead of the evening. I've only ever had the opportunity to work during the day whenever I covered operatives taking time off. However, I was still contracted to finish at 8pm. So, I'd still end up working anything from 10 to 14 hours a day during cover. This new development means I'll have much more flexibility in my day to day routine. So, more opportunities to take up hobbies, see people and continue working on creative projects.
The problem I've always faced has never really been a financial one, but one of satisfaction, or rather a lack of it. I've always been used to starting work in the middle of the day, or late in the evening, then finishing at night for the last fifteen years. Anything else I'd want to do during the day had already happened while I was on my shift. Anyway, after work, I'd get home and try to be as productive as possible until the sun begins to rise. Yeah, I think you can already see the problem there. Now, things are going to be different. There's a window of opportunity to actually achieve something, rather than feel like a spare part in a dead end shift. For example, I actually miss my martial arts training, I now have a chance to resume where I left off. Oh, and I don't have to do midnight gym sessions anymore either *woot*
This leads me onto another thing. I've just gone down to my local bicycle dealer to get a bike built up for collection on Monday. So, no more waiting for the bus and getting late for me.
Great news all round right? Well, overwhelmingly yes for the most part. I say this because my laptop recently had some kind of malfunction, so I'm on the market for a new one. Until then, no more Twitch streams from me unfortunately. I actually could use my desktop, but I have my reasons to not go that route, one of them is "practicality" ^^;
Like most other people, I have been distracted with life and the trials it throws at me. So, I should probably mention that some of my creative projects have been put on hiatus. However, I have resumed a SFW character portraight of Ashleigh, a character I have barely given much attention to. The 3D model of her will be put on the backburner. It may need to be rebuilt from scratch, or at least some heavy modification to the mesh will need to be applied, as she's just not looking quite how I envision her. Of course, there's also part 11 of my comic to finish. I really am in no rush to punch out any work, I'm desperate to see just how my life and productivity can improve with this new shift I've taken on. I potentially could get more done, let's just see.

Finally Saw It
General | Posted 8 years agoYes, I went to see Alien Covenant at a relatively late screening last night. It was a decent horror movie. It's probably the best Alien movie I've seen since Aliens, though I prefer the horror and suspense found in Covenant, rather than the action and faster pacing in the former. The film is pretty conventional, and does attempt to deepen the Alien mythos further. Oh, and believe me, it was violent and gory.
To elaborate further on that point, I just don't understand how Alien Covenant got a 15 certification. It's the most gory, violent and disturbing film I've seen in years, both visually and suggestively. Yet, it misses out on being an 18? Oh yeah, I see now, it has no "sex" in it "doy". Sorry, I'm so stupid.
I think this comes to show just how prudish society is. Sex is just a no no. Yet, portraying such vivid scenes of excruciating pain and suffering in the most eye watering, cringe worthy fashion is perfectly fine. To be clear, rape has always been a long running theme in the Alien movies. It has always been implemented in a suggestive manner, but the blood shed in Covenant is far from subtle. Characters convulse, turn white in agony, get torn apart and get turned inside out. The first scene where we are introduced to the Neomorph is simply brutal. To put it bluntly, I guess it's bad to be a pervert, but totally fine to be an axe murderer. But I suppose this has always been the case for the most part in mainstream horror since The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But to emphasise my point, Alien Covenant is a 15, yet I probably wouldn't let a fifteen year old watch it. But if Sex was in there, "god forbid", the film would be considered far too inappropriate for sensitive audiences. The bbfc seriously needs to revise it's film classification system "Yeah, slap a 15 cert on that bitch", unlike Fifty Shades of Grey which earned itself an 18 certificate. I mean, I can totally understand their logic, as Fifty Shades of Grey is just way too hardcore for those teenage movie goers who like to watch people get brutally eviscerated and have their spines torn from their bodies.
To put things into perspective, all the first four Alien movies received an 18 certification from the bbfc. Yet, all of them are tame compared to Covenant, and I'm not kidding.
Anyway, good film, definitely worth a look. I have to admit that I am a little disappointed with some of the revelations, but I don't want to explain why because I want to avoid spoiling it for everyone who hasn't seen it yet.
I'm not sure if this is a journal or a rant.
Two Weeks To Go
General | Posted 8 years agoIn about two weeks, Alien Covenant is going to get its theatrical release in UK cinemas. The Alien series is one of my biggest inspirations, and has shaped my view on science fiction. Aliens (directed by James Cameron) especially made its mark on me when I watched it on late night TV as a child, it inspired my most darkest and disturbing fantasies. I'm definitely looking forward to this, as I've always... always respected Ridley Scot's vision and direction. I'm not usually one to get hyped up over any movie release, but I'll make an exception here. Alien Covenant looks set to go back to it's roots, more so than Prometheus ever could, with greater emphasis on those lovable xenomorphs and rapey face huggers. If I can enjoy the film even a little more than Sci-fi thriller "Life", then I'll be happy :)
Are there any Alien fanatics reading this? Are you planning a trip to the theater to watch the xenos make their big come back?

New Story
General | Posted 8 years agoHi guys "n" gals. I finally got round to writing a lengthy story to compliment the Blister Pods image. Warning, it's disturbing and probably the most sexually explicit piece of writing I've ev... eh, whatever. Just check it out, I hope you enjoy :3 I spent time proof reading the story. If there are any mistakes, I'll correct them as soon as I can :p

Upgrades
General | Posted 8 years agoMight as well write something to keep people informed, as I understand a few of you are waiting for more work to be posted. During my time off work, I've recently refurbished my production rig with a faster boot disk and more SSD space. I used to be much more enthusiastic about PC upgrades and maintenance, but... meh, whatever. At least I have more SSD space for Windows, a whole production suite, and enough remaining storage space for installing games. Ye old internal hard drives are still tasked with mass storage though, the rust still spins. I just had massive problems with Photoshop hanging, causing the diabolical Blue Screen of Death and inducing catastrophic system failures. I think the problem was attributed to old Nvidia graphics drivers powering the Titan Black, which have now been updated. Windows 10 no longer crashes or locks up when I open Photoshop, so I think the proverbial shit storm has passed... I think. I really hope I'm not pissing in the wind here.
One thing I can confirm (among other things) is that I have now resumed working on my art (now that Photoshop has got its shit together). The panels for Part 9 of Sticky Hospitality are currently being rendered as I write this journal. I'm also working on a little something else that I think you might get excited about.
I hope to speak to you soon, fellow quadrupeds, aliens and curious sentient robots. thanks for reading, bye for now ;p

Twitch Streaming Schedule
General | Posted 9 years agoHi guys, thought I'd write a new and relevant journal, (considering we're well into February) so here I am. things haven't really changed since 2016, but that's probably the same for most people I guess ^^; I'm currently working on my most ambitious 3D character project to date, and I'm pouring my heart and soul into it. but sometimes you just need to sit back and relax. Playing games in my spare time has always been a great way to let off a little steam, it's both rewarding and, well... therapeutic.
Anyway, to the point, because nobody likes to hear people babble on. I've started streaming video games on Twitch, and have done so for at least a couple of months. However, it's not until now that I've decided to set in stone a schedule of sorts.
You'll find me streaming at these times on these days:
Wed 23:00-02:00
Sat 21:00-00:00
Sun 22:00-01:00
Bear in mind that I'm in the UK. So, my daily life revolves around the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
You can follow the link to my Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/virtuacod
I'm limiting my streaming schedule to three nights a week, and will roughly equate to about nine hours of game play per week, three hours per session. Don't think of this as a strict schedule though. As is life, things don't always go like clockwork, things may change due to circumstance, or because of how I feel at any particular time. There may be times where I begin a stream earlier than scheduled, or I may even resume a stream well past the indicated time in which I said the stream would stop. I do like to break rules, especially my own, if it's for the enjoyment of others :3
On Wednesdays aka Randomdays, I'll play anything that comes to mind. Typically Xenoblade Chronicles X or Zelda. There's plenty of other games to consider on other platforms besides a Nintendo console, but I'll keep things tidy for now. The weekends are reserved for all things Sega related. Sega Saturdays will feature any Sega related games I have in my library. Jet Set Radio Future, and Shenmue 2 are on my list of games to be streamed on Saturdays right now, but that will expand over time. I'm open to any suggestions, but this depends on what platforms I currently own. Sonic Sundays will be dedicated to all that is Sonic. If you're a Sonic fan, I'm sure you'll approve of the range of Sonic games I have sitting on my shelf.
I currently don't have a mic, so no commentary at this stage. I'm considering the possibility of a mic, if I attract a big enough audience :p
I think that's all I have to say, but I'll begin streaming shortly after this journal gets published.

Twitch
General | Posted 9 years agoHey guys, I just thought I'd notify everyone that I've decided to give my Twitch account some attention. I decided to ditch YouTube game streaming because the whole experience seems awkward and hard to use. I find that many live streaming events on YouTube aren't even game related, or happen to be reaction videos of past game streams. As magnificent as NASA's live streams are, they aren't quite what I'm looking for whenever I want to find someone playing Ocarina of Time or Sonic Adventure 2 in real time ^^; Twitch just feels much more streamlined and simple to use, and is very "gamer centric". I find that I get more exposure on Twitch, while over on YouTube, I get lost and unseen in a sea saturated with unrelated content.
Over at Twitch I'll be live streaming games from systems like the Gamecube, Wii, Wii U and Xbox 360. I also have plans to stream on a broader range of consoles for those of you who enjoy spectating and interaction. Well, the channel is up and running, I hope you pass by and check me out. I'll post a proper schedule when I figure something out.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
General | Posted 9 years agoHi all! I thought I'd pass by and greet my FA buddies before the holiday season really kicks off and paves a way for the new year. I might as well inform y'all what my current status is, and to be honest, I'm just winding down in time for the Christmas holidays. I have plans for 2017 and a number of projects are in the pipeline. I'm currently working on a SFW image right now, here's the WIP I posted in my gallery earlier http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21706466/. That was posted over a month ago, at this point It's looking much more, well... complete.
I bet you guys 'n' gals thought I forgot all about Rebecca... oh sweet Rebecca *sigh*. Part 8 of the "Sticky Hospitality" comic is currently being drafted up as you read this, and I have an idea for a completely new comic. In fact I have a number of comic ideas, but just can't decide which one to go with right now ^^;
There's no doubt many of you will have plans of your own and new resolutions to commit to in 2017, so I wish you all the best. In any case, it's almost that time of year again. So let's take some time to celebrate, share good will and spend quality time with family. Merry Christmas and a happy new year guys!
