Updates
Posted 13 years agoIt's almost been a whole year since my previous journal update, so I'll go ahead and rectify. How's everyone doing?
Aside from all the general inactivity I've been going about, Glowstone is still being worked on. I've also been attempting to get back into drawing, though the results of so haven't been as plentiful but I'll keep trying in any case. Nowadays, I'm usually just lurking around.
Also, for those who were interested in the Everlast series, anonymless currently working on a written series based on Everlast itself that might also be of your interest: Everlasting Shadow - Ch. 1

Last Alpha for Glowstone
Posted 14 years agoInstead of spending time outside the house during my birthday yesterday, I actually stayed home to relax and work more into Glowstone. This was due a long time ago, but my motivation had been off and inconsistent. From here, I won't be releasing any more public alphas or demos for awhile or not until the game makes major progress, but I still should provide videos of it every now and then and along with general updates.
Update - Combos
Posted 14 years agoSlowly but surely I'm getting closer to releasing a new public alpha for Glowstone, which will include two new playable characters and stages to explore. For the time being, I've produced new footage of the game itself, mostly showing the playable characters and the combos they can perform:
Glowstone - Characters and Combos (YouTube)
I'll definitely post another update once it's all built and ready to go.
Every now and then I do happen to doodle things, but most of those aren't really worth an actual upload. I've also composed plenty of new songs for the Glowstone OST. It's generally been a busy but relaxing summer over here. How has summertime been for everyone else?

N Update
Posted 14 years agoAside from the terrible inside pun being made here, I’ve been enjoying Pokemon White as far as I've been through. It’s been awhile ever since I’ve gotten this much excitement out of the franchise in general. Who else out there has either of the games?
In any case, I’m gaining opportunities to work more into Glowstone and various other productions. It took me a bit of time to get used to my class schedule. You can, or at least I’d hope, expect more updates on the project soon enough. I’m currently debating if I should work more into the plot for the next alpha demo release or program even more into the in-game systems.

GlowStone Update (Alpha V. 1 FIX 2)
Posted 14 years agoGlowStone - Alpha Footage (YouTube)
Glowstone - Alpha V1 FIX 2.zip (MediaFire)
These updates won't occur as often, but this update provides an even better demo presentation of the game, compared to the previous alpha release. A few bugs had been fixed and a boss fight awaits for those who venture deep enough.
Again to say, I'm going to be doing all I can to make sure this game gets completed at the fullest.
Update (1/4/11 - Alpha V1 FIX)
-Green card/PC-G disappearance glitch had been fixed
-Defense aptitude for all characters had been decreased
-Save points now heal HP completely for all party members, but will not recover KO'ed characters
-Boss fight is now generally less difficult
-New reward for those who finish the demo
Update (1/7/11 - Alpha V1 FIX 2)
-Jumping/Falling Blocks tutorial changed to be easier
-[ESC] key no longer quits the game, but serves as an alternative to open the in-game menu.
-Shining Specials or "Supers" for all characters ( Up + [C] )
-Lightened the background for BioLab, to make it easier spotting out G-Cats
-Status menu can now be accessed

GlowStone - Why my lack of general updates
Posted 14 years agoTo at least explain the reason why I haven't been updating or submitting as much content as before, I've been heavily focused with the development of this new video game project of mine.
Most of you may not even know about it, but remember Runner? Basically, the concept of that game evolved. A lot.
This game eventually became GlowStone, an action-adventure RPG/beat 'em up. A playable alpha demo was planned to only be released when most of the game's basic systems and storyline were completed. However, Glowstone being presentable enough and today being Christmas, I can at least compensate my absence with this somewhat brief but playable demo of the project:
Glowstone - Early AlphaFIX.zip (MediaFire)
A few things here and there might seem out of place or incomplete, but this is all I can offer for the time being. As long as I can keep this up, I'll be sure to provide greater updates as of now.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year's to all.

Busy - Birthday
Posted 15 years agoAgain, I have to apologize for keeping updates at a snail's pace; I haven't had the chance to draw or produce work as much as before. Life's been a bit on the rough side for me, and I still have projects and a final exam to study for. In any case, I'll be sure to pull out surprises here and there.
With that said, I can honestly say today hasn't been very good. My internet access has been down for some unknown reason, and I'm left to resort to stealing a Linksys connection from next door, which its reliability isn't excellent to begin with. Nothing too great occurred today and my family seems like they don't remember my birthday at all, but that's all right. I couldn't be more than thankful for the things I already own.
In the end, I'll still be trying my best to see if I can make some time to submit a thing or two, for the sake of getting a proper update up and going.

Recent Updates - New Game Development
Posted 15 years agoTo fill in of my recent doings, I've been working with a new video game project, which finally doesn't involve robots and guns. Although, I honestly did enjoy designing Code, regardless of its obvious influence from Cave Story.
I'm trying my best not to spoil too much about the developing game at the moment, but those who are curious about what it is can take a look at this video Livestream recorded while I was streaming to a friend of mine: Runner - Early Footage
This is Runner, planned to be a unique combination of a brawler/beat 'em up and platformer, along with that very slight hint of RPG elements. I've been working crazy on this game, thanks to a sudden huge burst of inspiration from two days ago. It only took me about two days to get this far, but there is still much to be developed.
That being said, unfortunately this also lessens my chance to keep those Everlast updates at a more consistent and quicker pace. If Runner doesn't manage steal most of my time (it probably will), I'll be trying my best to draw those next pages of the comic series. If anyone questions Rem's current existence, it is still under development as well, but is barely gaining any progress at the very moment.
But other than that, how has everyone been doing?

A Few Questions
Posted 15 years agoBeing the inconsistent and indecisive person I usually am, I might as well ask my watchers some questions that may help me break loose my final decision. As evident it may be, I've been having trouble getting myself to work with any of my recent developments, or anything for that matter.
What would you rather see from me nowadays? Shall I continue to develop the Everlast comic series, to draw more fan-based artwork and silly doodles, or would you actually prefer to have my indecisive mind work things out/produce anything at anytime in a highly random matter?
Any sort of feedback/answer/concern will always be appreciated. I just feel the need to kick myself back into productivity mode once again.

Productive Updates
Posted 15 years agoProgress Returns
So it ultimately turns out that I won't be attending college during the spring, which leaves me nothing else to do but stay home and relax. It really pains me, since I was really looking forward going to school. I grow to hate staying home for such a long period of time, mainly be unproductive overall. During this break, I'm going to try and make an effort to progress with any of my current developments, which highly includes the Everlast comic series and any of my recent video game projects (Code, Rem, etc.)
Speaking of Code, having to be experimental and bored at the time I created this modification for the fun of it:
Code - Wave X Challenge
I'm actually inspired to provide this challenge among the future release of the game. Who doesn't love a challenge?
I'm honestly disappointed that I won't be going to school to progress with my academic status, but I might as well make use of the time to be productive through other means. Sure, relaxing and doing absolutely nothing can feel great, but I no longer feel the need to do that, rather I grew the need to actually do something.

Birthday and Small Updates
Posted 16 years agoI probably won't be doing that much for the most part, but I'll likely be off to spend some time playing L4D2 through my older brother's Steam account, as I don't have enough to even buy the game for my own account. If not video games, then I'll be spending the time drawing things, progressing with my developments with Rem or Everlast, or actually go out and eat somewhere neat.
Other than that, as soon as I get most of my schoolwork and studies dealt with, I'm going to try my best to get Everlast and Rem back into development at a faster rate. The college semester is coming into an end.

Jammed and broken locked doors
Posted 16 years agoAfter the event in which I tripped and fell down the house stairs in a clumsy matter, let alone the injuries it gave me, I only realized that stress has really been affecting me after all.
It took me all day last Tuesday of this week just to get this flash animation done, which burnt out a great amount of my general motivation to being productive with anything. School has also been a pain to catch up with, just to keep my grades as high as they can be. I haven't been able to get myself to draw up that Everlast page because of all of this, so that won't be turning up this week at most, and I really apologize for those who are keeping up with the comic. Maybe a can of energy drink would be of more use at this time around.
I can't promise I'll be able to provide any sort of contribution anytime sooner at this rate.
Also, if anyone catches the reference that is being made in the title of this journal, you win a prize.

Summer Update - Rem Updates
Posted 16 years agoSo it turns out that I wasn't really able to get much done with Rem this summer. Too many events occurred this season that I wasn't even able to return my focus to Rem at all. Hopefully, when school begins, I will be able to get myself back into it's development and progress with it. Being around the college community actually gives me the chance to see some of my friends in person, which most of them happen to be part of the development team for Rem.
All I have been doing as of now is spending most of my spare time getting back into drawing and painting. I've also been having much fun playing TF2.
Updates:
I am finally able to continue with Rem's development. I even went on and recorded some gameplay footage to present its current progress:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BEk0L2Wl7o
You can expect much more coming from Rem this upcoming Fall.

Summer Plans
Posted 16 years agoFrom this day and onward, I will be setting Rem into highest of priorities. I will be attempting at my fullest efforts to progress the development of that game project.
I will also try to get commissions finished off while my free time is at its biggest. Overall, don't expect me to draw much this summer, as my focus goes mainly to Rem this time.
A great friend of mine is saving up and to buy a newer laptop that I can work with, rather than this old one I still use even by this date. The main purpose of this laptop is to speed up my progression upon Rem's development.
Also to mention, I just found out about and played through Cave Story last week. That game is really awesome and a great inspiration. I've already started my minimal items playthrough yesterday. Even after going through so many deaths, this game still continues to keep me addicted.

Commissions
Posted 16 years agoI was finally able to register for a PayPal account, which now brings me open to commissions.
Prices:
MS Paint doodles - $1.50-2 USD
Digital artwork - $3-5 USD
Payments are done through PayPal. Originally payment should occur after I draw up the commission, but anyone can pay whenever they desire. Anything given higher above the set prices is always greatly appreciated.
I'm fairly decent when it comes to drawing simple or cartoon characters. I still have some difficulty drawing actual human anatomy, so it's recommended to commission another who is actually great at drawing their anatomy and perspectives and whatnot. VB
If there are any other details or concerns anyone would like to discuss about about or are interested in a commission, feel as free to reply here.

I really don't have anything special planned out just yet, but if something does come up, it may explain my possible inactivity over the internet.

Updates
Posted 17 years agoI rarely ever have the chance to upload my works through here, but I am attempting my best to get as much stuff as I can into here.
With college and other matters going about, I rarely ever have the free time to do anything.
And with that said, how is everybody else doing out there? V:

A (sort of) small question...
Posted 17 years agoI've actually drawn plenty of pokemon-adult stuff myself, would any of you mind if I submit them up here? :0
I'm new
Posted 17 years agoJust found out about FA from a couple of friends of mine. I'll be uploading some music tracks and artwork here as soon as I get the chance.
