Commissions Now Closed for a good while!
Posted 7 years agoHey guys! Long journal here with lots of info for folks waiting on commissions! (TLDR version at the bottom)
Wow! Heck thank ya'll so much!!! I managed to fill up on commissions for now! And I will now be closed for work until I catch up on my backlog! I can't even express how happy I am to have the stress and anxiety of being able to fix my car off my shoulders, as well as the financial security to get by the next week or so while I get my plans in motion.
Currently it's still gonna take me some time to finish up all the work I have, possibly a bit longer than I've said/quoted in the past. I deeply apologize if I've given out bad deadlines in the past, I'm hella ambitious when I make my plans and random shit keeps getting in the way (i.e. things taking longer than expected and my lack of accounting for the occasional slow day due to bouts of depression, or just ultimately needing a day to clear my head because I cant be creative 24/7)
I know a good few folks aren't happy about the wait and I'm hoping those of you can be a bit more patient because I truly wanna fix my mistakes here. Not trying to make excuses but the last year has been rather rough, particularly emotionally for me even though I have a hard time expressing that side. As of now I'm taking the best course of action to correct all that. The majority of ya'll have been wonderfully patient and understanding. I thank ya'll so much! I see ya'lls comments even if I don't reply and it means a ton to me. And as of now my list will only get shorter.
Sorry for those of ya'll that missed out this time! Hopefully I'll be able to knock all this out as quickly as I idealize so that I can get back on track and actually take commissions properly without a wait.
My goals right now are to focus on getting my car in good shape over the next few days, as well as wrap up the stuff thats already in-progress. It's nothing major for my car, but it is a lot of small things that all added up quickly that need to be taken care of before I start using it for Uber and stuff. (i.e I definitely need to have oil and transmission fluid changed, new windshield wipers, emissions done and tags and license renewed as well as get it cleaned really well)
As for the month of August, I'll be wrapping up the work I've already started, and then jump on my next round of sketches around the middle of next week. My goals are to knock out commissions in batches by the month I've taken them. At this time I honestly can't say how long things are going to take or give out a good deadline because I'm not sure how doing a side job is going to effect how much time I'm gonna be able to put into art. Needless to say I am gonna bust my ass working as hard as I can to keep up and meet my personal deadlines the best I can.

*** UPDATE! *** Hey ya'll, I've still got 2 spots open for this that I need to fill ASAP!!! If I cant get my car fixed this week everything is going to fall apart this month. I'm skating on super thin ice right now and I still need $200 to finish fixing my car so it can pass emissions so I can get my tags renewed (which have been expired for the LAST ENTIRE YEAR) so I can start driving for Uber to cover my bills instead of taking on more work.

Final Round of Commissions! Sale on Music Themed (5-7 spots)
Posted 7 years agoHey guys! I’m opening for one last small batch of commissions! I’ll only be taking about 5-7 spots this time so that I can cover food costs and a bunch of minor car repairs and the last $100. (i.e. oil/transmission fluid change, figure out why my check engine light is on, windshield wipers and a few other minor things I’ve been neglecting for the last year. I’ve also got emissions /tag registration and license renewal coming up in August so I’d like to take care of these things ASAP!)
My intent is to get my car in working order so I can start doing side work for uber/lyft and other such jobs while I catch up on my backlog. Currently the spots I’ll be taking for this won’t be started until late September/October. However after this batch of commissions I will no longer be accepting commissions after this for several months while I knock out my backlog, as well as look for other jobs.

Posted 7 years agoHey guys! I'm getting rather desperate for work right now. I've been working my ass off all month long in an attempt to try and fix my mistakes and catch up on overdue work. I haven't advertised for a few days because I'm absolutely sick of begging, but getting work this month has been harder than pulling fucking teeth. I can't work any freakin harder than I already am and I still have a lot of bills to cover, and not to mention need to start taking work for next months bills as well....
Please, if you have the patience to wait a couple of months for a commission, I need all the support I can get right now while I'm working 80+ hours a week to catch up. So stuff I'm taking on now I'll be getting to in September!

Posted 7 years agoHey ya'll, so I posted an update journal a few days ago, but I'm gonna change what I said for that. Long story short I ended up a little burnt out/art blocked on this past Friday. Sat staring at my computer screen for 3 hours and couldn't make shit happen, and after working two weeks nonstop with an average of 10-14 hours some days, its no wonder. So I took a little time for myself over the weekend and now I'm feeling much better.
I'm still pushing myself super hard to catch up but it's a struggle to find a fine balance between working nonstop and constantly being creative. I feel really bad because I wanted to get out a bunch more sketches before this week, but I've kinda hit a wall. So what I'm going to do is finish what I have in progress right now and pick back up sketching once I'm done with that (seems I only do well with sketching smaller batches of stuff)
So that means its gonna be a little longer for some folks to see sketches from me, but ultimately I dont think thats gonna effect my overall plans for finishing stuff. (I should at least be able to finish the December stuff by the end of the month even though ya'll are next to be sketched)
Again as always I appreciate everyone's patience and support. Its been a rough summer and I'm chugging through best I can.

Commissions Update + Still open for a few spots!
Posted 7 years agoHey guys! Thought it'd be a good time to post a quick update on my list! Been powering through a bunch of sketches and feel like I've been making some great progress so far! Currently my plans are to finish up sketching stuff from November and December, and then switch gears and knock out the stuff I have in progress before the end of the month. (sketching takes the longest for me out of anything so should be quick turn around once I start completing things) As is I was aiming to have the sketching done by the 15th, but it may take me a few extra days to do so. (in fact I'm gonna take a break from sketching today to clear up a bit of art block to pump out some easy linearts)
Was going to try and fit January into this sketch batch as well but I'm already really itching to finish off what I have started already. So if all goes well I'll be able to start sketching those towards the end of the month. And then after that I should be making even quicker progress since I have a bunch of smaller pieces in my list after that point! So far I'm not sure how that will effect my end goals (essentially be caught up by mid-October) but I am working my ass off to fix my situation.
As always I hella appreciate the patience and support! I know I'm quiet at times, but I can't thank you guys enough for helping support my art through this rough ass year.

Opening Commissions Later Today!

In other news, I've still got my backlog that I'm working on, so I'm really far behind and working my ass off to catch up. so what I'm taking now wont be done until september most likely. (aka I'm trying to shove 3-4 months of work into one and I'm not sure how well thats going)
Currently I am working on getting out sketches for everything from November-January (maybe February if I can swing it as well) over the next two weeks. and finishing all of that up by the end of the month.
In other news, I've still got my backlog that I'm working on, so I'm really far behind and working my ass off to catch up. so what I'm taking now wont be done until september most likely. (aka I'm trying to shove 3-4 months of work into one and I'm not sure how well thats going)

Back from moving! New schedule and other updates!
Posted 7 years agoHey guys! wow! I just realized I forgot to post a journal before my move! Long story short I just moved across town to a new place over the past week and just finished getting settled! I'm excited to be in a new place and am really happy with my new bedroom/office setup. I'm also stoked my rent dropped a good bit so that's one less financial stress! However the move has been a big distraction lately so I apologize for slow responses and lack of progress. Between planning packing moving and everything I haven't been able to focus as well over the past few weeks and it took a lot more out of me than I was expecting but now that I've finished setting up my new room I can finally hunker down and pump out a ton of art.
I hella appreciate the support, patience and help from folks! Today I'm catching up on stuff, missed messages and setting up a daily schedule to try and stick to and finally get back to making some awesome art!
Currently my schedule for working on and catching up commissions is:
- Finish anything I have in progress over the rest of this week and some next week
- I will be then sketching A LOT of commissions. Instead of working on stuff in small batches like normal I want to try and get out sketches for at least everything up until stuff from January, maybe all of February as well. So might not have a lot to post here but I will definitely be making a lot of progress
- I may work on or finish a few pieces at random during this just to break it up so I'm not only doing sketches, or if I am really hyped up about a piece
- Was initially hoping to have that finished by the end of the month so July I can just turn around and finish it all, but I'll have to see how far I get by then.
Rough plans (These are my ideal goals, which are a bit ambitious, so they may be subject to change)

Open for Commissions! (August Completion) Only half full!!
Posted 7 years agoHey guys, here's an update to my plans for this month, and additionally I'm open for more commissions to be completed in August. Because of my upcoming move my work schedule is gonna be a little hectic, but I'd really like to press forward and finish up all my overdue work from last year. I've had a few missteps in my productivity over the last month but I'm really hyped up to get a ton of stuff done. My rough plan is to be moving 2 weeks from now starting on the 15th. As a heads up I most likely wont be reachable during my move until the Tuesday following that weekend. But I'll post a reminder about that when I get there.
In the mean time I don't have any particular work schedule to post. Between moving and everything else I don't want to try and figure out deadlines between now and then, and I'll be working on a lot of stuff at random. This week I'll be wrapping up a few more commissions and start sketching a bunch of work. If I don't get burnt out from it I may just spend the next two weeks sketching out as much work as possible so that after I move I can spend a few days busting out linearts and blowing through that list.

Posted 7 years agoHey guys, here's an update to my plans for this month, and additionally I'm open for more commissions to be completed in August. Because of my upcoming move my work schedule is gonna be a little hectic, but I'd really like to press forward and finish up all my overdue work from last year. I've had a few missteps in my productivity over the last month but I'm really hyped up to get a ton of stuff done. My rough plan is to be moving 2 weeks from now starting on the 15th. As a heads up I most likely wont be reachable during my move until the Tuesday following that weekend. But I'll post a reminder about that when I get there.

Quick Update
Posted 7 years agoHey guys! Here's a quick update cause I know I havent posted anything in a bit. So I'm still way behind, had a few setbacks this month. Long story short I am moving coming mid June, which although isnt gonna be super hard, has just been mentally stressful trying to prepare for it, so its been a little hard to focus fully on art. So until I've completed my move things are gonna be a little hectic. I don't have exact dates (roughly 2 weeks from now) for when I plan to move yet, but when I do I'll be taking 4 days off to move and get settled (I'll post about that once I figure out exactly when)
Fortunately, I feel once I'm settled, I'll be able to relax, and just focus fully on art again. Still gonna do my best between now and then to get as much done as possible.
Also I do have some art to post, at this point I've just been lazy about uploading it! So tomorrow when I open for commissions to pay for bills and cover my moving costs I'll also post some stuff! :D
Fortunately, I feel once I'm settled, I'll be able to relax, and just focus fully on art again. Still gonna do my best between now and then to get as much done as possible.

Posted 7 years agoHey guys! Just a quick update! It's been a hectic week this past week and had a few issues over various minor things that ate up a lot of time, among which I had my credit card info stolen, but no worries, that's already been taken care of and fixed. On top of which I've been stuck on a few heavily detailed pieces that took a bit longer than expected but wrapping up the last of those today, so feels like I haven't made much progress lately. So I'm gonna take tomorrow to recharge and figure out a schedule so I can really start cracking down again.
Currently my goals for next week is just to spent the entire week sketching a ton of stuff so I can just blow through it by the end of the month. I'll see where I'm by the end of the week.

Posted 7 years agoHey guys! So unfortunately I'm a bit behind where I wanted to be by the end of this month. I had hoped to finish my October and November work by now, but hit a few snags over the course of the month so some pieces took a little longer to get out than I had hoped. However I'm getting back on track to finish all of that next month though. and ideally December stuff as well. Still gonna take me time to catch up on everything, but I'd rather take the time to do my work right than rush and not put out quality stuff. This summer is gonna be a bit tough, but I think I'll still be able to catch up on the majority of my work by/in August.
As a heads up I'll be moving sometime in early June. The lease of my current place is up and me and my roommates are tired of dealing with our shitty landlord so we've decided to find a new place to live! Fortunately for me that means my cost of living will be dropping and ultimately means less work I'll have to take on and the faster I'll be able to catch up. However, for the time being making plans for that and getting ready for moving might eat up more time than I'm planning for.
As usual I'm going to be open for commissions to help cover bills between now and then. These will most likely be for late June or July completion
