so me and my mate are heading to AC this year, but we kinda need to find a room since our previous plans fell through. It doesn't really matter which hotel it is either. We will have 2 fursuits with us also but they dont take up a lot of space. We are friendly, respectful, we also shower everyday so that's a plus. We will of course pay our share of the room upfront if need be. I think we will be getting there on friday and staying till sunday most likely.

*Update*: So now I have received a letter from a collection agency for my overdue phone bill of $290. I just can't win. So I really need some cash so I can pay these things off. So now I need to try and make $461 dollars by the end of the month.

Ok so pretty much I hate begging but I really have no other option at the moment. I have a health insurance bill that is about $317 bucks right now since I wasn't able to get money in time to pay, and I can only assume its going to get larger. Finding a job or any freelance type of work around this town is tough, even selling things here is tough. I want to pay this off before it grows, and I may be getting 100 bucks tomorrow hopefully since one of my cousin's coworkers is buying a old AC unit from me. I also have about 46 bucks in the bank. I only need about 171 bucks if I want to pay it off by the end of the month.

So I'm planning on doing a Halloween get together at my place here on Halloween mostly cause I haven't thrown a party yet and I have the space to do so now. Sadly we wont have many Halloween decorations but it will still be a costume booze fest. Will have beer pong going possibly, a marathon of all the classic horror movies from the 60's to the 90's and maybe some of the non sucky newer ones. There will be brownies and food possibly but if ya want to bring some food,drinks,or booze to contribute go right ahead, would defiantly help.

The party will start around 7:00 pm and last till whenever. There will be some crash space available for those who have travel a far distance, so no worries there.

So I just saw this little breakdown post on a blog I follow and thought it would be a interesting meme for those who suffer from S.A.D or just anxiety in general. This would also kinda help explain to people of what I tend to go through on a daily bases.

1. Using a telephone in public

Usually I rather text then talk on the phone. If it's really important or need to relay a message fast I would accept a call or call someone else, but for the most part, texting is way easier.

2. Participating in a small group activity
Fear: 2| Avoidance: 2

It all depends on the group really, if its people I know, i'm not as nervous, but if its complete strangers I tend to stay quiet and let the other people talk and discuss stuff, as I just shake my head yes or no in agreement of what they are saying. It also depends on the subject matter, if I know what it is, i may participate a little more then usually, but if i don't know a thing about it, i just sit there and hope no one asks for my opinion on it.

3. Eating in public
Fear: 3| Avoidance: 2

My main fear of this is that I fear i'm being judged constantly by how slow I eat, or how I cut my food, or how I eat one section of food at a time. I get incredibly nervous and anxious, when everyone is finished eating and i'm still only half way through my meal. Then I see them looking at me and then my food and then I feel like i'm a inconvenience, cause they want to go some where and i'm holding them up. There is more to this but too long to type.

4. Drinking with others
Fear: 0| Avoidance: 0

This I have no problem with, cause booze usually loosens me up and makes me less aware of myself and how I'm acting. When sober, I tend to focus on everything I do when in a social interaction, but when drinking, I just don't give a shit anymore, cause everyone else around me is the same way.

5. Talking to someone in authority
Fear: 3| Avoidance: 3

I have a big problem with authority, I despise it, but yet if i'm being talked to by a manager, parent, cop, or anyone that has more power then me, I feel like im 5 again, and that I have done something wrong. Usually at job's, I was terrified to ask the manager about a project or to request a day off or even correct them if they messed up my schedule for the next week. I usually just sucked it up and delt with it, so I didn't have to deal with being shot down, or judged by the person in charge.

6. Acting, performing, or speaking in front of an audience
Fear: 3 | Avoidance: 3

This is a tough one for me, almost like a dilemma. I love performing, making videos, acting, and all of that stuff, but again I feel that i'm not good enough, or how people would react to my performing. You would think fursuiting would let me be more of myself since i'm hiding behind a mask, but I get really scared when interacting with other people in suit. Scare i may cross boundaries, or piss someone off, or be too annoying, not active enough, maybe to over active,etc.

The first time i was ever on stage at a con was my first year of AC where I helped out with the Power Ranger skit, i was one of the puddies and the entire time on stage, i didn't look towards the audience, I just focused on not messing up, as soon as it was our cue to get off the stage, i made sure i did. It was a fun skit and all, but was nervous and scared as fuck.

7. Going to a party
Fear: 3 | Avoidance: 3
If it's a friends party and I knew some people there, i would go with no problems, but if its a party that someone invited me too, and I didn't know a single person, i would either not go,leave early, try to get other friends to come with me, or just sit in a corner somewhere.

8. Working while being observed
Fear: 3 | Avoidance: 3

I absolutely hate this, it tends to throw me into a full on panic attack. Most of the thoughts that go through my head during this is, "i hope i'm doing this right" , "they're waiting for me to fuck up", "there looking for a reason to say I did something wrong". "why the hell are they watching me, and not someone else".


9. Writing while being observed
Fear: 3 | Avoidance: 3

Pretty much the same as above.

10. Calling someone you don’t know very well
Fear: 2 | Avoidance: 2

I'm not as bad as I use to be, but I still try my best to think of other alternatives to contacting the person.

Usually I have no idea what to say, and rarely make eye contact, cause if i do i will think that they are seeing how nervous I am or think im lying or wierd or something.


12. Meeting strangers

I rarely talk to strangers unless its to ask directions or something, and that's if my phone dies and I can't use gps. Most of the time if i'm walking down the street by myself and i have to pass through a group of people, i tend to take out my phone and pretend im texting or doing something on it to avoid confrontation with the strangers.

13. Urinating in a public bathroom
Fear: 2 | Avoidance: 3

If there is a stall open or something, I will use that, but if there is only urinals available, i rather hold it then to use one and then have a line behind me waiting to use the one i'm using.


14. Entering a room when others are already seated

I freaking hate this, cause as soon as you walk in, everyone just stares at you, like you committed genocide or something, and then you can feel they're eyes just follow you to your seat, and feeling them judging you about why your coming in late, or they way you walk or something like that.

15. Being the center of attention
Fear: 3 | Avoidance: 2

If i'm not in a fursuit, I hate it, I even hate when its my birthday and people are singing me happy b-day and the spotlight is directly on me, and then having to blow out the candles and then being scared im going to fuck it up, or spit on the cake by accident. I rather just hangout with friends, and eat the cake, minus the whole song deal.

Another thing I hate, which has been recent, is that if i do something dumb or make a fool out of myself, within a day 10 other people know about the incident and always bring it up. About a few weeks ago, my cousin's wife's grandfather passed away and we had to go to a family thing for it at her grandmothers, and I havn't seen her grandmother in awhile so forgot what she had looked like. So when we pull up in the drive way, there is a old women standing outside, and i thought it was her grandmother waiting for us to pull in, so when i got out, i gave her a hug which is rare for me to show emotion like that, and then it turned out that it was the wrong person, it was her grandmother's sister, and she had never met me before in my life. I felt so dumb and embarrassed, and within 3 hours, 6 other people knew about what happened and asked me what happen. I hate when word travels so fast.


16. Speaking up at a meeting

I usually keep my opinion's to my self at meetings, and maybe talk to the boss about them later one on one when i get the courage too.

For the text posters
- I need a large enough photo, that has good contrast between light and dark areas. If ya had all black suit, or a really dark solid color suit, it won't look as great in the final product, i tried this with my suit and it came out crappy. So as long as there are some light colors on it, it should work fine.

- some form of text u want me to use, could be song lyrics, poem, something that describes your character,etc. Just send me a link or write out what u want the text to say.

For the Water Color Wallpaper/poster:

-Just a large photo of ya suit that is pretty clear, some noise is ok, but the clearer the photo the better the turn out will be.

So recently I have been doing some text art posters for people, and seeing that i'm in a tight spot now financially, decided to do them for some extra cash. Pretty much I will do them for about 5 bucks each. The only requirements i need from you is a photo you want me to convert into a poster and text you want for it.. It can be lyrics to a song, a poem, words that describe you or your character, etc. Just link me to a decent quality photo and make sure it has a good amount of contrast between shadows and highlights, if ya suit is all black or something, may not get a good result.

Since my grandmother passed away a few weeks ago, my aunt told me that it might be better for me to move back to my place in NC since there really isn't anything left for me here. I have to admit, i don't take big changes well but after a few days of thinking about it, I became alright with the decision. There is actually a lot of good that will come out of me moving back. I have my own house that is fully paid off, it's quiet and peaceful, i have a huge room that i can now re-design, I can now learn and try things I couldn't really do here in NY, can throw parties if i wanted,etc.

The only downside is that I will be moving on such short notice, pretty much 10 days from now. Didn't get a chance to say goodbye to friends or go out with a bang, but once i learn to drive and get my own car, i will be able to drive back up here hang with people, so it isn't all that bad :)

I may not have a phone for a few months, depending on if i can get some cash or a job right away to pay my phone bill, but if I can't will post a journal to let people know and of they want to get in contact to just send me a PM to get a hold of me.

I am going to miss NY and its craziness. Had a shitload of good times and memories here and met some awesome people. I hope to bring some of that NY flavor back to the south. The beginning has just begun, Allons-y!

So in the past few weeks I have been seeing friends post on twitter, facebook, instant messengers, and all other social media sites and or forms of communication vices talking about how much their stressing over finals for school. This has got me thinking, why all the stress? I mean for me I find that stressing out, pulling all nighters, destroying your social life, and going crazy all for some little test completely pointless. Most of the projects and test I took back in school which were suppose to help me with learning the subject didn’t do shit in helping me learn any of the information. Ok maybe I learned some amount but i’m going to go with at least maybe 20% worth of material and that isn’t even a high percentage to the amount of time studying, memorizing, researching, and stress that I had to go through just to get a passing grade. Honestly I just memorized enough to past the test and then after that I kinda forgot it all. Most people tend to do this anyway, they find out they have a test or a final and they spend days cramming the info in just to hold it long enough to spit it back on the paper to get a little red A to prove that they were smart enough. For me, if something doesn’t interest me or hold my attention, my mind kinda wonders off and doesn’t absorb any of the information that I was looking at or hearing.

Most of this rant is aiming more towards college then anything, I find college a bit of a scam myself. Your paying a shit load of money to be put in debt and to stress out all for a piece of paper to tell people “hey I’m smart now, I know what I’m talking about”. I find that kinda dumb in my opinion, why do people need a stupid piece of paper that was probably produced and copied at a Kinko’s to tell other people that your educated. In this day in age, knowledge is everywhere and easily accessible. The internet is a powerful tool to access all kinds of information on a wide variety of subjects. Books are another great source of information, specially if you want to make sure that the stuff your reading on the internet isn’t bullshit.

I pretty much self educate myself and I feel it has let me learned and remember information far more easier then having a ton of different subjects being forced into my head at the same time. I can find something i’m interested in and then focus on that subject and study it, letting me remember the info easier and faster. Jobs shouldn’t only focus on the people who went and graduated college but also focus some on the people who didn’t go to a college but taught themselves. Maybe they know the same exact information that the person who graduated college knows. But the thing wrong with society and our culture today is if you don’t have a collage degree, your dumb,lazy, and will amount to nothing in your life. That stigma is complete bullshit and puts down the people who maybe can’t afford college or rather not go since it’s not right for them. These people are missing out on opportunities that could push them forward in life all because a job doesn’t want to hire them because they don’t have that nice fancy piece of paper with there name on it. Sure they know all the aspects and knowledge of the job that their trying to apply for but again there is no way to prove it unless they have a sheet of paper to show the world that there “educated”.

This is pretty much the end of my rant, i’m just saying that all the stress,money,worry,and pain you put into a college education isn’t that big of a deal. Education is what you make it, and that you can get it anywhere at anytime. You shouldn’t have to worry about a test or a piece of paper to tell yourself or someone else that your smart and you are educated.

This is just my opinion and all, I mean if ya want to go to college go for it, specially if it does work for you, for me it doesn't do anything so i rather spend time learning things on my own at my own pace.
