I hope the first month of autumn been treating you well!
My previous blog post was about a half-a-year, so I thing it's time for another update.
I'm not much of a person for sharing personal updates, but the summer trip I wrote in the last blog post about went fantastic! I've returned about two month ago and since then I upgraded some of my cooking recipes, made an 8 by 8 colorspace grid from fallen yellow leaves, and now feel pretty optimistic about doing more arts.
The first thing on the non-personal updates agenda is my new website!
Some of my code-savy friends bashed their heads together in their spare time and made me this:
For the most part it looks exactly like my old himmis.carrd.co, with most changes made gone the hood.
The Wait-List received a major uplift, however! Tables should be easier to read at a glance, and individual orders feature trello-like Status tracking with hourly updates. The page is hooked up to the commission tracking thing I use behind the scenes, so it should stay up-to-date.
Unlike on carrd, I have full control over the content and it's styling, so the website is likely to evolve over time.

It's been a year since I've recovered from my previous dragon burnout, and I'm sad to report that I've only lasted so long.
I have a thing where the artwork is going smoothly after I've drawn the head to be pretty, or going hard as nails if I don't manage to achieve that. Right now I for the life of me am unable to draw the lizard-like heads to look appealing enough (for myself), and such commissions become a slog. The more dragon arts I post the more dragon come to commission, and now I'm at point where I'd like to take a break from this ouroboros cycle.
I'll be more than happy to draw you a fluffy or feathery noodle (i.e. Eastern dragons are NOT restricted).
But western and anthro dragons, wyverns and saclies in general will have to wait for a better time again.
Commissions that are already in queue (both paid & unpaid) are unaffected.
Commissions are Open au usual, with detailed tiers sold out for the winter and available for spring 2026.
I do expect to finish the current queue a month or two sooner, but if you'd like to grab a commission for this year - Speedpaints are open for the end of the year at the time of writing!

Posted 6 months agoThe wait-list is getting a bit long now, and for long-away slots I won't be able to promise a concrete deadline beyond "sometime in the beginning/end of a season".
As a kind of yearly tradition, I've made some updates to my commissions tiers. Nothing major this time as Drawing and Illustration tiers went completely unchanged.
Sketches were renamed to Character Portraits mostly because their quality (and the time to complete) went through the roof lately. I like it this way, so the old name no longer fits. Previously optional background is now merged into the base price.
As a new alternative, I'm adding a Speedpaint commission tier: Priced in a similar range as Portraits, Speedpaints share the ambition of a Drawing or an Illustration, while sacrificing rendering time to stay low-cost. It might interest someone who'd like to get a full artwork but doesn't want to sit trough the many-months-long queue, as Speedpaints use the plentiful Tier1 slots.
Also, every commission going forward will be also getting a 1 minute short timelapse in addition to the main deliverable files, so you can watch your commission slowly evolving from a blank page to the finished piece!

- Character references (no NSFW or fetishes please),
- What Tiers are you interested in,
- Your idea(s) for the artwork (or creative freedom, I'm good at it! =),

I'm closing on few last works from the giga-queue I took in November, which means I can finally offer some slots for full works again! Gotta do a fair bit of traveling this summer, so slots will be opened for one month at a time. That, and I'm still not sure if the pricing is in a good spot, so I may tinker with it from month to month.
Slots are NOT first-come-first-served and will be given out at the end of the opening week — to get an artwork from me, first contact me describing your commission, then on April 22nd I'll pick what pitches to draw (filling the open Slots listed). Generally I don't get that many commission pitches, so you are likely to get a slot if not this month, than the next. I also encourage to pitch for for several tiers at once, or maybe several ideas for several tiers, so, for example, that you may still get a Drawing or Sketch this month if I'll pick somebody else for Illustration.
Also, I currently don't draw Dragons (with the exception of long Chinese ones, non-anthro) — dragons were commissioned too frequently this year, and I'd like to draw something else for now. This measure is purely temporary and I will return them on the Commissions menu closer to the end of the year.
