...because I've been playing in the mud all day :V People think I just sit behind a steering wheel and step on the pedals all day. But sometimes I actually do work, too! Like, today for example. The place I was loading at was just a mud yard with some gravel tossed in. When your truck weighs 74,000lbs, you kinda sink straight down xP So got to muck around for about an hour while we dug it out and used one of the front end loaders to tow it loose. I'm covered in mud and gods know what else. I steenk. And I don't care, I love it!

So I'm still alive and kicking, despite my complete lack of activity here on FA xP My excuse? Well, I've started a new job, lifestyle really, as a professional truck buck. Meaning I'm one of the guys who drives those big old 18 wheelers back and corth across the country :P Since I'm new to the whole industry, my company has had me rolling with a mentor since the beginning of May. And after 50 hours behind the wheel I "graduated" up to running team with him. Which means the truck is moving for 22 hours each day just about every day of the week. When one of us drives, the other's bouncing around in the bunk trying to sleep. It doesn't leave me with a whole lot of free time, but I've gotten to see some amazing sights around the country so far. And can say I've been from Newark, NJ to East LA in two days xP My time with the mentor is just about done though. After that I'll have my own truck, so I'll actually have down time after working all day xP But I'll still be out on the highways, runnin through all the lower 48. So who knows, maybe I'll be rolling through your town next :D

Have you ever had one of those days that went well, yet you just feel incredibly depressed come the end of it? *sigh* Why do people think "cheer up" actually helps? If anything it just seems to make me feel even worse.

Firstly, I'd like to say thanks for all the people wishin' me a speedy recovery :) My jeep got totaled last night after some jackass slammed into the rear while I was waiting at a red light. It was a hard enough impact to crack the frame, buckle the doors, rupture the gas tank, and even break the brackets holding my seat in place. So, the whole thing is FUBAR. Thankfully though I'm not in nearly as bad shape :P Just a nasty case of whiplash, and a mild concussion from an unexpected make out session with the dashboard xP Dunno what happened to the other driver, the cops called for the EMTs soon as they arrived on scene since I was so dazed from the crash. Still pretty foggy today, can't really remember anything from the time of the accident 'til getting discharged from the hospital x..x Prolly doesn't help that this would be my 20-somethingth concussion... I need to start wearing a crash helmet xD
