Recently posted some old stuff with some of the drawings receiving minor touch-ups. By actually going through some old stuff I did discover some unposted yet perfectly presentable stuff, so I should be going through a phase of posting stuff there as an alternative to Twitter.
I am currently working on a few private commissions and some game dev work when I have the time and I have set a deadline for the end of 2024 for updates on my two current game projects. Both Soggy Horror and the Depravity Quest revamp have been updated to Unity 6 without any major issues. Both projects are currently getting some map and minor balance work and will likely get a devlog in a week or two.

General | Posted 4 years agoJust largely copying and pasting someone I responded to briefly regarding a guy that actually believes that cancel culture improves things .
I appreciate the words of encouragement that I've been getting, but I think it's best for us all to not get taken in by the petty drama that I often risk myself with whenever I do a collab.
I actually like my small corner of the internet and a few unhinged yet persistent individuals aren't going to change that.
I can be blunt with people when I find that they are being petty, inconsiderate or egotistical. Yet, sometimes I'm still shocked at just how some of the more inane people you run across online can cling to things a healthy person would either grow out of or just approach an individual if they feel they said something disagreeable. It's seriously gotten to the point where I am more worried on their behalf as they both let these thoughts linger on for multiple years now and refused assistance from others that would help resolve their issue.
As I've said in the past, those that push cancel culture aren't in it for resolving grievances I would happily help resolve if an old contact would actually take me up on. It's been more about chasing a perverted sense of justice that is ultimately best ignored to those that know better.
With that said most collabs and exchanges I've taken my chances with went really smooth and I was really able to learn from others that I wouldn't otherwise. Gotta admit I am proud to see those people drastically improve their art and move onto better things.

General | Posted 4 years agoHey all, hope you are all doing well despite that you all probably feel like you are stuck in purgatory with the ongoing pandemic and with our out-of-touch elected officials screwing just about all of us Millennial and Gen-Z's future at every turn.
Figured I would do a rare PSA that I have been looking for an excuse to do forever that you can safely alt+back, laugh, or wince at.
Anyone that knows me knows that I have detested the frequent grievance-mongering we have all ran across online for a while now since it's insincere, callous, and ultimately a waste of everyone's time.
We all get why we should work together to sterilize shit-stains the Onisions, Boogies & Zaushs of the world, but what really doesn't help is all the times we find out that yet again some semi-prominent individual or group in the dumber side of the community have created yet another anime villain because someone or someone semi-associated with that person said something they found slightly disagreeable or had a minor online exchange that didn’t go as well as they wished.
Often weeks, months, or even years after the fact. And then we come to learn this person failed to DM the individual they disagree with and they didn't bother getting a neutral third person involved to address their issue and instead constructed an attention-seeking narrative and constantly talk behind other's back.
What’s always frustrating, but not really shocking is more often than not, this person actively ignores friendly calls to reason and friendly gestures to address their issues despite them previously spinning a narrative that the person they accused of have the receipts that falsifies it. And then just act shock when people catch on and start brushing them off.
Ultimately these kinds of antics betray the goodwill of others and making the already hellish social media landscape of 2021 slightly worse.
The natural response seems to just be anti-social online, but I always found that response to be a cop-out. I instead think it’s best to just do your thing like nothing happened when you inevitably run across this kind of manipulative behavior and not give in to anyone disingenuous or those they dupe online.

SCP 2021 progress
General | Posted 5 years agoSince people keep asking me on when the next update for my two games I figured I will post a recent reply on my itch.io account regarding the next SCP update and do a short write up on the DQ RPG project that got put on ice.

"We plan to have (the next update) out in the 1st quarter of 2021 or in April. 2020 made things difficult for us, but there is a lot going on for that project in the background.
Keep in mind the game is still a single programmer/designer effort and the artists do other works to stay relevent.
In the background I am working on better stage scripting and improved enemy AI that will allow better levels & make boss fights a thing.
There is also work on a nice save system, an improved inventory/skill system as well as animated text effects and of course the upcoming 15.ai improvements for dialogue.
We also want to add a good bit of new pixel art, art for cutscenes and we want to touch up some of the old art."

I am usually timid with these, but I will be doing the run through December and January for either MLP game stuff or just regular digital. I will only be accepting 2-3 max and will only accept commission I think I can deliver on.
The latest example of my work can be found here and here.I also do pixel work which can mostly be seen in my yearly SCP game and on my gallery. I am a novice artist that does this part-time as a hobby so my prices reflect that.
Note me if interested and I will try to get back to you in a timely manner.
My quote will depend on the complexity of the character. I generally quote $20-25 for flat coloring and anywhere from $30-40 for shading, lighting & a minor extra or two for a single character. I don't charge any extra for gradient/simple backgrounds and simple alts. An additional pose or second character comes at half cost.

Just putting out a real quick status update for my followers.
I decided to put game coding and design work on the backburner and I will be focusing more on the art end of things for March.
There is a high likelihood that you might see something by April and I can confirm that I will still work on scp update for this year since that was supported.

Finally got the long requested feature of letting enemies have custom KO animations as well as optional cut-scenes for them. It only took us 5 years just to go in a full circle.
Reworked Trixie so she has a unique playstyle over AJ.
Added buttslam and a bunch of animations for both playable characters and their two states. Additionally AJ in her has limited horizontal movement during the drop.
Added a new lighting system.
New Minimap system ala super metroid/castlevania SOTN.
Bunch of new stages and changes to the old.
Enemy AI improvements and quite a few new enemy types and new animations for existing.

I'm still making good progress with Mono Game port when I can and I'm currently attempting to add more advance features with the RPG and Platformer that will hopefully pay off down the line. It's mostly been AI, management and menu stuff for the RPG. And Metroidvania and save game logic for the Platformer. I also have been looking into interesting new abilities that work with the kinda game I want to build with both of those.
Stuff I am happy with the Platformer will likely be ported over to this year's Spoopy.
And as always, a big shout out to those that support what we do.
Oh, and if you paid the asking price for the bundle ($5 or more) recently and want access to the other game, just note me and I will be happy to link it to you.

Mid June Games Update

If you would like access, they are only $3 or more for all updates and access to their art folders on Itch.io. The Terraria supporter folder will also get an additional freebie game or two that includes some platforming stuff that didn't make the cut for the small MLP "Spoopy" game I do every year.

Early June Update

I'm currently finishing up a few things for the roguelike and platformer during the weekend. I should be able to upload more things for supporters in the coming weeks as well as more art.

Depravity Alpha 1.5 Test + new game art is up for supporters
General | Posted 6 years agoCheck the cloud drive I provided you for the test version of the upcoming version and some new art. It includes all the features that were talked about in my last journal. Don't be shy about sending me a note if you lost the link.
Debug mode has been enabled on this version. Press f12 to access it and use insert - page down for the debugs/cheat commands.
Pressing C now open up your Character stat screen.
5/12
- Added 2 new abilities.
- Removed the Q skill book system. Player now choose what 3 main abilities they want through levels 1-3. Also programmed the ability to respect skills and gained stats.
- Added some new AI scripts Including the NPCs now wandering around a limited part of the map without making any narrow areas impossible to enter or exit.
- Added a bunch of new negative status. Most of which are currently unimplemented.
- Added two new diaper types.
- Gave the player a charm wand that can be used to charm some low level monsters at the start of the game.
- Improved the companion a bit.
- you can use items on the companion by hitting x and selecting her when you are next to her.
5/13
- All stats now handled with the standard 6 DnD attributes, this includes your Regen rate which is tied to vitality for hp regen and intelligence for mp
- the traps are now hidden by default and are detected through a perception check. Companions can now trigger them too.
- Invisibility is introduced and you start with 3 items for it on normal difficulty however not all enemies are rigged to react to it correctly
- Several minor bug fixes
- Completed the open cave map generation
- Added Building at Forrest map
- More variations with map gen
5/19
- Added new items, equipment and enemy types. These of course include new diapers and bab stuff
- Expanded on the critical (s)hit system
- Improved the companion AI so they are less likely to commit suicide
- You can now finally properly change the companion and she can get a rash if you wait for too long with the usual penalties
- Having a Rash now only drains 1 hp per 10 turns rather then every turn
- Re-factored the ability and stat selection; You now have more options on a level-up
- Enemy cloaks, curses and binds now use a channeling system. Enemies have to spend X amount of turns focusing on their special and it can be interrupted via damage.
- All buffs and debuffs now take effect immediately rather then some poisons and binds taking effect the turn after you were given them. Prior to this you could get in a binded state even after you finished off the enemy that hit you with that effect the previous turn.
- You can now close doors by hitting x and selecting a door you are next too.

- Added a 5th equipable item called "Relics"that are manually equipped.
- Loosened up the Weapons restrictions so every class can equip every weapon type provided they meet the stat requirement and use it's Q-Skill. Previously Warriors could not equip bows and staffs and Mages couldn't ever equip bows and two-handed stuff.
- Expanded the stat system quite a bit as well as the regeneration system.
- Minor AI work. Still a lot to do.
8/31 Final Alpha 2 Test is release.

Debug mode has been enabled on this version. Press f12 to access it and use insert - page down for the debugs/cheat commands.
Pressing C now open up your Character stat screen.

- Added 2 new abilities.
- Removed the Q skill book system. Player now choose what 3 main abilities they want through levels 1-3. Also programmed the ability to respect skills and gained stats.
- Added some new AI scripts Including the NPCs now wandering around a limited part of the map without making any narrow areas impossible to enter or exit.
- Added a bunch of new negative status. Most of which are currently unimplemented.
- Added two new diaper types.
- Gave the player a charm wand that can be used to charm some low level monsters at the start of the game.
- Improved the companion a bit.

- All stats now handled with the standard 6 DnD attributes, this includes your Regen rate which is tied to vitality for hp regen and intelligence for mp
- the traps are now hidden by default and are detected through a perception check. Companions can now trigger them too.
- Invisibility is introduced and you start with 3 items for it on normal difficulty however not all enemies are rigged to react to it correctly
- Several minor bug fixes
- Completed the open cave map generation
- Added Building at Forrest map
- More variations with map gen

- Added new items, equipment and enemy types. These of course include new diapers and bab stuff
- Expanded on the critical (s)hit system
- Improved the companion AI so they are less likely to commit suicide
- You can now finally properly change the companion and she can get a rash if you wait for too long with the usual penalties
- Having a Rash now only drains 1 hp per 10 turns rather then every turn
- Re-factored the ability and stat selection; You now have more options on a level-up
- Enemy cloaks, curses and binds now use a channeling system. Enemies have to spend X amount of turns focusing on their special and it can be interrupted via damage.
