FetishQuest Modtools Tutorials

What's new then?
- All the assets now have question marks at the top right of the editor. These will open up a help window that tells you what the asset is used for and what the different fields do.
- The RP (Dialogue) editor has been reworked and now supports an outliner mode where you layout the RP via a visual node based UI.
- Added a dice rolling system where you roll a dice to see if you succeed at an action during an RP. With modifiers that can be linked to anything from proficiency to sexual alignment.
- Added a wiki with a bunch of tutorial on how to create some of the more complex interlinked assets such as dungeons, monsters, and abilities. You can find the wiki here https://wiki.fetishquest.com/index......tegory:Modding and it's also free to join and edit.

FQ Intermittent Outages
Posted 2 years agoIn case someone's wondering why you can't reach FQ. I'm doing some server updates. ETA another hour or so. But you may experience some intermittent outages for another day since I'm working on some related updates and adding a wiki.
FetishQuest Build 193
Posted 2 years agoNot a big update. I've been unhappy with the repetitive combat for a while, so I'm considering overhauling it. That's why I'm pushing the current dev branch to live.
Changes that I remember:
- Borm: Head west from the city to find the town of Borm. Currently there's only one quest, which involves the local Tentacle Wrestling Arena. Note: You'll need to be at least 2 players to do the arena, as it's a tag team event.
- New BDSM device: Vertical rack. A rack that lets you spin a player vertically.
- New texts
- New tags
- Vastly improved the way RP encounters can be done, by storing and running math vars on individual players.
- There is now only one type of block.
- Mimics are no longer allowed to wear the armor in them.
- Mini map now has icons
- You can now long press players you own to control them
- Added additional things to mathvars, letting you do even crazier spells
- Fixed broken arousal taken effect
- Fixed some spell texts showing up as double escaped
- The fraction randomizer now works correctly for negative numbers, meaning heals should now more closely match their tooltips.
- If you own more than 1 player, you can now type /rp during an RP to have a random player that you own pick a random option
- Made chat more compact
- Ctrl is no longer blocked in the chat bar
- You can now create global wrappers if you want to make mods that should affect all players at all times, such as global max arousal changes
- New enemy: Succubus. Found among other demons.
- Added system to have followers in the game.
- Reworked encounter difficulty calculations
- Added AI generated art to some NPCs. You can turn this off in settings.
Note: You will probably need to create a new game due to the block changes.

FetishQuest Hotfix (build 168)
Posted 3 years agoThis is a small update that mainly focuses on bug fixes and QOL features. This update has been applied to both the dev and live branches. Though on the live branch you may need a hard reload (ctrl+f5).
QOL Changes:
- Added a bunch more content to the help menu. This should hopefully help new players with things like multiplayer and what the different stats do.
- Modding: If you skip adding responses to a roleplay stage, a [Done] option will now be presented to the players.
- Editing a player will now let you preview what the player will look like in the different armor states.
- Items that can be re-equipped in combat will now glow in your inventory.
- Merged more of the blue wolf's texts into the main game.
- Modding: The check all button in libraries now only selects items from your mod.
- Added numbers on players in combat that show the current turn order.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a major issue causing quest objectives completed by visiting a dungeon to not complete, bricking the quest. Such as the church Malthereus quest.
- Fixed an issue causing procedural dungeons to not respawn until a refresh.
- Made VibHub loading optional, in case the VibHub server goes down.
- Fixed an issue caused by legacy stats throwing errors in the item generator.
- Fixed shops getting stuck to clients in netgames if a player change room while another had the shop window open.
- Fixed the annoying Y alignment issues on the bottom bar.
- Fixed a bug causing your gender preferences to be ignored 25% of the time.
- Fixed an issue causing NPCs generated during combat to not equip items.
- Fixed a bug causing the wrong NPC art to show on players generated in combat.
- Fixed an issue causing some game effects to be ignored for non-hosts in multiplayer games.
QOL Changes:

- Fixed an issue causing bosses to become friendly if leaving the dungeon or refreshing after losing to them. (Not sure if this fix has any side effects yet, try it and report back)
- Fixed an issue causing a battle to start against nobody in the first room of Anem'ogus lair.
- Fixed an issue causing Eris' room rental text to bug out.
- Fixed an issue causing bosses to become friendly if leaving the dungeon or refreshing after losing to them. (Not sure if this fix has any side effects yet, try it and report back)

After FuSeGa etc
Posted 6 years agoSo flash is dead, meaning FuSeGa and the sequel are dead. But I'm currently working on a webgl game that you can also play online, called Fetishquest. It's open source and you can play for free at fetishquest.com - patrons can also play updates a few months in advance.
