Does anyone know of a good thin and light gaming or ultrabook with a touchpad that has real actual two separate left and right mouse buttons in the normal location?

All the laptops that would otherwise be any good turn out to be garbage imo because the touchpad is that awful thing that integrates the left and right buttons into the touch area which fucks up what I wanted to do more often than crappy trackpads used to.

As I lie here in the hotel, not able to sleep, I think about what a great time I had. I didn't sleep enough, kept myself going on caffeine and not enough calories, and did stuff I wouldn't have done before. I managed to be more open and less shy than previous years and I can tell that did a ton to help me have a good time.

Being dressed up in my Ferro kigu was awesome. There were people who recognized me from Ferro and I got to meet a few artists who drew him, it was pretty amazing being recognized by people I've never met before!

And then the charity. They had such cute little kitties and the poor little guys where exausted at the end from so much attention. In the end though we raised 78 THOUSAND dollars. Like holy fucking shit that is a lot of money. Like maybe even furry convention record breaking.

So... Now I've written down my thoughts, I'm a little calmer and maybe I can sleep. I really do need it.

I can't wait for next year!

I made a journal like this for Ferro so I guess I'll make one for Lighting too.

His magic dutchie ability is control of static electricity/discharge and immunity from the effects. It doesn't cause his fur to stand on end and it can't burn or otherwise damage him. This even includes lighting since that is only a large static discharge. Since is has to be static electricity though, sticking a fork in a toaster still isn't a good idea.

Lightning's lightning pattern moves around because it is a static discharge traveling across his body. When he is calm and not trying to show off, it typically travels down from around the top of his body through his wings, and down his tail with small bits branching off in other places randomly.

As long as Lightning is calm he is perfectly safe to touch, and part of the lightning pattern will travel toward you just like it does in plasma disks and spheres. When he gets angry, sad, or other emotions that aren't calm, the static all over his body gets stronger. Normally this isn't too bad if he remains mostly in control if it, and ranges from causing the hair on nearby creatures to stand on end, some crackling, and static shocks that could be rather painful, but harmless.

He has a short temper, and sometimes he gets really mad. He has little control over the static discharges on his body when that happens and being around him is potentially dangerous. If he gets angry enough, he may even generate so much static as to cause full sized lighting.

Lightning can fully control static the same way it gets out of control when he gets mad, but he rarely does so because such large static discharges have a tendency to break things and harm living creatures.

Lightning can shoot static discharges out of his mouth! Well... he can generate them pretty much anywhere on his body to have them zap out. It just looks cool if they come from his mouth. He can also control the pattern on his body.

This is wip. I'll expand on stuff, add more stuff, and change stuff later. I'll also format it more nicely later too. I just wanted to finish getting ideas out of my head before I go to sleep.

I just realized I don't think I've ever seen dutch angel dragon porn.

So I searched for dutch angel dragon, general only. 16,660 results. Then I searched adult and mature only, 65 results. That's a 1 to 256 ratio.

I guess it makes sense though, since they don't have a reproductive system or even any internal organs. It's neat that this species pretty much followed those rules so well even though it got so large.

How would that even work? I want to see a taco dutchie but I don't have any money left in my art budget because I over-spent and need to save some more to go to MFF now.

I'm working out details of Ferro, here is what I have so far!
Part of this may be changed, or maybe it won't. I will have to add more stuff later because not everything is covered.
Dutch angel dragons are genderless. I refer to Ferro with male pronouns.

Name
-Ferro Giconi
-Pronounce as if these words are English, first I is a very briefly pronounced long E sound and second I is a more pronounced long E sound.
-Ferro's name means Iron Bird. (I wanted brass dragon but couldn't find anything I liked!)
-Ferro is a prefix in English and a word from other languages meaning Iron.

Skills
Ferro is very good at fixing and building mechanical and slightly magical devices. If it is mechanical, he can fix it.

Ferro is not good at fixing electronics. He can do basic things like make sure a fuse isn't blown or check if anything looks obviously burnt or melted, but beyond that he needs someone else to figure out what is wrong. If he is told exactly what to do, he can at least replace what is broken.

Magnets are a mystery to Ferro. He has tried to work them into devices, but they always get stuck to the wrong things. He has tried enchanting them to do what he wants but to no avail.
(Some have confused Ferro as meaning something about magnetism. It doesn't.)

Ferro is left handed and has very good motor control. The mechanics on his arm and hand improve this motor control even further using magic he has spent years improving. This allows him to accurately hand craft details so small a microscope is required to see them.

Wings
Ferro's wings were never very good. They have always been weak and they eventually became damaged to the point he couldn't fly at all. No one knew how to help Ferro with this problem, and even magic that should have helped didn't. Eventually Ferro had to painfully remove his own wings and replace them with mechanical wings fused to his bones for strength. Feathers from the original wings were reused as much as possible but are in somewhat bad shape.

Leg
Even with wings replaced, Ferro can't fly very well. The mechanics on his leg increase how much strength can be put into a jump to help make up for poor flight.

Metal Hoof
Ferro lost his left paw to injuries from jumping and landing too hard. He replaced it with a metal hoof and gave it all the magic he could to absorb impacts. It is enough for a comfortable landing from 18 meters high, and a painful, but serious injury free landing from 22 meters high. All the energy from the impact has to go somewhere though, and that usually means the ground beneath him. Concrete slabs are cracked, metal is dented, and wood is splintered into small pieces. He has made attempts to dissipate the force into the air but has been unsuccessful.

"Blood"
When cut, Ferro leaks molten brass. While Ferro can't be burned by his own brass, it is a searing hot 1100° celsius and will burn anyone else who touches it. Unfortunately for others, it is deceiving and some have been burnt. The brass that comes out of Ferro does not glow like normal molten brass, instead it remains brass colored and shiny with a high surface tension. It is much like mercury except that it burns stuff.

Abdomen
Ferro suffered major injuries on his abdomen (undecided cause). With help from a much more magical dutch angel dragon, he was able to build and enchant something like a generator to convert what he consumes into energy. He didn't have problems doing this before, but this improves the efficiency. He covers it to block the light when sleeping because the glowing can't be stopped unless Ferro looses all his energy. This wouldn't necessarily mean he is dead, but it would be a huge problem that he can't fix on his own.

Leather Belt
The belt around his chest is there to help hold some things in place. It is simple unenchanted leather with a brass buckle.

Lantern
The lantern hanging off his chest belt is the first thing Ferro ever built and enchanted at a young age. It originally used fire to generate light, but Ferro wanted something that flickers less and that could shine brighter so later on he learned how to give it a magical glow instead.

Pain
Pssh, pain? Ferro took off his own wings to replace them with something mechanical!
Actually that hurt a lot. Don't do it unless you really have to.

But not using that current thing that's going around. That one kind of bothered me, even though I know it's all supposed to just be fun and games.

I'm totally obsessed with being a furry, and I'm in love with my characters, and I'm definitely 100% furry. But I scored like 12 or 14% on that one after stretching the meaning of a couple of them. Posting that I'm only 14% furry just doesn't sound right to me when I know it's so not true.

My brother, I could say he's maybe 3-5% furry due to my furry influence, although he doesn't actively seek out furry related things. He'd score like 4 or 6% on that thing, but none of the things he can mark are even close to being what gives him that tiny percentage of furry. Like "you look for edible stuff often". That trait alone would add 2% to almost every teenager I've ever known.

What's with all the I'm not leaving FA journals? I haven't seen a single rage quit over the hack yet... am I just missing them all?

I'm not putting any effort into finding those kinds of journals but usually when something big happens where people also post journals saying they are staying, I don't have to put any effort into it, my skimming is plenty.

I was determined to get a hotel in the correct building for MFF this year, but alas I noticed the link posted on twitter 19 seconds after it was posted, completed filling everything within a minute, and still wasn't fast enough :(

I probably would have gotten that room if I had noticed the tweet 19 seconds sooner. Oh well, at least the nearby hotels are connected by a sky bridge.

It didn't feel like Star Wars, and it also didn't feel like Disney. I don't know what to think of it. The ending felt very anticlimactic too, but I guess it was one hell of a cliffhanger even though it doesn't really leave me wanting to find out what happens next. Did other Star Wars movies end on a cliffhanger? I don't remember any of them doing that in the past. I remember fanfare and celebration at the end of the other movies.

This really didn't feel like a Star Wars movie.

I'm back from MFF today~

DexterousZombie got most of my wolf shark partial to me in time for MFF(thanks so much!), so I got to wear that around the convention. This was my first* time going fursuiting. I'm very shy, introverted, and I hate being touched or being the center of attention. That just goes away while I've got the fursuit on. You've probably read it elsewhere from other people so I'm not going to elaborate a lot, but it's seriously amazing how that works and allows me to have so much fun and enjoy the attention I get when I'd normally be shy.

This year alone MFF raised nearly 25% as much as was raised in all previous years of MFF combined, a bit over $60k with $20k from con goers and $40k from MFF's extra money. It was really awesome at the last hour during the closing ceremony when we found out that the total donations were just shy of $60k and half the room got up and gave another $800 just so that number would go over $60k. I can't imagine how happy it must make the people at Save A Vet getting all those donations, and then after all that, half of the people in a large room give a little more just because.

Now with all of my stuff unpacked and put away, and TFF 2016 to look forward to in a few months, I'm gonna go pass out on my bed because I didn't get enough sleep for the last few days. I'm so happy to have my own bed to sleep on again!


* This isn't truly my first time fursuiting, but the actual first time which was at MFF last year doesn't count because I took it (the dragon partial) off after an hour and didn't put it back on when I discovered I really needed to be better prepared.

I don't really have much of a reason to but I guess I'll put stuff in folders now.

So I see a new shit-storm about mature ads here on furaffinity.

I haven't seen them because of adblock and I'm not going to disable adblock to see them, but I'm assuming they will have things like human porn if clicked on.
Do furries even care about human porn?

The ads started out not showing at all as long as I'm logged in and SFW mode was off. Good thing for me, I was always logged in and SFW mode was off.

I was going to not enable adblock on FA because I like to see the furry ads, and I sometimes actually click on them. These google ads on the other hand are as irrelevant as they could get. Cars, laptops, phone service, credit cards, software, cloud services... If I'm on FA those are some of the last things I have any interest in clicking on!

I didn't even mind the IMVU ads that sometimes showed in the place where normal FA ads were because they are static, small, and in the same not annoying places without the ugly eye catching colors often used in google ads.

Sorry to those of you who spend your money on FA ads, you've lost another potential viewer :(

also to add to the reasons I don't like the G Ads. I do not ever want a flash ad or an ad with scripts of any kind, EVER. FA ads are perfect because they are just a GIF which means no flash vulnerabilities to give me a virus. Although I feel safer about G Ads than other ads, they are still more than GIFs or JPEGs. I've been virus free for years now, mostly because I just know what to avoid, but also because an adblocker gets rid of that which I have no control over, the ads on a website.

I found this (fruit? vegetable?) called bitter melon at the store. I figured, I like bitter things like grapefruit juice, maybe I will like this.

First off, I have no idea why it's called a melon. It's seed, skin, stem, and "meat" structure matches things like chilies and peppers. Also it looks nothing at all like a melon, more like a shrived cucumber. Why on earth call it a melon??

So I took a bite of the thing expecting something bitter, but not overly strong. One little bite SO BITTER NOPE NOT EATING THIS *spits it out and throws the rest of it away*
