I'm working on a super fluffy LED lit umbreon yarn tail! It's not complete yet but omg the yellow ring is georgeous with the leds turned on. I spent a bunch of time trying to figure out how to capture the awesomeness of the glowing ring in a picture but so far have been completely unsuccessful. Hopefully I can figure out how to get a decent picture after I've finished making it.

I've completely fucked my sleep schedule over trying to complete this tail... oops. I'm getting very close to 80-90 hours with a total of only about 10 hours of sleep.

Mff was my first furcon and I had a great time. I even went in my fursuit for a couple hours which was great but wearing that thing is way more tiring than I would have imagined.

Everyone was so friendly, and I felt so welcomed that even going out on the streets with my fursuit on felt great. Even going to restaurants with a tail and ears on. Normally I wouldn't be caught outside wearing even a tail but non-furry people's reactions were great. Many of them just smiled when they saw whatever I had on at the time, and I liked the "wtf?" expressions too. Normally I HATE attention and would rather be left alone but something about being around so many other furries made me like the attention I was getting. This was the best time of my life!

To anyone who was there, thanks for being part of what made my first con so great!

I just counted all the data storage things sitting in my room at this moment. It totaled 29 TB. Out of that 29 TB, I can only use about 13.5 TB for my data because the rest is either for data redundancy (backups and raid) or the hard drive/SSD is being used for another purpose (holding up one of my monitors.)

That's a lot of data for one guy!

I want to commission something for Halloween like I've done the past few years. It needs to be full color and shaded with a detailed background and it will feature my dragon this year.

I discovered a new level of lazy this morning.

I wanted to know what time it was, but I was laying in bed, did I really want to make the effort of turning my head to look at a clock? No of course not!

I went to go help Nancy, an 80-something year old lady who isn't good at using a computer but at least knows how to get her email and stuff, and she is good about not getting viruses and other badness on her computer.

I went to her house to help her with some stuff, and she told me about how she made the mistake of having one of those companies help her with stuff on her computer instead of calling me for help. $600... SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS??? Fuck! For just 40 minutes of work. What a massive ripoff. I wish I made $900/hour. I'd have all the money I would need to go to all the furcons with a different fursuit and car every time.

I wouldn't have charged her ANYTHING, although she probably would have given me like $20 for the help anyway(like she did for tonight's 30 minutes of help). For a house call, $20 for less than an hour of work is probably reasonable.

Unless you are in a bind where you literally have no other option, don't ever even think about trying an internet support company. It's a terrible idea and one of your friends might be able to help you better than the internet based company.

I'm going to Midwest Furfest in December. It's going to be my first fur con! I don't think I could ever hope to have another con be as perfect for me as MFF will be. It's in December, which means I can still save all my vacation days from work for the end of the year, and it is only like 20 miles away from me. Since it costs $35 to get in for the three days, I only have to come up with money to pay for (probably)exorbitant parking fees in parking garages, and gas for my car.

I won't be going with my partial suit though, I hope to learn more about the con and whatever stuff, and maybe I can wear it next year if I go.

I recently got a totally awesome partial "fursuit" made by zarathus with a tail, gloves, and a head. I say fursuit in quotes because there isn't any faux fur involved, in fact the only cloth is the padding in the head. It is all made of leather.

I'm really shy and anti-social soooooo~ I'm going to take a long time to get used to this thing to the point where I will wear it in public. I started off by showing it to my brother, he is always the first to see new art or fancy dragon or pony things I get because he is either just going to say awesome or not really care at all and be done. Minimal reaction, minimal effort, no burden on my shyness. Next is my dad, because my brother will tell him about it. He will ask about it, and I will show him. He'll show interest in it and probably ask a couple easy to answer questions, as well as one I don't want to answer... How much did it cost. I'm not sure if he'd understand why such a thing is worth spending over $1k on.

So anyway, I worked up the courage to walk around outside wearing the partial suit for a mile or so but it was at 2am when there is no one outside anyway. It was defiantly some good experience though because now I know just how much the reduced visibility will affect me. I might have to get my brother to walk with me if I go out during the day so that he can look both ways when crossing a street(I had no idea this simple task would become so much effort!) or make sure I don't collide with someone when walking where two sidewalks intersect. I was able to look out for obstacles like large cracks in the sidewalk and large objects on the ground that might trip me even though it was dark out and my visibility was reduced, but only when I am walking straight. As soon as I turn 45 degrees or more in one direction I need to be careful to not trip on anything I might not see.

I'm not sure what my next step should be. Tonight I stayed on streets devoid of people and cars. It was fun, I'd see my shadow in street lamps every so often and rather than some human shaped head there's this head with a muzzle and spikes on top. Quite awesome. I think the next step is going to be to work up the courage to walk down a well lit street where a few cars pass by every few minutes. Maybe I'll actually get myself to the point where I'm not too shy to go out during the day.

I'd better be careful, I have a long history of finding something to be really fun and then not long after I totally lose interest and need something new, I really don't want that to happen with this.

What is a journal? It's been so long since I used a journal.

Anyway I just started trying to use dragon naturally speaking and decided to play minecraft using voice commands. Since I only just learned how to use it for commands I was pretty bad at it.

I was eating a steak quesadilla by taking a few bits of it then pouring some hot sauce in my mouth. It was going great, and then I accidentally swallowed some hot sauce. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but it ended up in my windpipe!!!

I had to struggle to not cough for the first few seconds while I chewed up and swallowed enough food to not spit it all over, and it fucking HURT.
