Less Than Approximately 9.398017e11 Metres Left...
Posted 10 years ago...well, if you are to believe Wikipedia and a moron with 8 hours of sleep at two in the morning.
Anyway, here's to optimism (or at least realism, I'll see if I can manage that) for the coming year.
Sorry for my incoherent rambling: it's late and I really cannot be bothered with quality right now.
My best wishes for your 2016. I know that for some of us, the past year has been a living hell.
Hopefully things are better at the next aphelion.
Oh, and before I go, I should state that I resolve to:
- Stop defeating myself and be more positive,
- Write a likely flawed scientific paper,
- Survive the anticipated high workload in order to attend the university I like.
What are your new year's resolutions?
The idea is really strange and, I suppose, human. The idea of celebrating the same things repeatedly and indefinitely. Perhaps it is some form of comfort as it lets us hold on to the past and recognise the future. (Well, at least until EVERYTHING is gone. Scarily, a supposition of M-theory/string theory states that the universe may experience another big bang spontaneously due to inter-universal collisions. [Citation needed.]
But that's diving into metaphysics at 2AM. Please. No.)Anyway, here's to optimism (or at least realism, I'll see if I can manage that) for the coming year.
Every year seemingly brings further self-enlightenment: I'm beginning to know where I stand and who I am (even if I don't like it :p. A flawed ensemble of goopy stuff.) Hah, maybe I'll be more accepting and calmer by 2017; I at least hope that the trend continues.Sorry for my incoherent rambling: it's late and I really cannot be bothered with quality right now.

Hermiting
Posted 10 years agoIt's time to hermit again. I'll be remote for ~8 days so I thought I better explain my absence before I go in case you think something is up.
I'm off to read stuff while on holiday with my family, which should be distracting at least (fewer distractions are good, right?).
For all Scotfurs my age who sat exams, I hope things have come through for you. The year has been quite stressful.
I should be able to talk when I get back but for now, bye.

Aww Yeah!
Posted 10 years agoMy exams are over! Finally, I don't have to study for 7 hours every day.
Maybe I can dabble in a few more creative streams. I have a few ideas of what I want to do.
It's great to have the time again.

Ideas Please!
Posted 11 years agoI think I might start writing again - if I can find the time of course. What I need is a list of ideas.
I'd like you to offer some ideas. If I like your idea, I'll start writing and hopefully submit it to this website with reference to you.
If you could offer your ideas like so:
1 - Genre
2 - Main Character(s)
3 - General Summary (a skeleton)
4 - Word Count / Length (be reasonable please)
5 - What You Want From It
Now please, have fun!

What makes a friendship?
Posted 11 years agoThis is going to sound really weird but could someone tell me what constitutes friendship?
I mean, I don't think I could easily differentiate between association and companionship.
Are there any signs? Is it to do with time or intimacy or frequency?
Is there even a definitive line that I should know about?
When does an acquaintance become a friend?

Hmm. So.
Posted 11 years agoIt's a funny world we live in.
If funny can be equated to complex and world to experience then we may have the makings of a relevant statement.
