Just waiting for bread?
Once I built a railroad, I made it run
Made it race against time
Once I built a railroad, now it's done
Brother, can you spare a dime?
Once I built a tower up to the sun
Brick and rivet and lime
Once I built a tower, now it's done
Brother, can you spare a dime?
Once in khaki suits, gee we looked swell

What Reportedly Happened After Suspect Violently Pistol-Whip
General | Posted 11 years agoWhat Reportedly Happened After Suspect Violently Pistol-Whipped a Man Is totally believable
One of the two thugs who violently assaulted a man in Detroit on Monday night was shot dead — by his own partner’s gun, police say. It was a freak accident that probably wouldn’t happen the same way if reenacted 1,000 times.
When one of the armed thugs pistol-whipped their victim, the gun reportedly went off, hitting his accomplice in the neck, according to Assistant Police Chief Steve Dolunt. The one shot proved to be fatal.
As the Detroit News’ George Hunter reports, the incident is part of a “wave of violence” that has hit the city. There have reportedly been 36 shootings and four deaths since Friday.
“It was a brutal weekend, there’s no getting around it,” Dolunt said. “A lot of these shootings couldn’t have been prevented. A lot of them happened inside houses, and we simply can’t be inside everyone’s home.”
While “crime is down,” he said there’s “only so much the police can do.”
As any one familiar with the fundamental NRA rules for safe gun handling could have told them this was a clear case of not heeding rules # 1 and 2...
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
This is the primary rule of gun safety. A safe direction means that the gun is pointed so that even if it were to go off it would not cause injury or damage. The key to this rule is to control where the muzzle or front end of the barrel is pointed at all times. Common sense dictates the safest direction, depending on different circumstances.
2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
When holding a gun, rest your finger on the trigger guard or along the side of the gun. Until you are actually ready to fire, do not touch the trigger.
And it couldn't happen to nicer guys... a shame the first guy don't shoot himself as well...

you know you've got, know you've got
My heart felt love, along with lust.
You command my heart, command my heart.
You know I am your thrall
I feel your love, feel your heart
Throbbing through muscle tensing so
It is ecstasy. mine ecstasy yours inside.
Bliss to be both master and slave
To love like yours, like I have known
Withering under, withering within captivity.

Heart undimmed by time, love burning bright.
you have crossed that river,

One day I shall come and in eternal herd run.

A million dollar idea...
General | Posted 11 years agoA million dollar story
I was asleep and just dreamed a story that would make a great pixar movie.
Setting a small rural community in the late 40's
A group of kids (Think our gang meets the goonies) get thrown out of their club house (The basement of one of the kids houses) And so looking around for somewhere to play/hang out decide to build a bridge over to a small island in the river.
Cam: a tall spindly kid who's pants are always to short who's a dreamer type (Steve jobs / Bob barker comes up with the idea.
Tyler / Ty: a short stout alpha male type (Terry Bradshaw / mickey Rooney ) Asks his uncle who works for the railroad for the lumber, from a old depot the railroad tore down. The wood is just going to be burned anyway so the uncle tells him to go ahead and take whatever he wants.
Ben: a classic beta male strong silent and good humored
Betty Ann: A tomboy we a lot of brains, fishing worms in one pocket and a slide rule in the other quick witted and strong willed
The rest of the gang are more or less comedy relief
Mr. Pasternak: The project goes as planned, and the bridge to the small island in the river is almost finished; when a local a poor immigrant who lives on the wrong side of the tracks / River discovers the kids build the bridge. And jokingly asks if they are building it for him, since he has to walk 6 miles out of his way to cross the river and buy food at the local / only grocery store. Hearing his plight the kids instantly decide to do just that, however the rest of the river is much wider, deeper and swifter than what they have already crossed
Uncle Emery: Tylers uncle is recruited after some argument to help them span the rest of the river, the railroad man enlist the help of some railroad construction workers. And help's the gang build a cable suspension bridge over the rest of the river and poor locals like Mr. Pasternak gratefully use it.
Time pass's the little town grows, open fields become house shops etc etc... However the little plot of land in the circle of it all stay's undeveloped, because who build the bridge is forgotten. It's on public land and the city thinks it's being taken care of by the feds, however it's just Ben who still lives nearby and take care of the bridge and land around it in his spare time.
Mayor Byden: A former land developer and now greedy politician, hear a rumor from a staffer (offspring of one of the old gang) That the bridge and land are not in fact federal land but public land, the mayor knows the one spot of undeveloped land is worth a small fortune. And so plots to uncover the true story and then take the land for the city and sale it to the highest bidder. He goes to one of his stooges in the local media with the story claiming he wants to honor the kids now adults. He gets them all to come to a grant event and tell their story gives them a small award and has the bridge destroyed at the same time. Everything is going as planned until the missing member of the old gang steps out to say a few words. Cam then spills the beans about the whole plot of why the mayor wanted to find them and what is going to happened etc etc. However Cam is a very rich guy he tells the crowd that although his name isn't on it most likely every computer, digital camera or small phone they are using he invented. He then explains that when the Mayor put the land up for sale he brought it... paying three times the market value to be sure he got it. And that he is going to turn it into a free public park Friendship bridge park and that the bridge isn't going anywhere!
Happy ends families enjoying the park... mayor indited

General | Posted 12 years agoYesterday we released an explosive interview with Romanian Lt. Gen. Ion Pacepa, in connection with the release of his most-recent title “Disinformation: Former Spy Chief Reveals Secret Strategies for Undermining Freedom, Attacking Religion, and Promoting Terrorism.”
Pacepa is the highest-ranking Soviet intelligence officer to ever defect, having come to the United States and received asylum from President Carter in 1978. Ever since, Pacepa has been writing in defense of freedom while living undercover due to assassination threats.
Below are 11 vital quotes from our interview. Be sure to check out our full review of the book as well.

1. On today’s Russia “The very idea that the Soviet Union was defeated is disinformation in itself. The Soviet Union changed its name and dropped its façade of Marxism, but it remained the samesamoderzhaviye, the historical Russian form of autocracy in which a tsar is running the country with the help of his political police…Russia today is the first intelligence dictatorship in history. It is a brand new form of totalitarianism, which we are not yet familiar with. Now the KGB, rechristened FSB, is openly running Russia.”
The very idea that the Soviet Union was defeated is disinformation in itself.

2. Russia as hypothetical post-WWII Germany run by Nazis “Is it too far-fetched to suggest that this post-Cold War Russia calls up the hypothetical image of a postwar Germany being run by former Gestapo officers, who reinstate Hitler’s “Deutschland Über Alles” as national anthem, call the demise of Nazi Germany a “national tragedy on an enormous scale,” and invade a neighboring country, perhaps Poland, the way Hitler set off World War II?”
3. President Obama and the U.S. ”Perhaps our book may also help President Obama abandon his craving for Marx’s utopian ideology, “to each according to his need,” which is transforming the United States into a decaying socialist country in all but name.”

4. On Disinformation and the re-branding of Pope Pius XII as “Hitler’s Pope” ”There is a widespread belief that the worst damage from Soviet/Russian intelligence operations against the West has been the theft of highly classified secrets, such as the technology for the atom bomb. Not so. The absolutely worst—and often irreparable—damage done to the Free World has been caused by the Kremlin’s disinformation operations designed to change the past…In 1978, when I broke with communism, I left in my office safe a slip of paper on which Gen. Sakharovsky had scrawled: “Gutta cavat lapidem, non vi sed saepe cadendo.” (A drop makes a hole in a stone not by force but by constant dripping.) That Latin saying, Sakharovsky explained, encapsulated the whole concept of disinformation and framing. Lying next to it was Mao Zedong’s version: “A lie repeated a hundred times becomes the truth.”
The Kremlin’s repeated lie that Pius XII was Hitler’s Pope has become the “truth”—a lie so firmly established against all evidence to the contrary, that for most educated people who have not looked closely at the subject, there seems nothing to discuss.”
5. The “framing” of Pope Pius XII and birth of international terrorism ”Both the framing of the pope and the threat of international terrorism were born at the Lubyanka, the headquarters of the KGB. Both grew out of the Kremlin’s anti-Semitism and its addiction to framing people and countries. And both were intended to slander and undermine the faith of the Judeo-Christian world, while at the same time driving a wedge between Jews and Christians.
That brings me to the crux of the matter. Anti-Semitism has always generated terrorism.”
6. The KGB plot to turn the Arab World against the Jews ”In 1972, during a breakfast in his office, KGB chairman Andropov told me that “our” disinformation machinery should ignite a campaign aimed at transforming Arab anti-Semitism into an anti-American doctrine for the whole Muslim world. The idea was to portray the United States as a war-mongering, Zionist country financed by Jewish money and run by a rapacious “Council of the Elders of Zion” (the KGB’s derisive epithet for the U.S. Congress), the aim of which was to transform the rest of the world into a Jewish fiefdom. Andropov made the point that one billion adversaries could cause far greater damage than could a mere 150 million.
The idea was to portray the U.S. as a war-mongering, Zionist country financed by Jewish money
Share:
The KGB boss described the Muslim world as a waiting petri dish, in which we could nurture a strain of hate-America. The Muslims had a taste for nationalism, jingoism and victimology. We had only to keep repeating, over and over, that the United States was a war-mongering, Zionist country financed by Jewish money, with the goal of taking over the whole world.
The KGB community threw millions of dollars and thousands of people into that gigantic project, as described in our book.”
7. On the true objective of the Cold War “The Cold War is indeed over, but, unlike other wars, that one did not end with the defeated enemy throwing down his weapons. In spite of the press coverage given to its nuclear competition, the Cold War was in fact waged primarily for the purpose of conquering minds, and it seems that the loser’s mindset cannot be changed from one day to the next…”
8. On the true meaning of glasnost “But for those of us who once led the Soviet bloc intelligence community, glasnost was a dezinformatsiya [disinformation] instrument used to embellish the stature of a leader, not a catchword for openness, as it has lately become known to the rest of the world. Glasnost was not invented by Gorbachev and it does not mean openness. Glasnost is an old Russian term for polishing the ruler’s image.
The Cold War was in fact waged primarily for the purpose of conquering minds
Share:
In the mid 1930s—half a century before Gorbachev’s glasnost—the official Soviet encyclopedia defined the word glasnost as a spin on news released to the public: “Dostupnost obshchestvennomy obsuzhdeniyu, kontrolyu; publichnost,” meaning, the quality of being made available for public discussion or control. In other words, glasnost meant, literally, publicizing, i.e., self-promotion.
Since the 16th century’s Ivan the Terrible, all that country’s leaders have used glasnost to promote themselves inside and outside the country.”
9. The Soviet Union devoted more resources to ideological warfare than standard intel-gathering “During the Cold War, disinformation and glasnost were a lot more important for the KGB community than stealing secrets…Classical espionage, like picking pockets, was an accumulation of one-time thefts. Our disinformation and glasnost techniques, on the other hand, were a continuous process, conceived to invade people’s minds and consciences and there to put down roots. That was the future. That was going to open up a whole new era in the history of communist foreign intelligence.”
10. On “Operation Ares,” the Soviet plot to build U.S. leftist anti-Vietnam resistance “In 1972, I had a long discussion with Andropov about this operation in his dark, cavernous KGB office, which breathed secrecy from every inch of its thick walls, just as his “Ares” did. “Our ‘Ares’ turned America against her own government,” Andropov started off in his soft voice. It damaged America’s foreign policy consensus, poisoned her domestic debate, and built a credibility gap between America and European public opinion that was wide and deep. Now all we had to do was to continue planting the seeds of “Ares” and water them day after day after day. Eventually, American leftists would seize upon our “Ares” and would start pursuing it of their own accord. In the end, our original involvement would be forgotten, and “Ares” would take on a life of its own. That was how human nature worked, Andropov explained. Our “Ares” would change America forever.”
11. The KGB flooded the world with copies of the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” ”During the almost two decades that I continued to remain in Romania, our intelligence community disseminated several million Protocols—translated into German, English, French and Arabic—to leftist organizations around the world, to mosques, and to countless people whose names were randomly selected from telephone books.
We do not have an instrument that can scientifically measure the results of disinformation operations. But it is safe to presume that the combined effect of spreading millions of Protocols around the world and portraying the United States as a Zionist instrument used to subjugate the world to Jewish interests played a role in generating the shameful anti-Americanism costumed in the robes of anti-Semitism that we are facing today.”

General | Posted 12 years agoMikhail Kalashnikov, whose work as a weapons designer for the Soviet Union is immortalized in the name of the world’s most popular firearm, died Monday at the age of 94.
Kalashnikov once aspired to design farm equipment. But even though his most famous invention — the AK-47 assault rifle — sowed havoc instead of crops, he often said he felt personally untroubled by his contribution to bloodshed. “I sleep well. It’s the politicians who are to blame for failing to come to an agreement and resorting to violence,” he said in 2007.
Kalashnikov died in a hospital in Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurtia republic where he lived, said Viktor Chulkov, a spokesman for the republic’s president. He did not give a cause of death. Kalashnikov had been hospitalized for the past month with unspecified health problems.
The AK-47 — “Avtomat Kalashnikov” and the year it went into production — is the world’s most popular firearm, favored by guerrillas, terrorists and the soldiers of many armies. An estimated 100 million guns are spread worldwide.
Though it isn’t especially accurate, its ruggedness and simplicity are exemplary: it performs in sandy or wet conditions that jam more sophisticated weapons such as the U.S. M-16.
“During the Vietnam war, American soldiers would throw away their M-16s to grab AK-47s and bullets for it from dead Vietnamese soldiers,” Kalashnikov said in July 2007 at a ceremony marking the rifle’s 60th anniversary.
The weapon’s suitability for jungle and desert fighting made it nearly ideal for the Third World insurgents backed by the Soviet Union, and Moscow not only distributed the AK-47 widely but also licensed its production in some 30 other countries.
The gun’s status among revolutionaries and national-liberation struggles is enshrined on the flag of Mozambique.
Kalashnikov, born into a peasant family in Siberia, began his working life as a railroad clerk. After he joined the Red Army in 1938, he began to show mechanical flair by inventing several modifications for Soviet tanks.
The moment that firmly set his course was in the 1941 battle of Bryansk against Nazi forces, when a shell hit his tank. Recovering from wounds in the hospital, Kalashnikov brooded about the superior automatic rifles he’d seen the Nazis deploy; his rough ideas and revisions bore fruit five years later.
“Blame the Nazi Germans for making me become a gun designer,” said Kalashnikov. “I always wanted to construct agricultural machinery.”
In 2007, President Vladimir Putin praised him, saying “The Kalashnikov rifle is a symbol of the creative genius of our people.”
Over his career, he was decorated with numerous honors, including the Hero of Socialist Labor and Order of Lenin and Stalin Prize. But because his invention was never patented, he didn’t get rich off royalties.

The magnetic strip's worn thin

Hours chatter in high places
Stir up eddies in the dust of rage
Set me to pacing the cage

The sword of Damocles is hanging above your head
It seems every thing's done that must be done
From over here though things don't seem fair
But there are things that we can't know
Maybe there's something over there
Some other world that we don't know about
I know you hate that mystic shit
It's just another way of seeing
The sword of Damocles above your head
The bare lyrics don't do justice to the songs...
Cremation
Well the coal-black sea waits for me-me-me
The coal-black sea waits forever
The waves hit the shore, crying more-more-more
But the coal-black sea waits forever
The tornados come up the coast they run
Hurricanes rip the sky forever
Through the weathers change, the sea remains the same
The coal-black sea waits forever
There are ashes split through collective guilt
People rest at sea forever
Since they burnt you up, collect you in a cup
For you the coal-black sea has no terror
Will your ashes float like some foreign boat
Or will they sink absorbed forever
Will the atlantic coast, have its final boast
Nothing else contained you ever
Now the coal-black sea waits for me-me-me
The coal-black sea waits forever
When i leave this joint at some further point
The same coal-black sea will it be waitin
I see the sword of Damocles
Is right above your head
They're trying a new treatment
To get you out of bed
But radiation kills both bad and good
It can not differentiate
So to cure you they must kill you
The sword of Damocles hangs above your head
Now I have seen lots of peoples die
From car crashes or drugs
Last night on thirty third street
I saw a kid get hit by a bus
But this drawn out torture over which part of you lives
Is very hard to take
To cure you they must kill you
The sword of Damocles above your head
That mix of morphine and Dexedrine
We use it on the street
It kills the pain and keeps you up
Your very soul to keep
But this guessing game has its own rules
The good don't always win
And might makes right
The sword of Damocles is hanging above your head
It seems every thing's done that must be done
From over here though things don't seem fair
But there are things that we can't know
Maybe there's something over there
Some other world that we don't know about

Goodbye Lou
General | Posted 12 years agoHolly came from Miami F.L.A.
Hitch-hiked her way across the U.S.A.
Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her legs and then he was a she
She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side,
Said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side.
Candy came from out on the island,
In the backroom she was everybody's darling,
But she never lost her head
Even when she was giving head
She sayes, hey baby, take a walk on the wild side
Said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
And the colored girls go,
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Little Joe never once gave it away
Everybody had to pay and pay
A hustle here and a hustle there
New York City is the place where they said:
Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
I said hey Joe, take a walk on the wild side
Sugar Plum Fairy came and hit the streets
Lookin' for soul food and a place to eat
Went to the Apollo
You should have seen him go, go, go
They said, hey Sugar, take a walk on the wild side
I said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side, alright, huh
Jackie is just speeding away
Thought she was James Dean for a day
Then I guess she had to crash
Valium would have helped that bash
She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side
I said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side
And the colored girls say
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
In a time when being gay was not talked about and dangerous to life and limp, Lou put it on the radio. As a young man growing up in dangerous times, it was like Superman swooping down out of a clear blue sky and wanting to fuck. Heh
