General | Posted 9 years agoSorry for not being around, my computer decided to freak out and die again, this time both the main hard drive, and the power supply. Both at the least convenient time, so I had to go through hell to fix these. The thing is currently running on part ancient, part new parts like some cyborg Frankenstein abomination. It'll live, for now.
It hasn't been two full weeks of 2017, and I already got sick, had to deal with a stalker, and then this. On top of having one of the worst days today... Either way, back to work.
Sorry for the disappearance, I, uh... don't have wifi in my apartment anymore, so I couldn't post a journal or anything.

General | Posted 9 years agoOkay, either way, I said I'm gonna do it this month, I'm doing it. Both because I need to get back to my regular schedule, and because I need to start gathering money to fix my long-term health problems, mostly the teeth, while there's still teeth to fix at all, with how long I've been putting it off.
Anyway, the schedule I'm going back to is the usual 1-2 IAs per day I used to do. I get them, I finish them the next day, I open up new ones, and they are ongoing during Monday-Friday, on weekends I'll be working on other things and finishing up the remaining couple of things in m backlog (well, also doing that during the work week)
So with these, it's the same thing - 1-2 IA SLOTS ARE OPEN, for a while, and I either pick them out of the comments, or choose the first ones if there's not enough, and get them done by the next day.
So no WIPs to make it go faster, and no super long wall-of-text descriptions, but fixes after they're done are a YES.

Once a sketch is posted here, the high res is on Trello, to avoid confusion~ If it's not, then gimme a poke and I'll upload it.
You're free to ask for fixes and all that, I have the time to do that now, so don't be shy to ask for those if needed~ I'll also go through my old notes and do the fixes I didn't still do/missed.
There's still several sketches that aren't done, and I am aware which those are so far - once I have every single one I could find done, then I'll post a separate post in case I missed someone, etc.
And also a heads-up that I'll need to open one (1), maybe two... probably one IA slot for some emergency meds both for myself and mom, so I'll probably do a post for that later in the evening!

After that I'll make another post for people to reply in case I lost someone along the way or mixed something up~
I'll start posting them once I... resize... all of them haha, and the high resolution versions will be on Trello.

Sketch commission and general updates

As you can see, I'm several days behind the schedule I had planned, due to my health being wonky and getting random migraines, and also working on everything at once and my other job piled on top of it.
Still, the sketches are coming along, and I'll be posting them in batches of 5-10 every other day 'till they're all done. Which should be about a week or so, I guess. Along with the few remaining old commissions.
After that, I'm jumping right to the recent IAs.
One thing though - I do apologize they're out of order and mixed, but I try to work on things depending on my state/what I'm able to do each day atm, and the time, so some of those that require more thought or lots of reading I'm putting off for the next days. Just so I don't miss/mess something up.
I'm not forgetting about them, and if I get to a commission where I'm not sure about something, or can't access the files - I'll send you a note!
And I'll be doing fixes/adding things to the sketches after I'm done with all of them, because jumping back and forth just makes me forget and confuse things even more, and I'm pretty scatterbrained as it is.
I will make a post after everything is done, to make sure I didn't forget anyone or something, so you'll be able to give me a kick if I did miss something.

Just a heads up that things are going okay, the only thing is that I got a bit sick (caught a flu) after a rather unexpected event that was my brother's wedding a few days ago. It was cold outside and I'm a bit dead now with the added pains of shark week on top of that. So I apologize if I didn't reply to your messages yet and am a bit slower, I'll get to things. Still working, just tired;;
That said, I'll be opening a last batch of IA commissions for the bills later today, and after that... Well, that's it. In a few weeks I'll be changing the schedule and all that. So everything's going exactly as planned so far!

Commission updates
General | Posted 9 years agoOkay, SO.
A bit of info on how things are going and future plans.
All of the current IAs are all but finished, so I'll be posting them in a big batch in the next few days. After that, I'll be dashing out batches of remaining sketches.
I've set a deadline to finish all of the remaining art in the queue (including the independent commissions) 'till the end of the month, maximum - a week or so into November, and so far it's going well and pretty much on schedule. I also have that part-time job on my shoulders, with all their overdue work piled up on me, but I'm managing it.
After all of this is done, in November I'll be getting back to my normal schedule of 1-2 IAs or sketches per day, like it used to be. After I sleep for a week, probably.
That said, I will be taking two last batches of IAs to pay off this month's bills and taxes, and it will be... Well, the last time I'll be doing it this way.
I'll open up for them tomorrow evening, and about a week later last time. And then it's off to changing everything come November.

All of the current IAs are all but finished, so I'll be posting them in a big batch in the next few days. After that, I'll be dashing out batches of remaining sketches.
I've set a deadline to finish all of the remaining art in the queue (including the independent commissions) 'till the end of the month, maximum - a week or so into November, and so far it's going well and pretty much on schedule. I also have that part-time job on my shoulders, with all their overdue work piled up on me, but I'm managing it.
After all of this is done, in November I'll be getting back to my normal schedule of 1-2 IAs or sketches per day, like it used to be. After I sleep for a week, probably.
That said, I will be taking two last batches of IAs to pay off this month's bills and taxes, and it will be... Well, the last time I'll be doing it this way.
I'll open up for them tomorrow evening, and about a week later last time. And then it's off to changing everything come November.
Back to work!

Didn't actually get to rest... Instead of four days off I was stuck in poster Hell, and then decided to work on the commissions for a bit anyway, so in the end I got like... Almost a day worth of rest haha. Oh well, such is life!

Birthday and a few days off!
General | Posted 9 years agoJust wanted to do a heads up that I will be taking a few days off from 4-6, maybe 4-7th October due to my Birthday tomorrow and just needing a lil' bit of rest.
I will still be working on current stuff, but I might not be very responsive and reply to notes here during these days, so if I don't, it means I'll do it after 6th or 7th October!
