Found a home, need your help.
Posted 11 years agoSo, my father's unemployment came in and now we have some money to look for a house, unfortunately the cheapest apartment we have found is 650$, plus the security deposit. What I need is at least $500 to put down the rent and security deposit and we'll finally have a home again. I applied for a few places among town, and UPS seems the most promising, though I'm waiting for a call. I'm doing PWYW Commissions for a minimum of 10$ a piece. They are Traditional Artwork with Pencil and Paper. I also accept donations and I will keep track of the money I've made below.
Please help guys, this is the last stretch of the run and I'd appreciate it if I can get this in before my little brother comes down for his birthday on December 20th. And it'd be even better to have it by the end of this month so we don't have to continuously pay Public Storage. You guys have helped me survive for this long, and kept my head above water, just one more push and I'll be safe in my own home. :3

Posted 11 years agoHey guys, I need some help again... 2014 really kicked me in the tail it seems.
We got our eviction and we're getting kicked out on the 15th of September, and with no place to go, me and my father will be homeless. I've applied for several help agencies, and temp agencies for work, but they either have me on a waiting list or are not satisfied with my previous work history.
I recently was also denied for my disability claim, and my father was denied for his unemployment from losing his job after being involved in a car accident with my honda civic, trying to get to work. I've been offered to move into a friend's house but they will not let my father move in with them.
All in all, I've cut my living expenses down to about $262 a month, with $202 for the Public Storage fees and $60 for the cell phone to be on, for contacting potential jobs and for welfare/help agencies to contact me. Food isn't an issue as I qualified for Food Stamps.
All I need is $1-5 from anyone reading this and I'd be able to do odd jobs to make it through the month. And I'm not asking for money to last into the next year, just enough to keep from drowning and freezing until the appeal for disability/unemployment goes through and we have income to provide for us and a small home.
Please help me, not cause I ask you to, but because you'll save a friend from the cold of a Wisconsin winter.

My name is Cody Keller, and recently, the electric company shut off the power to my apartment. I have spoken to them multiple times, and the only way to restore the services is to either pay the balance of 609$ or to contact my uncle and have him send in two letters of his changed address. The last bit is difficult due to the fact that my uncle has been out of the house since august of last year, and has no contact with us. We've tried to explain this to the electric company to no avail and they request us to pay the bill of 609$, and set up a payment plan as well as energy assistance after the initial payment of 609$.

Posted 12 years agoI've dealt with so much drama, starting and finishing it that it almost becomes second nature on how to respond to it and the necessary quickness to remove, note and basically deal with it.
