FurFright 2011
General | Posted 14 years agoSo it seems like I only post a journal when FurFright comes around xD
It's that time of year again, and I will be heading to Connecticut on Thursday, the 13th after work that day and plan on staying until Monday morning.
Staying in the over-flow hotel across the street since I was a doofus and booked the room too late in the year to get in the main hotel. Thinking I'm going to book for next year while I'm at FF this year; depends on if FF2012 will be hosted in the same hotel. It probably will be, but you never know if idiots will ruin it for the rest of us who know how to handle themselves in a group setting, as has been the case in previous years.
Looking forward to getting in touch with those who I only see at this time of year again and having an amazing time as always.
Much love, and I'll see you there :)

Fur Fright is almost upon us
General | Posted 15 years agoSo its that time of the year again. FurFright is right around the corner and it is the only con I attend during the year due to its location. This time, it is actually being held over Halloween! Not much else to say right now other than I'll be there, and looking forward to an awesome time as always!
I get to see people I only see but once a year and enjoy myself in a way that I do not get to for the rest of the entire year - Looking forward to it and hope to meet up with anyone/everyone that I have in years past and a few new people that may not have come before. <3

Murry Purry Poker Furry
General | Posted 16 years agoSo thanks to Deyna_Otter I'm getting back into poker.
I signed into my Full Tilt for the first time in probably a few months. My cash bank roll had been left stagnant at $2.40 for the longest time, I just had a bad run so I haven't touched it in a while...
I started out warming up with some play chips which was an awful idea because, since it's not real money, people will go All-In on every hand, doesn't matter what it is... which is no way to play and just pointless, so I checked out a couple of the smaller cash games with $2.00 buy-in and such.
Had a couple of decent hands against 4 others at the time. People in the small cash games, very much like play chips, do not play very seriously, though better than the no-money d-bags and it actually gives you a sense of accomplishment when you take them down.
Ended up wiping out the table and winning eveyone else's all-in calls ;)
So from $2.40 after a couple of hands, I am back up to $10.71.
Yes, I understand that 10 bucks is not much, but I'm feeling more confident in my poker skills because of it. I'll continue playing the smaller games until I get my bank back up to probably $50 minimum again.
I would like to start building up to play in a Mini-FTOP tourney pretty soon too. Low buy-in tournament with some good cash prizes, chances of cashing out too are like, I believe, up around the 12-15% range on Full Tilt Poker which gives me a better chance at, at least, knowing my level of play against more serious competition online which I haven't done in a while.
I think i'll start progressively updating my journal about this too, at least to keep track of my personal progress and possibly get some tips from fellow poker furs on bad beats :3
Wish me luck! :)
