General | Posted a year agoSomething of an update journal! My leg is much better than it was now, I can sit and work without too much trouble, so I'm happy to get back to work! Pages of Vitae will resume soon, as well as other TC art ^_^

General | Posted a year agoMy leg is taking a lot longer to heal than I thought. It was pretty badly damaged so that's not really surprising... however, as a self employed artist, I get no sick pay. So when something like this happens to me I'm shit out of luck.
I am in a lot of pain, sitting in my computer chair to draw is painful, which is making working near impossible. But I still need to pay rent and like...eat, maybe. I'm trying to cut down on food and only eating once a day at the moment but it's...not ideal.
I'm happy to do commissions if you are okay to wait on them, since I'm still healing and all. I can't give an estimate as to when I will be okay enough to work as normal. I don't know when my leg will get better....

General | Posted a year agoI am home from vacation now, but while I was away I hurt my leg very badly. It's super bruised. Almost the length of the whole leg has a bruise (Yes, hip to ankle). I have been seen by the hospital and has xrays and stuff done and thankfully, nothing is broken. It is badly sprained and badly bruised and very painful.
I will have to recover from this at least a little before I can work on commissions.

General | Posted a year agoI'm going to be taking my mum away for a vacation in a week, this might be my LAST CHANCE to give her a good vacation, and I'm taking her somewhere she has wanted to go for years! I have the cost of the stay covered already, but I DO need some extra funds for food, travel and other expenses.

dragoneer. I never knew him, but his legacy - FA, is how I am able to sustain a living as an artist. Without this place, I don't know where I'd be... I'm sure there are many here who got their start on this site. For that, I will always be grateful.
Rest in Peace bud, I'm so sorry the american healthcare system failed you so fucking badly... what a horrible way to go.

General | Posted a year agoNow that I am back into doing comics, it is something I want to keep up. I want to get better at comic skills. The current Vitae Comic I'm thinking will be a multi part thing, and what I'm working on is Part 1. Support so far has been amazing, so a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has! What I'd like to know is, what would YOU guys like to see made into a comic, or in a comic? Would you like me to restart Third Class, or perhaps work on something else? General | Posted a year agoHi guys, my PC broke over the weekend. It just refused to boot up or even go into BIOS.
Good news is I found a repair guy in my local area, he came and picked it up and repaired it. The issue was my HDDs, one had bricked completely and two were failing. He managed to save and copy everything to new drives except for the HDD that bricked, which luckilly was currently not storing much. The PC is back with me now and working fine. Didn't lose anything so I can continue work as normal.
Bad news is I have 600 GBP to pay. That's the price of the 3 new drives, a servicing and the data transfers + the guy's time, pick up and drop off. It's a steep price but my options were that, or rely on my lazy asshole brother. The repair guy was great, and quick, it only took him 3 days. I would likely ask his help again with PC issues and upgrades.
So, since I need to pay this, I could use some help. Buying a commission or donating to my Ko-Fi is super appreciated!

General | Posted a year agoMy kitty Tia is having some skin issues, she's scratching a lot and licking out her fur. She has a couple bald patches. She is given flea treatment regularly though it doesn't seem to be helping this month at all. I don't know what could be causing her symptoms. She seems happy and healthy otherwise, eats fine, though since she is licking out more hair she is more hairball-y too.
She needs to be seen by a vet. I'll need to pay for a checkup and whatever treatment will likely follow. Possibly tests too? I don't know. Either way, if I can cover just the check up fee for now that would be awesome.

General | Posted a year agoJust wanting to type some thoughts down here. I am going to be starting a small comic called 'Vitae' that focuses around Merri and Crissi, so I hope you are all looking forward to that! It's happening!
So that brings me to how this comic is able to happen, and that has been with some amazing support from people! So first and foremost, THANK YOU to everyone who chipped in, even if it was only a little!
I would love to hear a little feedback from people! If you could answer a couple questions that would be awesome.
1 - If you could support my projects, how would you prefer to do it? Through Patreon where it's a monthly thing, or through ko-fi, where it's one-time donations of any amount.
2 - Do you like having early access to things you support? Or would you prefer that things were released public at the same time, or at least close to the same time?
3 - What other perks would make you likely to support if any?
Currently more people have been supporting me via Ko-Fi, thought Patreon also has a small number too. Patreon is also linked up with my Discord Server and people who join patreon get access to a special channel there for early releases.

3 - OpenMerri + Crissi Comic?
General | Posted 2 years agoNow that my mum's wheelchair is taken care of something I have been wanting to do for a while now is a short comic about how Merri and Crissi got captured. It wouldn't be an overly long thing, maybe 4-5 pages? I need practice with making comics and such.
It's not something I can do without help though as even a small comic is time intensive. If this goes well, I can definitely look into doing more comics and the likes!
