!! EMERGENCY !! Wheelchair Broke...
General | Posted 2 years agoWell 2024 is off to a grand start it seems. My mother has Multiple Sclerosis (Which has been worsening the past 6 months) and she needs an Electric Wheelchair, previously it was mostly for leaving the house but it's getting to the point where she's going to need it in the house too as she's starting to struggle with the walker she has.
The one she has is pretty damn busted, close to dying, parts are literally hanging off or stuck on with superglue lmao...
We need to raise about £1000 for a new one. We'd both be very grateful if you'd help out any ;-;

So that brings me to TC Yulestern. Yulestern is the 'Christmas' holiday in the world of Terra Cruxis and is celebrated in a number of places there. Every year I've done a theme of seeing what the characters are up to at Yulestern! I usually do at least something with Merri, which has kind of become tradition, so I will be doing that again this year.
I'd like to do more, explore some other characters as well. And I'd love to hear your ideas! What characters do you want to see, what situations etc? Feel free to shoot ideas and the likes in comments!

General | Posted 2 years agoSo immediately after I fucked up my leg, I came down with a bad flu. Go me! =D It's been really rough, worst flu I've had in years for sure.
I did take a covid test, which was negative, but it's still a nasty flu so I've been mostly resting. I still have it, but it feels a little better today. My leg is also feeling a lot better now too.
So hopefully back to normal soon. Sorry for the lack of art! Back Home and...seriously injured =]
General | Posted 2 years agoI am back home from my small vacation. It was nice, I had a good time!
However, I have slipped and injured my leg super badly, I can barely walk and I am in a lot of pain. I believe I have pulled my hamstring and other thigh muscles as when I slipped, I did the splits and my fat arse is not made for those kind of athletics!
I had hoped to get back to commission work this week but I may need to postpone it while I recover, I'm sorry! I'll just have to see how I feel but as of writing this... I am in agony =<

General | Posted 2 years agoHey folks. I'm just trying to gauge interest for what you'd like to see from me going forward. As you might know, I'm suffering really awful burnout and feeling rather creatively dead. My head is bursting with stories I want to tell, but the cloud of dread that is paying the basic cost of living makes it so I have to spend most my time working on commissions, and it's really getting me down.
I need to make some changes. I'm not sure what changes yet and so I need your help!
What do you want to see from me? What would you be willing to support with money?

I'm not sure when I will reopen commissions again. I might stick to doing YCHs for a while.
I'd love some feedback from you guys, namely about pricing my work and what sort of YCHs you'd like to see? What Themes, and how much is fair? Also are you interested in multi-slot YCHS (Ones where multiple people can nab the same piece.)

Most people are saying I should focus on myself and do what I want to do, and while yeah I would love to do that, I also still have to pay bills and buy food... I am... not really sure how to do both.

Lately I feel really... I don't know. Broken. I used to get so excited to draw new art, couldn't wait to see the comments and what people thought. I used to have time to draw things that I wanted to draw. These days I'm working on commissions a lot or art I think will get engagement from the community, which isn't nescesarilly what I personally want to do. When I DO draw art that I want to do... I get like 0 engagement. Plus when I'm done with commission work and the likes I'm just so... tired.
I feel nothing anymore. No excitement or drive to create things, I draw what other people want and shove myself to the side. I've shoved myself so far to the side it's like I don't exist anymore. I also used to be a lot more talkative, but these days I thoroughly believe no one wants to hear from me. It doesn't help that I'm asexual and not really much of a furry. There is no denying this fandom is very sexually charged and I just feel like an imposter.
What's worse is if I try and do something else I just feel bad for not working on art. Because art is all I am. All anyone sees of me. I don't exist outside of it. I'm so used now to just shutting my mouth and doing what other people want from me that I think I've lost my identity. I try to be open and engage with people but either I'm super bad at it or... no one cares because trying to get engagement from people is like pulling teeth these days. I don't know why.
I'm sorry. I'm tired, and I feel broken. My spark is dead.HEATWAVE !!UPDATES!!
General | Posted 2 years agoJust a heads up that there's a big ol' Heatwave happening here in the UK at the moment, and I, being ginger as fuck, can't handle it well. It's especially bad when my computer is running and my room turns into an oven.
This means art might be slow for a while, this typically happens in summer I'm sad to say, and while I do have a little AC unit, during the worst of the heat it doesn't do all that much to help. It's easier to work late night/early morning when things are cooler, but in the middle of the day/evening it's pure torture so sadly the hours I have to work in are cut down quite a bit as I also need to sleep when it's cooler.
I'm so sorry for any inconvenience! I will keep working as best I can and hopefully this heatwave won't last too long.

What would you like to see on said stream? I'm always open to suggestions, I also could do some giveaways for every x amount donated. What would be a fair amount?
