ANYWAY, round 3 of the comp just finished, i seriously recommend you guys check it out and see why they deserved to move into the third round

Your awesomeness helped me into the 2nd round of entries.
So, round 2, i need to make another 30 second ep continuing from Ep1. The element i need to use now is a "CARD", need to somehow intertwine that with my current story

They dont have to be a space marine, they can be whatever you want :D well...not everything, i dont plan on animating some of the more ">:3" stuff.
Thing is though, these are a bitch to make, Took me most of the day coz lip syncing is a bitch. it would be like $50 or something

Mirror Mirror - 3D short
Posted 15 years agoYeah. Our group of 3 were to make a 15 second anim. (for my 3D course)

Please watch before continuing, its nice to have unbiased reviews, before having me rip my own shit apart xD
Im annoyed because of the 15 second limit completely destroyed the timing, so its SO FAST. There was soooo little time for me to really animate the characters personality. I was in charge of all the story boarding, pre-visualization and also animated all of red guy. Blue guy was animated by another person in my group. He also did modeling and rendering. The third did audio and textures.
Im guessing we should have picked a more concise idea, or i should have story boarded together, since when we all put our anim together, timing was perfect, but was 28 seconds in total...SLIIIIIGHTLY longer than 15 seconds.
Also...WOAH, I wasnt in charge of materials n such, but im pretty sure i told them not to make the teeth and eyes so shiny and reflective, its like theyre made of perfect chrome...its scary, but whatevs, its too late to make changes.
I wish i couldve helped with audio... i was half dead at this point and the other dude doing audio was pretty munted, so we didnt get that much time on it, and i sound like a tard anyway.
It appears after effects may have sped up the anim too, since i wasnt really there for rendering (had 2 assignments, well..i STILL have to do them) so i couldnt give much input...we were rendering up until 1am the day before it was due (it was due 9am) so...re-rendering was not an option.
