Commission me! OCs, NSFW, and more!
Posted 3 years agoI offer affordable rates on commissions of all types. Most of this information is on my official website (https://www.hpkomics.com/commission/) but I will post some relevant information here. You can go through my gallery for examples. Feel free to ask any questions you may have as well.
Character Illustrations
Character Sketch (per character) $5.00
Character Line Art (per character) $10.00
Character Flats (per character) $15.00
Character Shaded (per character) $20.00
Additional Customization
These are additions to character commissions, as outlined above
Add simple background for single/set commissions + $5.00
Add complex background for single/set commissions + $15.00
NSFW (per character) + $15.00
Source file (per image) + $10.00
Other Art
Comic – Line Art Only (per page) $75.00
Comic – Colored and Shaded (per page) $100.00
Sketch Card – Inked (per card – includes shipping) $20.00
Social Media Icon (per icon) $15.00
Coloring – Flatting/Shading (comics or illustrations) Negotiable
So, for example, a fully shaded NSFW drawing of two furries doing the nasty would run you $70, which is a hell of a deal. A single drawing of your fursona with full color would only be $20. Again, a great deal.
Please reach out if you would like to commission me. My turnaround time is generally very quick.

Commission me!
Posted 7 years agoCommission me!
Posted 8 years agoDo you want great art of your fursona, OC, or even one-off idea that you have? Consider commissioning me because there are SO many ways to do just that.
1) Commission me through my website, hpkomics.com. It is the most efficient way of doing so and if you are one of my patrons I give you a 30% discount on your commission. You are one of my patrons, right? Just about anything you want to commission can be handled in this way. If you commission me here on FA, however, I will use my rates, as based on my website. So feel free to commission me here as well.
2) If you are a fan of Artists & Clients I have some slots there.
3) if you prefer to work through Fiverr I am currently there as well, and have a 5-star ranking.
4) Most Saturdays I do $5 art nights on my Picarto stream. It is first come, first served, and the stream general only lasts for two to three hours.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing from you all. I'd be happy to draw you whatever you would like.

$25 Rule 34/Adult commissions
Posted 10 years agoTesting the waters, contact me at hpkomic[at]gmail.com if you're interested in adult commissions. Only offering single characters, no backgrounds at the moment until I see how this goes, but that's only for the low sum of $25 which is a steal compared to most I've seen.

Support Cosmic Dash: Remove all ads from the site!
Posted 11 years agoI've been using Patreon for a long time now, and decided it's time to do some goal-making. So, why not set a goal that I am already half-way toward reaching? If I can make $50 a month through patreon that removes the need for advertisements on Cosmic Dash entirely. That means that if 50 readers send me $1 for every five pages of comics that go up then everyone benefits.
To make the deal even sweeter I've created two new tiers. There are four tiers total and you get a LOT of cool things at all levels, and it just builds up the higher you go. The latest tiers include access to private comic drawing streams, and the highest tier lands you free line-art every five pages.
So please consider checking out the Cosmic Dash patreon and consider tossing me a buck or so every 5 pages. It would do a lot for the comic.

Contribute Cosmic Dash guest art/comics!
Posted 12 years agoProbably a long shot, but I'd love to run some guest art/comics between my current issue and the next issue of comic. I'd ideally like to post the guest work from the 8th of next month to the 15th based on however many things I actually get. I have plenty of references and information about the comic on the website so you don't necessarily need to be a long time reader to contribute something, but my hope is that you'll become one. Out of character and non-canon stuff is perfectly fine, just keep it pg13.
The webcomic can be read at http://www.cosmicdash.com/
There is a character guide: http://www.cosmicdash.com/about/character-guide/
Lastly, a wiki with character art references: http://hpkomic.wikispaces.com/Character+Guide
Hoping that there will be some awesome people contributing, thanks so much for reading.

New Webcomic Jam Project!
Posted 12 years agoJust wanted to mention I have started a jam alongside some folks called RGBots! You can check it out at http://rgbots.com/
If you are familiar with Jerk City or Dinosaur Comics, you'll have a pretty good idea about what the comic is like. However, we have some twists. We can change panel orders, repeat a single panel once per comic, but we can only ever use the 6 default panels.
We do plan on adding at least three more panels into rotation over the course of the year, determined by votes. Then after about a year, we begin again with six entirely new panels.
So, give it a look, we also provide a template and style-guide if anyone cares to submit their own.

Cosmic Dash Short Story Series: Seeking Artists and Writers!
Posted 13 years agoSome of you may be familiar with my webcomic, Cosmic Dash. Some of you may even follow it somewhat regularly. For those of you who do not, I recently successfully launched a new feature of the website. I’m calling it the Cosmic Dash Short Stories series, and so far there are four authors who are contributing exciting stories set in the universe of my comic.
Here is just a small sample of the offerings the series will provide:
A cycloptic alien investigates a paralytic plant and why a dark cult requires it. However, his actions drag a humble human detective into a very important inter-factional effort.
Several popular journalists are present for a massive music festival on a repurposed mining asteroid where they interview and shed light on the acts.
Two detectives follow a lead to a mysterious abandoned research facility that has become abandoned, and discover terror within.
A former soldier tries to live life as best he can as a test-pilot, but it seems like his past is coming back to haunt him.
A wealthy industrialist... perhaps the most powerful being in the galaxy, opens up in a very special interview with one of the most popular personalities on the news networks.
So far, the contributors have included myself, the writer of Within a Mile of Home, a fan who has created over 34(!!) characters for the festival series, and the creator of Lakewood.
While we have plenty of stories on the way, we definitely would love an illustrated component. That is why I am establishing this thread. What I will do is post stories as they come which need a single illustration. If you’re interested, just let me know! I’ll work closely with you and the author. This is great for exposure, and it is relatively little work! If you’re interested in writing a story, I would love to talk to you as well. All stories in this project are canon, and I will do everything in my power to work these characters into the webcomic.
There is little I can offer in compensation aside from exposure, but all contributors retain the rights to their work. In addition, I am looking into publishing a collection of the stories, just like I publish the comic. Naturally, if you are uncomfortable with this, it is easy to opt your contribution out of the publication if that ends up happening.
So, if anyone is interested, I would love to have you involved. You can message me via PM, or you can always e-mail me at hpkomic@gmail.com.

$20 Character Commissions
Posted 13 years agoI will be doing a LOT of traveling this semester between three campuses, and I could really use some money. My car gets good gas mileage, and when I usually fill (around half a tank down), it only costs me about $20, therefore, I am offering you guys full color portraits for $20.
Basically, I will draw your original characters, fan characters, or your favorite characters in general. This art is high quality, colorful, and the master files are 400 dpi minimum, at all times. You can easily see my gallery and the quality that I believe I put into each piece. At this point, I am willing to do adult artwork as well, but won't be posting most of the results to my accounts. You get a copy you can post if you wish. It's your drawing.
So, $20 gets you high resolution, full color artwork of a character of your choice, as well as a hi-resolution copy in whatever format you wish.
If you are interested in a commission of a character, please send an e-mail to hpkomic[at]gmail.com with the subject line "commission" that lets me know what you are after, and I'll get back to you right away.
So please, consider commissioning me, you won't be disappointed.

5 reasons you should be reading Cosmic Dash
Posted 14 years agoPart of the reason I joined this site was to keep track of a few friends. The other major reason was to maybe introduce everyone to my webcomic, Cosmic Dash. In order to get you to give it a try, I'd like to give you five reasons why you should be reading it.
1) It's like Disney Afternoon, but in prime time. Many of you probably grew up watching great cartoons like Ducktales, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, and Tailspin. Cosmic Dash is like those shows in a lot of ways, only it's written from a more adult perspective. Not in the sense of "not for children", but in the sense of serious continuity, intense action, and mystery, and an often dangerous universe. Cosmic Dash feature strong characters with dynamic relationships and their own goals, triumphs, and failings.
2) Like Star Wars? Star Trek? Futurama? Firefly? Mass Effect? Metroid? As a writer, I like the same stuff you like, and you damn well know that I let it seep into my own work. The universe of Cosmic Dash is big, vibrant, and complex. It's also familiar in many ways. Most importantly though, it's brand new. Some of these projects we all know and love have become so crowded or need a rest. Cosmic Dash is a whole new playground of a similar pedigree.
3) It's cartoony! Action-oriented cartoony artwork tends to be a rarity these days, as the line is drawn in such a way that action is in the realm of manga, while comedy is in the realm of cartoons. Cosmic Dash doesn't see the line, it kicks dirt all over it. The Cosmic Dash cast are visually interesting, and are easy to see not only doing something funny, but something badass as well. We need more comics like that, and Cosmic Dash is one of the first in what should be a wave of similar works.
4) It's a sandbox. I've been working on this universe for years, and let me just say that the future holds some great stories and moments. Characters enter, die, becomes great heroes or terrible villains. Civilization rise and fall, and wars begin and end. Cultures change or get left behind. The Silver Spiral Galaxy is a sandbox of interesting ideas and concepts, and Cosmic Dash is one of the few ways to really experience this.
5) It's consistent. Full color pages in beautiful color with dynamic character designs and interesting background work, every Friday. Every Friday you get a brand new page of sci-fi adventure, and coming soon, you'll be getting a whole extra comic as Cosmic Dash is getting a sister series, Galactic Hub Serreven; a comic that explores even more of the dynamic universe.
Well, have I sold you on the comic yet? If you're interested, hit up the new reader guide. It'll give you more background and lead you right into the first episode. I even have the pilot episode in the archive as well. I want to encourage you all to leave comments and ask questions. Make me put my money where my mouth is and prove that this whole deal is as complex as I claim.
Anyway, thanks for reading this. If you like the comic, please let me know.

$5 full-color commissions are still going on. Hit up my commissions page to see how to get one!
