WHAT IS A JOURNAL?! A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF SECRETS!
General | Posted 4 years agoBUT ENOUGH TALK. HAVE AT YOU!
Yeah I haven't posted a journal in two years, I just lurk here and fav stuff, very rarely ever upload. Just do my own thing, uhh yeah. I dunno, I guess another TMI thing? If you're passing by this, welcome to my page! Hope there's something you like. Maybe I'll post another journal in a year lol.

Yet another Christmas Greeting Journal for you to delete!
General | Posted 7 years agoDon't mind me, just taking up space in your feed. Merry Christmas!
Happy Halloween, everyone!
General | Posted 7 years agoIt's that time of year again. Hoard all the candy, throw your health out the window. Go to a party dressed as a version of something slutty, play some scary game, or watch some scary film, it's time for the SPOOKS!
Hey, I made an LP thing!
General | Posted 7 years agoAmnesia: The Dark Descent just got a hard mode recently and I put together a compilation for it! (Don't worry, there's not going to be any obnoxious screaming, I PROMISE you that.) Took a long time editing too, I hope those of you who are interested and decide to click on the link enjoy it though! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQsUtZfz0tI&t
IT'S OCTOBER, also TMI, I'm bored.

It's my favorite month, hooray! And also an excuse for me to post a journal, yay!
Yeah, this is just another TMI for those who want to throw questions down for the hell of it.

So, hey.
General | Posted 7 years agoWhat's up? I got nothing good to talk about for a journal again, since I'm kind of a lurker on here, so hi!
Neutral Journal here, rest stop among all the others.
General | Posted 8 years agoNo point to this journal except that it wishes you a good day! There may be a smidge of boredom though.
Welp, I'm 23 now. Also, talk about birthdays.
General | Posted 8 years agoI've never been one to enjoy my own birthday that much. I always felt like others were just justified to send things because of another year. It's nice, but I never really enjoyed being put on a pedestal for a day, it always made me feel guilty, like I wanted to give back what was given to me. It always makes me think of someone else who actually needs something nice. I have two good jobs and make decent money, plenty saved up in my bank account right now. I have a good life, and I am very thankful for what I have, I'm not depressed, there's little wrong in terms of condition. I dunno how many people actually read these journals, probably not that many, I would be assuming, but those who would be watching me, yep. I'm 23 now, and not a fan of my own birthday, or the attention, 'tis just another day in the world, life goes on.
Connecticon 2017!
General | Posted 8 years agoSo, I just got back from Connecticon 2017 a few days ago and had an amazing time. Saw a lot of cosplayers, bought some crap, even saw some old friends of mine, Tandom was there, probably the only person I know of on here who I saw, but I got a lot of footage and put a video together, for those who'd like to see it! Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rW.....YqYM&t=15s Regardless, hope everyone is doing well on here.
TMI.. Thursday? I'm bored, ask me shit. :B
General | Posted 8 years agoI have no real reason to make a journal other than to answer stupid questions that watchers might want to ask.
TMI Friday, something something, ask me shit, I'm bored!
General | Posted 9 years agoThis is an excuse for putting a journal up. :P
TMI Tuesday because I'm bored
General | Posted 9 years agoI don't know, ask me anything! Just throwing up a journal here because I got nooooottthhhiiinnnng else to throw up as of late.
Sausage Party Review!
General | Posted 9 years agoLet me just say that this film more than earns the hard-R that it was going for. Not that I mind films with excessive adult content, but this one really didn't hold back whatsoever, given it's constant onslaught of sexual content and F-bombs being dropped once or twice per minute, actually maybe even more. Though, talking about this movie is a bit strange given it's concept. It KNOWS that it's a weird-ass concept and it runs with it. It did have a lot of clever jokes regarding food brands, stereotyping cultures, and just general black comedy.
The thing that Sausage Party does best at it's core is the black comedy, and I am a big sucker for black comedy, being a huge Rick and Morty fan myself. If anything, this film feels like a glorified Rick and Morty episode strangely enough, given it's touching upon existentialism and it's dark, horrific tone throughout. Sausage Party also feels like an excuse just for the concept alone, given that lots of food are dying in horrific, graphic ways, but it's okay just for the fact that it's a cartoon, even though we're talking about sentient beings here. The characters are pretty well-written as well, and you would like to see the protagonists survive given that they're going to be eaten by 'gods', referring to the humans.
While the concept is good and leads to a lot of graphic black humor; it also touches upon further sentient store products that serve as punchlines given their use. Let me just say that the villain throughout the film, at least one of them has an obvious punchline given it's name alone and what society stereotypes the word as itself. I'm trying to keep this review as spoiler-free as possible because the spoilers come in how clever and.. well, frankly, how fucked up the jokes really are. The final act comes to a great climax as well, and.. well, crosses the line twice. What I mean by that is that there's a few segments where it makes Furaffinity look normal. It had me laughing, sure, but there's a point where you go too offensive and ridiculous and it begins to look weird.
At least the ending takes a giant shit on the concept of the film itself, breaking the fourth wall completely. It's not as if it was too strong to believe in this movie in the first place though, and it did give me one of the biggest laughs I had throughout it. Finally, given my closing thoughts on Sausage Party; if you want to just see a weird film that knows it's concept is strange, and if you love black comedy I think you'll enjoy it. It's not an amazing comedy, but for what it is and given that it KNOWS what it is, this film works.
I give Sausage Party a 7/10

Stop being depressed, Furaffinity!
General | Posted 9 years agoWhen I get on Furaffinity every now and then, I have to be completely honest you guys - I cringe at the majority of what I'm seeing on here, be it the constant journals about depression. I see a depressive spiral of insanity in the majority of profiles that I come across, either complaining constantly in their journals, or strangely enough feeding their own sense of happiness that they know of through fetish art. You could call me a hypocrite considering how much art I have myself, though I pay for it on occasion because I actually enjoy showing it off! I like doing what I'm doing, I work two jobs, one being a Database Administrator from home, uploading resumes ever so often and moving information around. My second job is a caretaker for a guy whom has cerebral palsy. I pay my bills, I do my own things. I enjoy playing games on Steam in my free time and checking things on here just for the sake of enjoying it. I like the character's I've made and the friends that I've made.
I swear to god, there's so many people crying about people putting them down, their family, using a disability as an excuse when a better alternative is always there. That, or being incredibly self-conscious about what they do on here. If people ask me, I just show them and laugh about it and move on with my life because I'm comfortable with it. I don't know, I guess I'm just sick of everyone BAAAWWING about their lives, and many waaaaaambulances must be called. I know that there's a lot of drama on Furaffinity, stupid shit that goes around from time to time. My point here though, is this:
Shut the fuck up and smile some more. Try some new things, move out of your comfort zone and attempt to better yourself. Life isn't as bad as you may think it is if you just try. :P

Finding Dory Review!
General | Posted 9 years agoAlright, so I just got back from watching Finding Dory aaaaaannnnd...! ..It was good, but not as good as Finding Nemo, it is a worthy Pixar sequel though, unlike the majority that had come out, ala Cars 2, Monster's University. Though, I have some issues with it. For what they have with this film, going by the knowledge of Finding Nemo and comparing it to it, it feels odd to say this, but a slight retread might have been more exciting. I know that's weird to say because this is an intelligent film and the characters use what they've learned in Finding Nemo to their advantage, such as finding where Finding Dory's parents are pretty quickly, so a lot of continuity is in place, it helps keep people who haven't seen the first one up to date too. Finding Nemo had a big journey to it, one relying on the mystery of the ocean and it's inhabitants, giving a lot of scenes filled with fear and excitement. Once Marlin reaches Nemo it feels like a large journey has been accomplished, crossed, tears are shed and we love the characters we've come across.
Finding Dory has this too, but in spades, the thing with this film, is that using the knowledge from the first one, the characters make their way to the location where Finding Dory's parents are pretty easily, there's less peril and mystery and more relying on characters for comedic effect in this film. Though, because it's so centered on Dory, I found the comedy to be a bit hit and miss. Dory is relying on other characters whom have similar issues to her, we have a whale shark with near sight, an octopus with a missing limb, another whale with malfunctioning echo location. While it's all fine and good that these characters are helping Dory and we get to know them, their personalities and such I suppose the point I'm trying to make here is that it doesn't come off as strong as the weight of the dilemma in Finding Nemo.
Although, the way the plot comes together can only be described as, 'convenient'. I mean that in a good way given Dory's short-term memory, she has to quickly piece things together with the help of her friends. Bits of her memory and flashbacks, coming to her from when she was a child, seeing her parents are also heartwarming and sad moments that help to further the film's plot.
It's a strong film and I do wholeheartedly recommend it, though there's less peril, drama, and relies on the comedy and it's cast a bit more than when compared to Finding Nemo. I know I'm comparing it a lot to the first film, but if I were to judge it by it's own as a standalone movie, it's still standing strong on two legs. I still highly recommend this film regardless. As for the ending, it's a very reminiscent ending where all the characters are in their place, it's very heartwarming. It's as if they had overlooked what happened in the past two movies, let out a sigh of satisfaction and laughed at the danger and peril, sticking together as one happy family. It's a bittersweet, heartwarming note as Dory and Marlin look over the location which started it all.
I give Finding Dory an 8/10, please go see it!

I guess I'll make a journal about Zootopia.
General | Posted 9 years agoSo, I went to see Zootopia today and it's probably just the definition of 'good' and nothing else to me. The plot was pretty predictable and by the numbers, even the big twist I saw coming from a mile away, but besides that there is a lot to like about this movie. The characters were all strong, well-written and the character designs were all very appealing, cutesy and such. The element that I liked the most about this film were the size differences with the animals, which would co-exist with the design of the city, showing how everything works in everyday life. The comedy is pretty sharp in this film too, but there was nothing that had me laughing out loud, more or less just chuckling most of the way through. The social commentary is great as well, and it's message. I walked out with a smile, a good feeling after I was finished with my viewing.
Zootopia is a good film, it takes a few risks, but not a lot, it's not amazing. For what it is, I did enjoy it though, I give Zootopia a 7.5/10

Furpocalypse 2015 Recap!
General | Posted 10 years agoWell, this year was a lot of fun! I met a bunch of old friends yet again, got some badges and commissions! There was a Typing of the Dead contest. (That I got killed at.) The Rocky Horror Picture Show event was a lot of fun, but I wish there could've been more shadow casters. I would've gone up underneath the projected screen myself if there were more around. I have to say, it's definitely the highlight of the convention for me. There was a dramatic reading of My Immortal. That infamously bad fan fiction and oh my lord, that was an absolute riot. But hey, badge uploads coming, some other pics, and there's going to be some links soon to Furpocalypse videos, one of the furry parade and another of just a bunch of other bits of the con I caught with the camera.
